Degrassi kids these days don’t realize how lucky they have it!  Back in my day, on top of walking to school 15 miles in the snow both ways, we had to pay $50 for every Degrassi boxset.  Once Echo Bridge took over production of the DVDs starting with season 7, the prices were reduced to about $20.  One of the benefits of waiting to buy them, especially here in the U.S., is that sites like Amazon will go through phases where they slash the prices tremendously.

If you can get a boxset from seasons 1-6 for less than $20 and one from seasons 7-12 for less than $10, that’s a steal.  Here’s a look at the currently prices for Degrassi DVDs in the U.S. and Canada:
