News about the app: I’ve tested the version to date, and just don’t feel comfortable releasing it now..
..it needs to be great, and right now it’s just good.
We’ve learned a lot in the course of developing it, and are going back to the drawing boards with a much better/more integrated overall plan
the bad news is it means it won’t be ready till the late spring/early summer…
the good news is that when we do release it it will be cutting edge, engaging, and very Degrassi…

oh, but when we do release it it will be on iPhone, iPode Touch, iPad AND Android..

Phew, I had my protest signs and genetically-modified tomatoes ready to march on the Epitome set if they weren’t working on a Blackberry app. I don’t think anyone’s too upset that the app isn’t ready yet, I know I’m not (they haven’t really talked about it very much either). But I do think that releasing it early next summer would be a great move for the Degrassi brand…people start getting excited about next summer’s telenovela so you roll out the app a month or two before it starts to get everyone even more geared up, while at the same time keeping them occupied with this new feature.

That’s great news! I won’t be getting my iPod Touch until late spring/early summer anyway. Oh and BTW I plan on getting a Blackberry. I have a StraightTalk phone (HORRIBLE service; do NOT get) that I plan on replacing.

I’m pretty sure it was fake as it was just a blatant ad for the Zeno acne treatment device that Fiona let her borrow. You know most of those actors are lucky enough to have perfect skin! :o
I have an iphone and up until now I had no idea there was going to be a Degrassi app… this is super exciting! I’m sure it’ll be fun, especially since they’re really taking the time to make it good instead of rushing to get it out there which would result in a crummy product. Does anyone know what the Degrassi app will do…?

I was actually wondering about the app today! It’s kind of disappointing that it won’t be out until like May or June, but I’m sure it will be a great app once it’s released. I wonder what kind of features it will have.

I really don’t see them killing Clare off… she’s all set to become one of the major characters after the senior kids graduate, and her romance with Eli is getting the show way too much publicity right now. It would make too many people angry and be rather pointless.

Doubt Clare dies, too similar the whole idea of Julia’s death. Plus, I think she’s become too major of a character and is recently getting more and more main plots so I don’t think they’d just cut her. Maybe, and this is a blind guess, but maybe it has something to do with Eli internally. Like, I’ve heard he’s hiding another secret and that he starts having relapses of Julia. I have nothing to confrim any of this but I think that’s more likely than Clare dying.

And its a school… The storylines are obviously going to repeat themselves. That’s like saying someone can’t have sex because… They’ve done it before.
