Jesse Trajkovski (the guy in the above photo) is a Canadian actor who tweeted about having a role in the upcoming season of Degrassi.
Jesse’s been on set for several weeks now shooting scenes. There’s absolutely no confirmation as to what kind of character this guy is playing. Of course there’s speculation among fans that this guy is “Mo,” or a character named Pauly, based on the fact that Jesse tweeted a pic of a room he was chilling in that had the name Pauly on the door:

Remember the Degrassi mobile app Stephen Stohn talked about several months ago? We now have somewhat of a timeframe for its release, with Stephen saying it will be available starting either July 12th or July 19th. Some info on the app:
It was scheduled to be released this spring/early summer. However, it was pushed back because Stephen wasn’t satisfied with the initial test version.

The Season 10 (The Boiling Point) dvd WILL be released on May 17th in both Canada and the U.S.
There’s no information about any potential extra content on the dvd. The prices vary, but as far as I’m concerned they’re a heck of a steal (under $30). The dvd prices have been good the past several years…I remember back when Degrassi dvd boxsets costed $50.

I think Jesse plays Pauly not Mo, cause he is not overweight-unless they changed the Mo character in some aspects. I would prefer him to just have the name Paul instead of Pauly though. I still don’t like the DVD cover, with Clare and Eli having the bigger pictures cause the other characters are just as important as they are. Also, nice job with the Bianca background-looks VERY DRAMATIC!

Mo and Pauly are both horrible sounding names. Anyways, Mo is supposed to be overweight so unless they revamped his character, I don’t think this guy will be playing him. He’ll probably play Pauly, whoever that is. Looked on his Twitter and he has some scenes with Anya, so maybe he’s a new love interest for her or something.

Kary , I agree with you on not buying the whole Pauly and Mo thing . And do we really need new characters , we got enough characters for now at least . Although , we haven’t seen an obese person since the beginning of Degrassi: TNG . I would be nice to see a character like that , but who knows that they changed his whole image already !?

Well in his twitter he said he was shooting scenes with Daniel Kelly (thats Owen if you didn’t know), so maybe he’s just Owens new friend. That’d also make sense about why he’s hanging out with Anya, coz Owen’s got/had a crush on her, so something might happen between the 3 of them

Funny how during the whole season Eli and Clare only interact with each other and Adam and fitz… We never see them interact with characters out of their range. Like Riley and Zane only interact with each other and Anya an noone else at all. They should spread the characters around more so they can have a variety of characters interacting and not just staying within their peeps

^ I feel bad for you! You guys have been left in the dark since SEASON 3 :/ Also, I’m glad they’re bringing back Saved By The Bell. They’re also keeping What I Like About You. Even if it’s in a minimal timeslot that I won’t get to watch until Summer, I appreciate it because I’ve been really ticked off at how they first took away The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, then Full House AND SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH :( I would watch that show faithfully at 3 in the morning every day. I can’t really complain about Saved By The Bell regardless of them bringing it back though, cause I recently got all 5 Seasons for just THIRTY bucks at Wal-Mart!!! :)

They used to play saved by the bell over here when i was like 9 (i’m 15 now) and i loved it, but it’s almost impossible to find online and u can’t buy the dvd’s of saved by the bell or degrassi or pretty much all those shows anywhere here, so i’m going on a holiday after i finish school to canada and america and i’ll spend all my money on dvds :P

Yayayayayayyayay, can’t wait. I’m seriously excited for this season, which is funny, because when I started watching degrassi:tng from season 1 you were doing season 9 and i watched them all by the time u guys finished season 9 and were waiting for season 10, but i wasn’t really excited waiting for it and i left it and didn’t come back to it for like a few months and then i watched them all and now i’m obsessed. I reckon it’s coz i found this site and now i’m fully addicted to it plus the fact that Justin Kelly’s coming :)

The show is soo good if you kept watching after the first episode! and its actually pretty funny. and it had a great iffhanger for the season finale! im so mad D: and to be honest i thought the later half of gigantic was better than degrassi ”in too deep” -_-

I on the other hand am very happy this show is being cancelled. In no way what so ever did it compete with degrassi. U no u put sloppy shit like this out so quickly to try and get the most views and look where it gets u??? It didn’t even make it past the first season. Like really for shits sake ppl why don’t u take the time first to really make sure everything is at it’s best and then put it out to the public. I mean I don’t no about u guys but everything about gigantic seemed so rushed to me. A show about life in the spotlight?? Really bitch really?? I mean that sounds nowhere near as appealing to me as degrassi’s whole purpose. Thank god this bullshit is being cancelled. Now maybe they can put something out that I actually can fall back on when degrassi has gone.

^ Now that the show is over, I’d like to clear one thing up: I for one? Did not hate the show. However, I’ll be the first one to admit that the pilot was extremely random and the first half of the season had some MAJOR faux pas. In fact, I knew the show had been filming since September 2009 and it would be centered around the kids of major celebrities dealing with the baggage of growing up in the spotlight. I heard the title and was like “Gigantic? Okay… Sure.” And then the first promo. I began to find the title a tad bit disrespectful, as I automatically assumed they were referring to the weight of Piper. Now, there are two things that lead to the cancellation of this show. First, there were so many Degrassi fans who planned to go in hating the show no matter what. That’s fine, because the first 10 episodes sucked… However, the 2 new episodes that premiered on March 11 had great twists and a script that actually made me want to keep watching.

But sadly, people were so on their horse that they didn’t even bother tuning in. As we all know, Teennick isn’t one of the best channels around. Never has been, never will be. The main reason is that it’s not a channel that everyone has access to. But beyond that, it has next to NO new shows. The only shows it has ever had have ended on cliffhangers. That gets a little old after a while. Now add the fact that Nick Cannon spent half a year advertising the whole “YOUR channel” thing. Well, hello… He NEVER listens to fan requests! He doesn’t even talk to his fans on Twitter. You can see it in the commercials-he’s so conceited that he’ll take any chance he gets for us to see the face of our ‘wonderful’ chairman. For goodness sake, look at The Nightlife-HOW THE HELL could he have thought that would attract viewers?! Nothing but a bunch of bimbetic dancers prancing around…

Another thing: if 99% of your programming is going to consist of old shows and music videos, you at least need to do it right. I loved Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide as much as the next guy-WHILE IT WAS AIRING. Replaying it just shows how incredibly corny it was. When you are dumb enough as a chairman to replace The Fresh Prince Of The Bel-Air, Full House and Sabrina The Teenage Witch with shows like H20, Big Time Rush and Zoey 101? You are doing a seriously bad job of maintaining your programming lineup.

Degrassi is honestly this channel’s only redeeming quality at the moment… Hopefully, with shows like Saved By The Bell, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Victorious, The Adventures Of Pete & Pete, Clarissa Tells It All, All That, The Amanda Show and Kenan & Kel coming to TeenNick, some classic elements of The-N we knew and loved will have a permanent role in the fold of things.

Finally, as an avid viewer of The-N/Teennick since I discovered Degrassi in 2003, the one thing I’ve noticed is that they have a constant pattern of eliminating ALL new shows-honestly, ratings to do not matter to them. Degrassi aside, a show could have millions of viewers and they would still cancel it for the pure fact of making room for even more broadcasts of former shows. I still don’t get it. With a programming history like the one they’ve had, I simply can’t see new television pitches lining up at their door every year. I assume they get two every time, maybe 3 at max. Yes, it sucks, but after 8 years, I just… Don’t see it changing in any way shape or form. And LOL at TeenNICK being taken over by Nick Cannon. That was such an obvious set-up from the get-go.

But yeah, degrassi really isnt going to last forver, it MIGHT last for a while longer but not forever. So teenick really needs to come up with orginal ideas and take thir time with the scripts and the new show ideas, because rushing a huge project just to put somthing out there ends up bad. but yeah, anyways, gigantic was a good show, not amazing, but good.

^ Yes, but that’s not a Teennick original. It’s an Epitome Production called Highland Gardens. It’s also a Degrassi Spin-Off in some sick twisted way, so naturally we can assume it will be good and last more than one season… On the other hand, I FINALLY found the song that they played in the first TeenNick Promo. You know, the one that premiered on August 14th 2009 during Degrassi Goes Hollywood and had that whole “New Name, Same Channel” bullcrap? I had the weirdest dream of a different way degrassi ends or starts up next season. It starts off with the whole ghostface scream type thing but it doesnt end up finishing that part cause my dream suddenly changed. So Claire writes a story that she likes big Afros knowing Eli will read it, and so Eli comes to school with one (so does holly j?) and everyones laughing at him and Claire goes “I knew you would do that! This is my real story!” about to put it in the fax machine type thing to turn it in. Then he goes “No that one was brilliant!” and tries to get it out of her hands and she does the usual stay away from me freak thing like she did at the end of the episode. Then it went to Declan, and he was trying to tell his mom a secret. It was weird cause it was in my back yard, and he told her he was gay and his lover was the coach! Then an elephant appeared cause I guess the coach is in the circus? Then we all went to prom and then the characters disappeared out of the dream.

I really hope season 11 shows the hardships of being a teenmom. Jenna lives with her brother and KC lives with his ex-addict mom. She’s should discover how stressful and expensive it is to be a young mom. (i’m not saying ppl can’t do it, but it feels like season 10 made her pregnancy to be no big deal). Degrassi is all about showing real issues in my opinion. And I felt they went all soap opera since the original next gen cast left.
They just lack so much depth. Like Claire & Eli in the final episode. very lame representative of a crazy, controlling boyfriend. the episode with Terri and Rick was so much more compelling and real.

and a simple question: WHy did season 10 have to have 44 episodes? why couldnt the summer epsidoes (the boiling point) be season 10, and the fall and 2011 episodes be season 11, that way 2011 summer episodes could be season 12 and so on.
