The Exec tweeted information about the second half of Season 10, and also talked about the potential for an 11th Season:

“Here’s the scoop: the Boiling Point was the first half of Season 10–it ended last week, it was 24 episodes broadcast daily. When the Boiling Point ended we were at Winter Break… when we pick up this October we will be returning from Winter Break.
The episodes starting this October are no longer rferred to as the Boiling Point, they are simply Degrassi.. they will be broadcast weekly. There will be 20 episodes broadcast weekly in the second half of Season 10.. this is down slightly from our original projection of 24.
At the end of the 20 episodes in the second half of Season 10 we will be just starting Spring Break. While nothing is confirmed, the ratings for Degrassi have been so good this year that we are very confident there will be a Season 11…
Season 11 would start likely in July of next year at Spring Break, and the first half of Season 11 would likley consist of 24 episodes broadcast daily–just like this year!”

I’ve decided to just wait for Degrassi to air instead of watching all of the promos and putting together what’s gonna happen. After The Boiling Point, I learned that they overhype everything to make it look good, when really it is just another season of Degrassi to come and go. I don’t think they’ll kill off/ get rid of another character anytime soon.

They don’t, but TeenNick DOES blatantly lie about what happens in an episode by taking clips out of context, taking scenes out of context, using misleading words, and the list goes on. They made it look like someone would die or at least get seriously injured, in fact the way they used the clips was almost them exactly saying that.
Even so, Season 9 was so bad I nearly gave up on the show completely, but Season 10 has actually been really good so far (aside from some 2-dimensional characters and a lack of certain scenes being shown that should have been)

I’m personally sick of people blaming everything on Teennick/The N. If you haven’t gotten the point, the sole purpose of promos is…(wait for it) TO PROMOTE! So of course many clips and objects will be used out of context people…if they just said “This is when Fitz pretended to stab Eli to scare him really bad” will you honestly watch?? NO! so they just throw a few clips of the knife and bring you in. Every station does it…get over it! (rant over)

Here’s how overhyping works. If they make everything really mysterious, and it seems like nothing huge is going to happen, theres a better chance that there WILL be a big shocking event, whereas if they blatantly show something dangerous (like Fitz’s knife), then it’s most likely just a scare…

I’m undecided about how the timeline plays over these seasons. It seems unnecessarily complicated by making this school year end during Season 11, but I guess it’ll be nice to still have the seniors on the show for a little while longer.

I think it will be noticeable whether it’s weekly or not. For the last two seasons the last 4 episodes were put together as the movie. I guess since there’s only 20 episode they aren’t doing a movie this year? (which personally doesn’t bother me). The fans are expecting 24 episodes and only get 20, yea it’s only 4 episodes but it feels like they are telling us that this season their is going to be 10 episodes of Glee and only give us 6.

SECOND, they are still deciding if they are doing a 1 hour spring break special or another 2 hour movie.
Third, @Matt even if 4 episodes are missing it is LITERALLY unnotice-able using the format teen nick always use which gives episodes in fall, then like a two – three week break then the winter episodes then it comes back next year around february. Also why even complain about 4 episodes missing when we get like about two times the amount of episodes now? Thats just really ungrateful.

He said that they are doing 20 episodes instead of 24 so how is that not saying anything about the last 4 episodes? They may still be making a movie but that would still require the 24 (4 extra) episodes. I don’t look at it by the format TeenNick does but if I did the 4 episodes would be one month less of a break that we would get between episoes. I remember last season we all hated those huge breaks TeenNick gave us and by getting rid of 4 episodes that calls for more breaks again. I mean I don’t care about it anymore were still getting 44 episodes in total which is a lot but to defend myself .. it’s still 4 episodes less that were going to get where more surprises and cliff hangers and new storyline could have erupted, especially if they don’t do a movie. They have even done 24 episodes in the past without a movie. I know that it’s 4 more episodes that the cast has to film but they ordered 48 episodes and are still doing 44 so what’s the big deal about 4 more since that’s the direction they were already going? But like I said I am upset (because it’s 4 less episodes for us) but I don’t care that they aren’t doing 4 episodes since we are still getting 44 episodes in all. I’m just wondering what made them drop it? What if they decided to do 20 episodes in the beginning instead of 24. That’s one less week of the boiling point we wouldn’t have had. Even though they aren’t doing it weekly I still feel like it makes a slight difference haha.

True. The timeline is a very tricky subject matter. They may think they can use a ‘semi-floating’ timeline and it’ll all make sense. Little do they know is that they screwed up SO many things. It’s 2010/11 now. They announced season 5 as the class of 2006, and 7 as the class of 07. This is why it’s a BIG MISTAKE. Jane, Peter, Danny, Johnny graduated in 2010. Toby, Spinner, Jimmy, Damian, Emma, Manny and Liberty graduated in 2009. Marco, Paige, Hazel, Ellie and Alex graduated in 2008. Degrassi Community School opened in 2003. Snake and Spike graduated in 1994. Degrassi High closed down in 1993. Up until this point, we’d been logically thinking that Degrassi Junior High opened up in 1986. When now, in reality, it opened up in 1988. So it makes you think: is it really worth the risk? Altering a TIMELINE changes so many things, kinda like the potential future of real life. A so-called ‘Semi-Floating’ one is garbage and it destroys so many basic concepts. Everyone should know that imo.

The years changing in the show or w/e don’t bother me at all as long as we get to see characters who should have graduated or should be graduating soon longer. Holly J, Sav, Anya, Fiona, Declan etc. would be gone soon and we wouldn’t have any ‘leaders’ in the cast anymore.

Declan and Fiona just got here. Their characters have SO much potential. I agree with you that I really like Holly J’s character better as a bitch and I really hope that she goes back to that but just because Declan is still on the show doesn’t mean his storylines need to be with Holly J. He could date someone else or actually have problems that make him have his own storyline besides a relationship.

Another thing. The executive producer himself said that Seasons 6 and 8 took place in the first semester of the respective school year in which they aired, while Seasons 7 and 9 took place in Semester#2. Again, in both the real world, and in fiction, it JUST. DOESN’T WORK. That would mean that, despite the fact that 6/7 and 8/9 took place over 1 year each, Season 6 would have taken place from September-December 2006. Season 7 from January-June 2007, Season 8 skips a year ahead, taking place from September-December 2008, Season 9 from January-June 2009. THEY NEVER SKIPPED A SCHOOL YEAR! And yet 6/7 and 8/9 are two years apart. You can call me naive, but no matter how you put it, it just doesn’t add up. And I’m sure everyone could agree, but don’t even get me started on their SUPPOSED Grade Range through the years. Yes. Emphasis on supposed. Seasons 1 and 2 are an obvious exception, but you don’t just go from having Grades 8-9; 12 in one year, 8-11 the next, then 9-12, then 10-12, then 9 through 12, then 10-12.

I really hope they do a movie, although the movies have been a little on the cheesy side I think they’re really good for a farewell kind of thing for the people who graduate. Plus, Holly J, Fiona, Declan, Sav etc. all deserve a proper farewell. Also! Peter deserves one too! I don’t know. It’s just my opinion but I think it’s a nice gesture. If not, maybe they could try the away at college thing again and see how it works out. It was great with Paige, Marco and Ellie…not so much for Emma, Manny and Liberty but Idk I think they could make it work. Sorry, Im completely rambaling now. lol. does anyone else have and ideas or opinions?

I like the movies but they aren’t anything amazing so if they don’t do it I wouldn’t be upset but the main characters definitely deserve a proper send off. They don’t need to go to another place in the US or another Country or anything for it to be a proper send off though. Also, I personally enjoy the college life storylines so if they went there to keep Holly J, Declan etc. I wouldn’t mind.

I love the fact that they had a Boiling Point, but in my opinion, it wasn’t all that big of a boiling point. There wasn’t a constant build up, it sorta just happened. Oh well. Can’t wait for fall; wish they would just have Declan in a couple of episodes; he makes the plot interesting. Plus, the promo for fall looks great, but I said the same thing about BP, and look where it got me

I wish people would just get over the whole “dates & years” junk. That’s not even important. At least not as important as Degrassi’s “Introduce a character this season and have them graduate the next” problem.
As long as characters are able to stick around longer, then I could care less rather this takes place in 2010 or 2035.
PS. Or maybe they should just stop referencing years/dates altogether, that way people can shut up about it. :/

@hotmess, I don’t think anyone is saying that we want characters to stay on the show for fifteen seasons, but there are a TON of characters that have been around for a long time, yet are JUST now being developed.
Anya, after FOUR seasons, is finally growing and coming into her own as a person. The same with Sav and several others. Then there are the characters that have been around and have went NO WHERE! Hello, Leia anyone?
Leia had one episode centered around her in Season 8, she was pretty much non-existent in S9, and she pops up randomly in S10 and disappears. Possibly forever since the actress who plays her is heading off to college.
So I agree with not having everyone stay on forever, but everyone should be able to stay until they’ve reached their full potential as a character and that isn’t strictly determined by the number of seasons they’ve been around.

