The Degrassi writers confirmed this 2-hour movie is more of a fun, transitional episode as we move onto the new series, Degrassi: Next Class.  The special will air this Sunday, August 2nd on both MTV Canada and TeenNick.

  1. I think this special is going to give us a heads up on what Degrassi Next Class is going to be like since I don’t see Clare, Drew, Eli, etc, in the previews.

    1. Basically lol. The seniors last episode was “Finally” so anything beyond that will only feature the undergraduates.

    2. Maybe they’ll use this special to fix my ships… Novas/Matlingsworth 4ever! (Though it doesn’t look like it)… I didn’t like these younger characters as much as the previous few graduating classes but maybe now on Netflix, they’ll be able to give them substantial plotlines.

  3. This looks weird. I know the Degrassi movies have always been more high concept then the regular episodes, but a murder? I hope this isn’t a sign that Degrassi’s attempt to move to the next era is to be more like Pretty Little Liars. (although sure that they won’t drag a murder mystery all season. But it is weird to be doing it at all).

Seems Grace and Frankie will be hanging out a lot in the episode. Which is weird, I know they got to know each other during the Degrassi Nudes thing, but odd to see them apparently hanging out a lot.

And what was with them rolling around on the grass. I am sure that isn’t what it looked like, know better than to take the trailers at face value after over a decade of sensationalized promos. But if there REALLY is going to be some kind of Grace/Zoe romance like that made it look that would be the most random pairing ever. lol.
