DegrassiBlog keeps getting bigger and bigger, passing the 3 million view mark in less than 2 years. And I’m excited because it’ll probably break the 4 million mark before the end of the year.
I’m more and more grateful of the people that frequent this site given the state of Degrassi’s growing online community. Nearly every cast and crew member is on twitter, and there are tons of Degrassi fans who have their own blogs now on tumblr. If someone tried to start a blog like this right now it’d be difficult, because how do you stand out from the crowd when there’s so much going on and all the Degrassi info is right at everyone’s fingertips nowadays?
So thank you to everyone who still comes to this site, turning it into a trustworthy news source that has a far greater reach within the Degrassi fandom than any real gossip website ever could (even though those sites have a humongous readership in general, Degrassi info is an afterthought to them and their readers).

I received this question on tumblr the other day, and as of right now no, I have no definite plans to do anything like that. Actually the thought of it makes my head hurt. I know that I won’t be able to handle two months of staying up to 4 or 5am in the morning trying to put videos together. I’ve been trying to work out different concepts in my head of ways to make short and easy videos, or maybe do one recap video at the end of each week, but nothing’s set in stone yet.

I was thinking the exact same thing, but honestly there’s no point in even trying to figure out Degrassi’s timeline anymore. Once they started splitting up the school year in seasons 6 and 7, all hell broke loose…it could be winter 2015 in the Degrassi universe for all we know.

Yes, I sat at my computer for 3 hours Friday morning waiting for the new promo to be posted. The guy who had the promo announced that he had it on Thursday afternoon, and kept saying it would be posted soon. But eventually he said they had to wait until Friday to post it (usually when a gossip/entertainment site announces that they’re going to post something, it happens in the morning or early afternoon). I woke up at 10:30 expecting it to be up, but it wasn’t. So I, along with many other annoyed Degrassi fans kept waiting around for the promo to be posted, which it was 3 hours later.

They’re episodes that were just OK…some good parts, but nothing that made them stand out in the long run. In Fight The Power I definitely see what the message of Jane’s plot was. However, I just don’t consider Derek a formidable nemesis…ever. I was waiting for Jane to knock his teeth out at any minute. But at the same time I felt like the plot was a little too over the top at times in presenting a female dealing with the challenges of being harassed by her male counterparts. The Shep was a total joke in this episode. Hell he was a joke his entire stint on the show…he was nothing more than a caricature. Oh yeah, let me remind you that the subplot of this episode was awful…the terribly abrupt ending of my beloved couple Parcy and the beginning of my most hated couple, PIA.
Money for Nothing is probably worse than the C grade I gave it. Holly J before Danger Zone is almost unwatchable. Most of the time her character is so terrible for no reason whatsoever. She hurts people first and asks questions later…all for the sake of keeping up a “public perception” that only exists in her head (I’ll never believe the Holly J then was a popular as we were supposed to think she was). At least Queen Bee Paige had a heart at times. The subplot was very random as well, with Ms. Hot Sauce coming back and staying with Peter at his new place. Blah.

I’m watching Adam on Degrassi right now, and he totally reminds me if Kurt Hummel on Glee. Okay, maybe not the way he acts but how he looks (his hairstyle). Can anyone agree with me on this?

omg, Kary, u using happy noodle boy MADE. MY. DAY! much like we got spoiled by getting 4 new episodes a week, i beleave we also got spoiled by getting a review from u after every episode. i wud totally understand if u switched to a weekly (or even biweekly) review format.

…….can I just say how much I love this comment section? When I say that I mean the people who comment. Its nice to see how people interpret an episode, as well as the different personalities, and the people who just make me laugh (facultybob and DTNG). I think thats one of the reasons I like coming to this particular blog site.

I love how random the advert for the Mobile game was at the end of the Much promo. Anyways, it looks good, and kinda clears up stuff about the Drianca storyline in Spring Fever. That’s enough for me. Any more promos will make the storyline too obvious and make it the storyline in All Falls Down – we all know what happens between Eli, Clare and Fitz, the question is can they make it out alive?
My guess is Anson gives Drew the gun, and either betrays him or beats him up because towards the end, you see Drew walking while acting casual then all of a sudden running, like he’s scared of doing something.
The Fiona storyline looks amazing.

Kary, I saw that you were answering questions. For my blog, I was doing a poll for all of the Degrassi bloggers who’d like to. Maybe you’d like to do it as well. See, I disagree on the difference between Holly J and Paige. Paige was a total bitch up until a specific event… what Paige did to Terry in S1, and Ashley, just about everyone except J.T? Holly J they showed she had more to her than her bitchiness from Day 1. Sadly S7 and S8 were so scattered they couldn’t focus on HJ’s internal issues. But every time her bitchiness is brought up in one on one talks her older sister Heather (who is a wonderful role model all we know of the character) gets mentioned, which does set up why she’d believe people want her to be cruel for nearly no reason.
Money for Nothing was the first step out of Holly J’s comfort zone where everything is her way. Of course, I do draw issue with the fact that there’s NO FALLOUT for Mia that a teenage mother is sleeping her way to the top in modeling. But that’s just my hate for Mia bleeding in.