I also hope the first 24/20 episodes of season 11 will be HEAVILY centered around the seniors/graduation. I felt the seniors in Season 9 took a back seat to everyone else and their graduation in the movie was more like a rushed afterthought. So I would hope Holly J’s class will be sent out with a bang.

No that I really care about anyone of them except Jane and a little bit of Peter but their graduation was 1 min long and the movie wasn’t even about them haha. Yea Johnny was a good second hand or background character because he was kind of original since he was like a dirt bag and most of the characters now are just normal but I do miss Jane. Her storyline for the most part were original and great. She was ‘molested’? by her father, beat up by the football team, was in a longish relationship, then cheated on her boyfriend, was in a band, pretty good singer, she went from being punk and not caring about class to being the valedictorian, and more I don’t need to list everything lol but I miss her!

Don’t you remember how he lied about her being the only girl he’s had sex with and she finds out that he has had sex with other girls and had warts on his ‘junk’ so she had to be tested? After that he said he still liked her but she didn’t want to get back with him. So they were over. That doesn’t really sound dropped to me haha.

Even though they had broken up, I didn’t think that would be the last we saw of them. I was strongly convinced that there would be more to Alli & Johnny’s story. Not to mention they’re probably in my top favorite couples. So that’s probably why it feels “dropped” and incomplete to me.

I have a little idea. I think this is what they should do if they make a new degrassi movie.
Degrassi takes it to london: Degrassi takes it to london is set to air 1 moth once degrassi season 10 ends. In degrassi takes it to london Holly J is doing great for herself. She has graduated degrassi with boyfriend Sav and best friends Fiona and Anya. They plan a trip to london along with Peter,Chantay and Riley. While in london they happen to run into Declan who doesnt know about Holly J and Sav’s relationship and thinks they are still just on break. However he is shocked and angry to discover Holly J is now dating Sav and Holly J must finally choose between Sav and Declan. Meanwhile back at Canada Clare,Alli and Jenna are busy gossiping about guys and stuff at Clare’s jhouse and Jenna suddenly goes into labor. In an intense situation Clare is forced to take control and drive Jenna to the hospital. Clare awkwardly calls KC to inform him that he is about to become a father but he hangs up the phone after refusing once again to be part of the babies life. KC must choose between living a simple and normal life or helping Jenna and becoming a teen parent. Also while in london Peter and Riley start talking again and Riley once again kisses Riley…Only this time Riley isnt turned down. Who thinks this would be a good idea? Who thinks it would be crap?

Ehh, sorry haha but I don’t like the idea lol here’s why: I know the movies are suppose to be specials but how many times are these teenagers going to leave this town and go across the world by themselves without parents I know people do all the time but it just seams a little un reasonable to go across the world a third time. Especially now that Holly J’s family doesn’t have any money, Anya’s mom is sick and Sav’s parents are strict unless this changes within the season. Also them going away with Peter, Chantay and Riley is really random and they just ‘happen’ to run into Declan I mean what are the odds of that. Declan is still in season 10 and from the promo I’m sure he comes in contact with Holly J by then. Beside the fact that he see’s her way before that he’s not gonna go like a year without any contact and then assume they are still on break. Also since she has been dating Sav for that long why would she have to choose with keeping Sav and going back to Declan after all these months. Next, Jenna would have had the baby wayy before the movie would air and all they would have to do is call 911, why would Clare drive? haha. Peter who’s probably not even on the show anymore and if he still is would be very random to go away with them has been with so many girls before (which didn’t ever end good) but it would still be weird for him to just turn gay after like 5 seasons, which by the way he acts wouldnt be surprising. But still way too random, especially since Riley has Zane.

