The cast of Degrassi (well some of them) is back on set today as the show resumes filming of the rest of Season 11. Filming has been on hiatus for quite some time as Epitome has been filming their new series Highland Gardens. Thankfully they’ve finished all of the Toronto filming for HG (they’re now headed to L.A. to finish shooting there), which finally frees up the set for the Degrassi crew.
We all know for sure that Nowhere To Run (the Degrassi special that isn’t really a special, they’ve just decided to call it that to make it sound more important than it really is) airs on the 24th on MuchMusic. But Stephen Stohn tweeted to a follower that this episode won’t be airing on TeenNick until November. That explains why there was absolutely no info about the episode in TeenNick’s October press report. So much for it being a “Halloween” special. For those asking, I’ll be reviewing the episode when it airs on the 24th. I’ll always review episodes on their first run, regardless of which network airs it first. Waiting (in my case) is pointless.

By the time it comes out in the States we will know what already happed. POO POO to Teennick. It would be so nice if the Canadians fans do not ruin it for us. But that never happens.

Yeah it never happens and they shouldn’t be expected to not talk about it. Staggered airings happen daily in the US with shows being aired on the East Coast first, but it’s not that big of a deal. The problem is that from the outside there is NO reason TeenNick should be waiting to air the episode. What else are they doing and what else do they have? Nothing. Not even their big event, The Halo Awards, is airing on TeenNick first….it’s gonna air on Nick@Nite b/c besides 90’s Are All That and Degrassi there’s no reason to even care about the network. Honestly I don’t even think they should bother airing the special, just wait and give us another week of Degrassi in 2012.

I agree completely basically TeenNick sucks. I think they should show Degrassi on the CW or some other syndicated station because most of the storys should not be shown by kids under 14. And plus they may get better ratings

Wait… So is the episode a Halloween special, or Halloween themed or something? I was really looking forward to watching a Degrassi Halloween special this October. :(

MuchMusic is making it Halloween themed, even though the episode takes place during the summer. It’s not really a special, it’s just a regular hour-long episode (there’s no zombies or anything)…they’re just calling it a special because it’s the only episode being aired this fall
