Stephen Stohn has been mentioning that since Angela will be 14 soon… Now would be the right time to bring her back. Although her character won’t be 14 until at least Season 12 (She was five back in Season 1) @alexasteele, the sister of Cassie and the actress who plays her, tweeted that she would love to come back to Degrassi! Stephen Stohn said that they would have to find a way to get them (her, Joey, and possibly Dianne) back from Calgary and into Degrassi, but they’re gonna *try* to make it work. Another note: Jack Simpson is currently 5 years old, so if and when we see him at Degrassi: it’ll be at least 9 seasons ahead of right now. Also, I never realized this, but do you remember in “Lost In Love” when Johnny mentioned a brother in Alli’s grade? People are wondering why we haven’t seen him. Well after watching that episode, and with the whole fact that he was ashamed to be dating a niner, I’m sure we can all agree that he made that up as a cover to why he was there. If Degrassi continues on like this for a few more seasons, I wouldn’t mind seeing Angela at Degrassi. But only if they could secure Pat Mastroianni in a recurring role. Anyone know the behind-the-scenes story about Joey’s move to Calgary anyway? It really seemed unnecessary, but I’m assuming Pat had a hand in this.

It’s not that I necessarily prefer the older characters over the newer characters, but I hate that I have no idea how some stories ended. What happened with Paige’s hiv scare? Did Paige and Marco ever make up? Did Ellie and Craig get together? Is Sean still alive? Manny and Jay got back together, but did they get reengaged? What is Spinner doing, since he hasn’t been in the dot? Where did Johnny go? Etc., Etc., Etc. I understand ratings and whatnot. Their main audience is in high school, so they’d be more interested in that area, but special appearances are always exciting! I love that he said anything was possible, and even more I love that his example was Sean coming back!
Don’t get me wrong. I love that new characters. Adam is amazing, and claire might be my favorite all time female character. But that doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten about the older ones.

okay so many people were/keep on saying that, Stephen Stohn said that someone old is coming back. Now i randomly go on to Scott aka Johnny’s twitter and he says hes watching videos with alicia, luke, munro, ray, jahmil, etc(i think thats everyone though lol)
Now this is around the same time the other cast *stated above* tweet, On set read through, and rehearsals no filming.
So I think(strongly) that Johnny may be coming back later this season but thats just what i think Lol XD

Jess’ actress has finally gotten a twitter, and here’s what she’s revealed about Jess so far:
-Jess’ full name is Jessica Martello.
-She’s “clumsy and a bit of a flirt.”
-She’s a niner
-She’s not in the promo…in “the next one” she’ll be wearing a yellow shirt (presumably the niner uniform)
-She’s a recurring character, not a regular. So I’m guessing she won’t be added to the intro (since Stephen said only two people were added to it – I’m guessing Zane and Owen)

Owen already said he was taping new scenes for the opening.
So I’m guessing it’s either Zane or Fitz as the second one. Doesn’t make sense why they both wouldn’t be in, they were BOTH in season 9 and have been shown a lot this season.
And I’m guessing Peter and Leia will somehow be edited out.

Well, Stephen said that they wanted to add 3 people to the intro, but one person wasn’t available because of conflicting schedules, so their character just wasn’t added.

maybe its zane that dosent come back cuz stefan stohn said in the interview that someone they thought wud be in the second half turned out not to be becuz they had to shoot something else at the same time or something like that he said it was out of the 3 recurring characters (owen,fitz,and zane) and if daniel kelly said he was shooting some scenes and fitz was confirmed that he was coming back its gotta be zane rite??? o boy i hope fitz didnt find out he had to shoot something else at the same time cuz i really want fitz to come back!!!

I wonder if Jahmil (Dave) will be in much of the rest of the season. I know he’s in that tazer scene but no cast members ever mention shooting with him on twitter, he didn’t go to India, wasn’t at the meet and greet…but I guess it’s the same with James (Fitz).

Terrrrible 1 week till premier promo. It was basically the same clips we’ve been seeing except like 1. I hope there is a new one later on. Don’t they usually have a promo for the actual episode and not just a promo for the new season by now?

@matt they usually dont show an actual promo for the first episode they just kinda leave it as degrassi premieres october 8th at 9 and you kinda have to be suprised about what the first episode is actually about but after the first episode we should see a promo for the second episode the then after that the third episode, ect.

Why all the hate on Gigantic? I hope it’s good and people watch it. It’s not healthy for TeenNick to be relying so heavily on Degrassi as it’s only source of original programming currently. Finding a new successful show would be good for us as well, because then the network won’t be playing Degrassi constantly, which while us fans here don’t mind, the casual fans might be a little turned off by the constant playing of it, which means ratings would go down.
Just remember: Who Wants to be a Millionaire was super popular until ABC started airing episodes in pretty much every available primetime slot they had, and then people stopped caring.

so… Sam just tweeted that she’s filming w/ Dan (Owen) late into the night….could this mean they’re possibly dating? If so this could some major tension between her and Riley…that would be nice to see as long as they stay friends!
Also I’d be behind Anya/Owen 100% because I think they’re w/o a doubt the 2 most attractive actors on the show right now. (And maybe anya can make owen less of a dick:p)

im really sad that the promos suck so much this season. i miss the awesome character-specific ones that were separately filmed, as opposed to a bunch of clips. you know, the ones where the character is talking and hinting about their storylines? i loved those!

I want them to do that again too. They could have a lot of fun with some character specific ones, especially this season. I feel that at this point, we would probably get more information from those than from these really boring promos we’ve been getting so far. Maybe they’ll do them once they actually start airing episodes? I hope so.

Exactly! I’m glad some people agree because a lot of people are saying “omg I cant wait it looks so good” and stuff like that while I’m sitting here saying I can’t wait either but what looks good? We haven’t gotten a preview for any storylines besides little things like Jenna on the TV show, Ali/Bianca fight, Declan comes back and the new rules. Not actual promos for episodes/storylines like in the past. They should make a new Music Video promo! lol

I think the promos are fine, Its just that they don’t want to spoil the whole freakin season in one promo. If you get too much then why even watch, you will know what happens without even watching. A good example of this is that movie Charlie St.Cloud, The whole entire movie is the trailer >.<

Teennick is usually the channel (IMO) with the better promos…They usually give us a decent amount of information for the episode, without spoiling the important details. But they’re too busy promoting Gigantic to give us decent Degrassi promos this time -_- IDK what MuchMusic’s problem is…Maybe they realized that they completely spoiled Still Fighting It and All Falls Down for everybody?