It wouldnt be a year long wait at all and if Jenna DOES have the baby this soon it would be really stupid. I forgot about Riley and Zane (mostly because every plot with them has been a total bore) But i think Peter could turn gay. Hell he hasnt dated THAT many girls plus some people get married and then come out. I really agree about the teens leaving the country without parental suppervision thing though. And yeah Anya’s Mom is sick and Holly J is broke but i think Sav might be off the hook by then. And i would love if what i said about Clare driving Jenna to the emergency room came true. Yea but season 10 itself takes place over most of a school year. Jenna was already 5 months pregnant when they showed that episode. Then there was 6 episodes after that that probably took place over a period of time and now their on a two week break from school so she has to be even further along on her pregnancy. Peter isn’t even a main character anymore, he’s suppose to be written off and I agree that his character does come across gay but he has dated Emma, Darcy, Mia, Victoria and he was interested in Manny. Sav would be off the hook but his parents wouldn’t be too happy with him leaving the country, although he did go away to film the ‘movie’ so maybe. Hahah underage driving would kinda be cool but Clare being smart the first thing she would do would be call 911 it’s quicker and dafter.

Not to be mean, but the moment I read “Degrassi Takes It To London”, I stopped reading. The whole “Degrassi Goes/Takes…[Insert whatever city/country of your liking here” is getting old. I rolled my eyes when “Manhattan” was first announced and I really don’t want another.

A few small observations-
Anyone else like how interactive the background characters are? Like how that girl gave Dave the “Loser” sign? Or when Riley’s teammate asked if he was gay and started cracking jokes when Riley admitted it?
I really, REALLY, like that. It makes things more realistic when background characters chime in once in a while instead of just being silent robots.
Another thing I enjoyed was the whole Anya/Riley subplot(I think it was My Body Is A Cage, but I’m not entirely sure). Did their plot have some huge conflict? Nope. Just two friends bonding and talking. I enjoyed that.

If they tweak the intro to the show, I wonder if they will have the students in uniform. Also, I think it’s about time they cut Peter from the credits. First of all, he’s hardly been on the show. Second, if he does not go to Degrassi, he has no business being on school grounds filming kids with his video camera. I guess he’s channeling his old buddy, Adams.

i definately hear Fiona’s voice when saying “im leaving degrassi”. she has a certain accent & you can tell its her by the way she says “degrassi” .. i also think the words are taken out of context in the promo [since they love exaggerating to the extreme (see the “breakaway” episode promo when fionas on the roof, you’ll see exactly what im talking about)].. if you listen closely, she puts emphasis on the words “leaving” so it sounds like shes arguing with someone when i put it together in my head- kinda like “im *leaving* degrassi………….. & theres nothing you can do about it!” lol, & then i suppose someone says “no you cant… blahblahblah” something along the lines of that :P

I wish they did a new intro but tweaking it doesn’t mean re-filming everyone :(. It would be cool though. I think they should change the theme a little bit and take out everyone whos not on anymore like Leia and Peter and put in everyone who’s new. Unfortunately ‘Owen’ isn’t in the second half of the season. It’s too bad to because I really enjoyed his character and the acting. I don’t know what the point of dropping him was or what goes through their minds with that decision haha. Also, even though they are almost done filming and they are still wearing uniforms I can’t see it lasting forever. It seems like it takes away soo much from their character.
Next for the video. To me it sounds 100% just like Alli. I don’t know how everyone else is thinking it’s other people because in my ears it sounds sooo much like Alli that its hard to believe people can’t hear that haha. Also for the fact that Melinda Shankar who plays Alli left the show for a while during the filming session and is just returning now I don’t understand how it cant be her. … Fiona already left Degrassi at the end of last season and came back after being abused so for her to leave Degrassi again after all that would be pointless.

Now the reviews Boycott The Caf does are very accurate and honest. They don’t give everything good grades just bc they like Degrassi becasue they are pretty much their to make fun of it. But they rate it sense by scene and even mention things that don’t make sense. And like I said the reviews are even funny. Yes they know the name of the new cast but when they write ‘mini connor’ for Dave, ‘Harry Potter/White Conor’ for Wesley and ‘random/new kid or w/e’ for people like Fitz and Drew he’s just joking because of the way they always bring in these new characters.

The good thing about them now is that since Degrassi has been going downhill they start to hate/make fun of it so when an episode or a season like S10 is really good and when they good it give reviews you know that it’s a good episode. They gave MBIAC a B+ overall. Not an A+ just because it was a great storyline or played out well. They examine everything. I like their reviews AND Kary’s reviews to see their opinions from two different sides but it doesn’t even matter beacuse our own opinions are what counts! lol

Some people including Kary and I don’t like to watch the promos so it doesn’t give anything away. But I actually did watch this promo, I don’t know if Kary did or not. Also to do a review on a 20 second clip that doesn’t give a lot away is kinda pointless. Nobody has seen any of these episodes or any descriptions for them so people saying things about Clare, Declan and Jess are untrue. It’s possible that it can happen but nobody knows anything. Jess is a new character who has been in previous episodes already and it’s possible that she does flirt with KC but we don’t know for sure. I don’t think Declan is going to rape Holly J at all. They were going out and just on break so for him to come back not knowing about Sav and to kiss Holly J’s neck or w/e is normalish haha. Also where in the video do they show Jenna getting arrested?

There are 2 promos that say the date that I have seen. One is the same Degrassi promo for the fall except at the end it says returns October 8th and a new promo for the dumb show Gigantic and it says premiers Thursday October 8th after the season premier of Degrassi. I can not see ‘Gigantic’ lasting, it looks ridiculously stupid IMO haha.

yes! camp rock 2! im only watched it to try to spot Alicia, and i was not disappointed! altho the movie itself was awful (its disney and involves the jonas brothers, what do you expect?), but i saw Alicia in two huge dance numbers and she was right up at the camera once. she got to motion for the person with lines to come out. i know i sound like a fangirl, but it just made me so happy!

So, I’m rewatching this whole season again as they show replays. it is interesting, you wathc a season once, and watching it again and again you have new questions and opinions.
1. What a Girl Wants, ok I don’t understand the end of the Dave/Alli subplot. Then again, I didn’t understand Alli in that episode AT ALL. Alli is selfish that she was number #42, yet Dave is the one who has to apologize. Dave has tried to explain that she was supposed to be number one. Alli was kind of being unreasonable making the loser list, and she twisted it so that the real “reason” was that the list was “demeaning to women”. wtf, we all know why Alli was really angry.
2. After watching Breakaway again, Anya in my opinion was being completely unreasonable. Yeah, I understand you want Sav to tell his parents about you, but it totally makes sense why at THAT moment Sav didnt: The 2 were making out on his couch and his mom came home earlier than expected! In my opinion, going through Savs head, it wasnt much that he didnt want to admit to his parents about Anya, but he was stuck in a sticky situation where they were making out and his mom came home unexpectedly. I would have acted the same way Sav did. I don’t want my parents catching me making out with my boyfriend. Do you Anya? That was kind of stupid. Maybe Anya likes her parents watching her makeout? I don’t know.
3. Why does Jenna’s hair always have that stupid braid? It pulls back her face and makes her face look really round.
4. Why is Drew the biggest pussy who has ever walked onto Degrassi? Adam has more balls than him, and technically Adam is scientifically not a boy.
5. Owen is right. Alli is a tease.
6. Why was it necessary for Sav to use his dad’s car to drive to the concert when Eli owns Morty?
7. Why do I think KC is going to receive a blow job from Bianca next season and get an STD caused by Bianca’s sluttiness with Drew?

8. Am I the only one who thought Declan had a lot of potential? Now he’s only associated with Holly J and is barely on the show. I hate when Degrassi does that,
9. I would like Bianca to have a dancing storyline or something. Like, Bianca is a rebel, but dancing keeps her sane or something. Wiat. Nevermind, too much like Step Up. I don’t want to watch Step Up on Degrassi. The point is, I want them to explore the fact that Bianca can dance well in one way or another.
10. This is post-Boiling Point related. I know that this is just speculation, but I just want to make it a point that I don’t think Adam and Fiona look good together. I know people are wanting them because they’re in such a way “alone”, but the problem is that Fiona is very high maintenance. I don’t think Adam and Fiona are gonna mesh well at all. Then again, this is all speculation based on that picture and the fact that Eli and Fiona interact in the second half. We don’t really know.
11. I know that a lot of people like Munro, but in my opinion, Shannon is by far the hottest guy right now on Degrassi. I mean, THAT SMILE! Who doesn;t love that?

First off, stop being impatient. I have a life outside of this place and don’t have time to spend every waking moment here.
Secondly, your behavior only justifies why I got rid of them; apparently people are more preoccupied with the thumbs than they are about actually discussing the show. While they were a fun supplement at first, thumbs up/down have just become the easy way out: say you agree or disagree without having to explain why. Now too many people preface their comments with “i know this is going to get thumbs down, but…” or say “why did my comment get a thumbs down?” If you have an opinion, just type it out.
But if your life is so incomplete without them, you can create your own wordpress blog and have all the thumbs up and thumbs down you want.

I’m on my phone and it won’t let me reply to a certain persons comment, but I wanna make a general comment to those talking about the timeline, ages of students in degrassi, and how they introduce new characters.
The timeline, as far as it relates to the past season, really doesn’t matter. Its like deperate house wives how they jumped years in the future…not realistic since all the housewives didn’t age n stuff. Altho degrassi jumped a couple yrs in the future but the characters’ ages and grades didn’t, it doesn’t really matter. Honestly I think its better for them to refer to ppl you and I kno like drake and justin bieber and to mention things we use and do now. The past seasons were so in their own little bubble they hardly made any references to pop culture.
Then people don’t understand degrassi went from a middle school to a community school in some random season (season 2??) because the high school burned down (or one can easily infer that ashley, jimmy, and paiges’s class of 8 graders would be leaving after just being introduced and use learning to love them so the producers needed to find a way to keep them with us). So we followed the youngest class (emma, liberty,jt, toby) til they got to high school and when the oldest class graduated and then they shifted the school back to high schoolers early (even though it was never mentoned, I inferred they built a new school to move the middle schoolers into and never really mentioned it) so that huge range of middle school thru high school was over so they didn’t feel obligated to have to cover so many different ages of students.
Now about new characters, it was cool introducing new characters as 9th graders and following them thru high school, but that’s not totally realistic. In school new students join and leave school throughout the school year and those students are in all types of grades.
If anything, degrassi is more believable NOW than it was in the past. They had to sacrifice some constancy in order to make it more of a modern-ish “now” type of show, but at least not every character is rich, drop dead “gorgeous” and wearing nothing but designer clothes like american tv shows.

even though this probably has nothing to do with what anyone is talking about..i just wanted to say that im so proud of myself..ive already finished watching ALL the epidsodes of DJH and am on my way to watching the 2 epidosde of DH!! im so gna be done my october 8th!!
on another note..im so pissed @ my dad cuz he was telling me he might forbid me to watch Degrassi cuz its becoming an obesession, please its not becoming it IS!! im not worried tho cuz there is nothing anyone or anything can do to prevent me from watching my drug!! aka degrassi

I feel your pain. When I was in high school, my dad disapproved of Degrassi since he’s pretty conservative on EVERYTHING, so I would go to great bounds to watch new episodes without him knowing. Sorry, Dad, but I really didn’t want to watch the same episodes of Full House over and over ad nauseum.

I feel like the blog has become less lively since there is very little information being handed to us regarding the second half of season ten (not at the fault of kary! lol) so idk, based off the promo and etc. what is everyone looking most toward to?
I know i’m most excited for the possible friendship/romance of Adam and Fiona!:) Oh, and I’m not sure if it’s a suicide…but i saw somewhere on much music that there might be a potential death in the second half of the season. did anyone else see that?

i’d like to point something out that i’ve been thinking about for a while: a lot of people on here have been saying that they think that Fitz is a better bully than Jay ever was, or that Fitz and Owen are better than Jay or that Jay is better than Fitz or whatever combination you can make of Jay, Fitz, Owen, and Bianca. I’d just want to say that I don’t think that’s a fair comparison. as far as I’m concerned, DTNG has had some sort of “bully” type character is every stage of its existence. in the first couple of seasons, it was spinner. (dont try to deny it; spinner WAS the bully! he did turn out rather nicely in the end, though.) then it was Jay (and sort of spinner also, until the shooting). seasons 6 and 7 were sort of lacking in the bully department (unless you count the lakehurst guys, and then johnny in season 7). in seasons 8 and 9, we had Bruce and Johnny (when johnny wasnt busy with alli, of course.). now we have fitz, owen, and bianca.
i think that each of these bullies were sort of different kinds of bullies. spinner was just an immature jerkish idiot (at that point; i completely believe that he got much better after a few seasons!). jay was a druggie/constant partying/i-dont-give-a-s***/stealing/STD-tastic jerk. he teased people, and he WAS awful to rick, but i think that the rick thing was really the only time he was relly a bully, per se. he didnt so much pick on people for fun or for power or whatever as just do whatever he wanted for himself. then there was Bruce and Johnny who i think (in bruce’s case, at least) were mostly just immature (pretty close to how spinner originally was) and just had fun with teasing and fighting people. and now there’s fitz, owen, and bianca. i think that bianca is completely and utterly just the female carbon copy of jay. (and im not saying thats a bad thing!) i can imagine her doing anything jay ever did, and vise versa. ergo, she is also not so much a bully. she’s a druggie, slutty, all-for-herself kind of girl, but she doesnt just go looking for people to pick on. and i think that owen is just a homophobe. thats his purpose on the show is to be a homophobe. we’ve never seen him bully anyone for any reason other than their sexuality (riley and zane for being gay, adam for being trans.) and then there’s fitz. call me crazy, but i dont really think of fitz as a bully, either. the only person he’s ever bullied is eli (and adam, by association). fitz seems to be mostly physical, though, what with the knife, slamming adam against lockers, and whatnot. and then also taking clare to the dance to piss eli off. but i dont think that fitz bullies people just for the fun of it. he was a jerk to eli, i think, by hurting morty, and i dont blame eli for starting a rivalry (i would have done the same thing, thats just the type of person i am), but i think that hurting morty was just fitz being a jerk. he didnt intend to start anything; he was just annoyed at eli in that moment. but the whole thing with the rivalry i didnt think was at all similar to jay. i dont think that jay would have handled the situation the same way (altho i guess thats why people think that fitz is a better bully), and more importantly, i dont think that jay’s character would every have been put in that type of situation by the writers. i dont think that was his purpose on the show as a person. my point is that i dont think its fair to compare fitz and jay because they were very different kinds of bullies.
im truly sorry for that ridiculously long post, by the way. but i’ve been thinking about his for a while and i wanted to finally say it. actually, im not even sure that i got my point across very well, but oh well. please respond and give your take!

Fitz, Owen and Bianca are a really strong bully trio but that is going to end now with Fitz becoming good in the 2nd half and maybe Bianca getting actual storylines of her own and Owen is still Owen lol
But yeah bruce and johnny got nothing on Fitz Lmfao(even though johnny is kind of like fitz)

No, it’s definitely not Jess, and here’s why. If you look at the Facebook pictures closely, you can tell it’s a different girl. Second, Sam said he couldn’t reveal the character’s name on Twitter. Because the character of Jess is already known (she’s already been in an episode and Stefan Brogren talked about her on Twitter), it has to be a different character altogether.

Im like 1,000% sure that is Jess, it looks exactly like her and why would they even cast two people who look the same unless they want twins. In that case Thomas Chambers and Munro woulda been better lol.
But anyways Jess isn’t known to everyone just the people who follow Stefan brogren and degrassi blog people (which is sorta the same people lol) and I doubt Sam Earle wants to put out anymore spoilers since Stefan put so many.

@Jen is correct. Unfortunately that is not Jess. So for the 2nd half of season 10 we already have two new girls, yay (sarcasm). I like new characters but we were just introduced to Declan, Fiona, Jenna and Dave last season and now we have Bianca, Drew, Adam, Eli, Ms. Oh, all the new parents, Zane, Wesley and Fitz are a lot already for one season. I know Zane, Wesley and Fitz were in last season but they were each in one episode.

I find it extremely suspicious that Sam Earle did not reveal the name of the new character on Twitter. Okay, maybe he can’t legally disclose her name, but if that’s not the reason, there can only be one other reason why. What if her name is in and of itself a revealing plotline? Not following? Well, if her name was “Julia” then this would be reason enough for Sam to abstain from revealing her name….I got a weird feeling when Clare kept talking about Eli’s dead girlfriend in All Falls Down, Part 1. What if she’s not really dead?

Well looking at some of the cast tweets, Munro and Aislinn didn’t seem to be on set today(but then again maybe they where). Not that it means anything, but If it was Julia then it would be a plot revolving around Eli. This character to me seems to be a love interest for KC or something of that sort. But then its true what you guys are saying, we shouldn’t get ahead of ourselves XD
