Drew gives Alli the "Death Stare."
Alli & Drew
Both Alli and Drew were annoying in Part 1. I didn’t like how we didn’t truly know why Drew was acting sketchy, until Part 2 (when they told us literally within the first minute of the episode starting. Alli and Drew are two characters that I could care less about seeing on screen, but I do have to admit their acting improved in Part 2.
With that said, I don’t buy into them as a couple. I just see them as two superficial people who will eventually get bored of each other, and I don’t feel like there’s any spark between the two. I can’t rave about their plot, but it’s not terrible either…just ok.

Sav & Holly J
I’m well aware (and they let us know this as well) that Sav and Holly J are NOT a longterm thing. For Holly J, Sav is just a rebound. For Sav, Holly J is just someone to “keep him busy.” Still, I love every moment of them together because of the awesome chemistry they have with each other.
Holly J’s character boasts an instant rebound from her OOC ways. I attribute this kind of plot being successful to the growing maturity of the characters and actors, especially Sav (Ray Ablack). Holly J (Charlotte Arnold) has been good for a while now. But I just imagine this plot being terrible and unconvincing if it had happened at any point before this season.

Even Connor has a girlfriend. My life has hit a new low.
Connor’s Online Girlfriend
There really isn’t much to say about this plot that I haven’t already said in my reviews of Part1 and Part 2. It’s a storyline that’s been a long time coming, and it’s a good fit for Connor. He and Wesley have surprised me with their presence of the last several episodes. While this is all just a setup, it leaves me excited to find out what happens when Connor and LoveQueen16 actually meet (and the aftermath that follows).

Adam
The fact this plot is so good is shocking, but at the same time not really. I think it’s just surprising to watch a storyline that has literally been OVERhyped for as long as it has, and it actually live up to that hype. Also, because it’s a groundbreaking storyline, I can’t see actress Jordan Todosey and director Phil Earnshaw not winning an award because of this episode.

Even watching this scene on mute makes me want to cry.
Anya
Anya showed (once again) that she can nail the emotional act. Though I understand the meaning of the scene with the volcano, for me it wasn’t as emotional as her delivering the news of her mom’s cancer to Holly J. This (just like Connor’s online gf plot) is a storyline that should’ve been touched on already, and I’m glad they’re doing it. I also hope this isn’t a storyline that just trails off. The whole “they caught it early” thing leaves wiggle room for a happy (or not so happy ending), but I do want to see more of Anya having to deal with this situation, as well as balance life at school.

I don’t really like Dave this season. He’s gone from JT/Toby comedy to behaving like Derek and Danny, two characters who tried WAY too hard to be funny.
I really don’t have an opinion of Ms. Oh yet. Over the years the teachers at Degrassi have gone from being connected to the students on a much deeper level (Mr. Simpson and Ms. Hatilakos were best at this), to basically playing a straight-up teacher role. It’s hard to care about them when nearly every scene is them strictly going over the day’s lesson plans.

For the record…….I am enforcing a “No Spoilers” ban on myself for these final two weeks of The Boiling Point. That includes promos as well. These last 8 episodes are supposed to be super intense…you guys can talk spoilers all you want, but I don’t want to know any more than I have to…I wanna be completely surprised!

I agree with your reviews. “My Body is a Cage” is definately the best of the season so far, and Adam is a really complex character and I’m curious to see how he’ll develop over the following seasons. I guess i’m one of the few who isnt feeling Holly J and Sav. Despite their undeniable chemistry, I feel like the writers could have at least had them pair up some time in the future, I mean, she just “broke up” with Declan in the previous episode. Oh well… Dave is Dave, nothing much to say about him, and I hope I’m not the only one who wants Leia to die in some bizarre Final Destination-esque death.
Spoilers are cool with me. I’m still gonna watch it on tv anyway…

I’m not the biggest fan of Holly J and Sav as a couple either but they do have a great deal of chemistry and the whole point of them getting together right after Holly J’s breakup is that shes on the rebound. Also, I agree with Kary. Personally I’m against spoilers. (You guy’s can continue to post promos and links and stuff, I’m not telling you to stop at all, it’s just for me) I’d rather be shocked and surprised when I watch it on TV. Promos usually (not as much from TeenNick, but even TeenNicks promo’s do) give a lot away and when you see those scenes from the promos in the episodes, it takes away from the episode. That’s just my opinion.

I agree completely. It makes me mad that DTNG has such little popularity in the US. I mean, yes tons of people watch it, but do you ever hear about it in those teen magazines? Not really.
But, I do think that having Drake and Shenae Grimes become famous here in the US did help somewhat.
But the fact that Pretty Little Liars was trended on twitter for almost a week, when it basically just started, and Degrassi, a show that is celebrating it’s thirtieth year, is barely talked about, just makes me mad. And yes people, I know it’s just a show, but still. Lol. And I think the reason the PLL thing makes me the most mad is because it’s nothing like the books, and it’s been on for only a short while, and it’s one of the top most watched shows.

Well if it makes u feel any better, Degrassi trended for like a week in MOST parts of the USA(that twitter shows) and in Canada. We just need the rest of the USA to trend it and it could be there for a while maybe. ALSO the Pretty Little Liars thing does make me mad too they change everything and people like it and don’t even object against it like how they object to tiny changes in like Harry Potter or Twilight(just a example). I was watching PLL and I just couldn’t watch because its extremely unrealistic/unrealate-able and the acting isn’t even all that good (or even on Degrassi level for Season 10).

I totally agree. But at least MTV airs recent Degrassi episodes at 10 am, so that means it’s a start.
And just for the record, Glee and PLL are horrible shows. I gave them a chance, but they are so hard to watch. I have been watching Degrassi for 6 years and there is nothing like it. :)

That’s a terrific video. It says a lot about the quality of the show and characters when people are making so many tribute videos to BRAND NEW characters, and using footage from episodes within days of their original airing.

Its cool how Alli and Jenna are there for each other. When Alli had the HPV scare, Jenna was there. And now Jenna is (I really don’t believe she is) pregnant, Alli is there. I just hope Alli and Clare aren’t in separate scenes for the rest of the season until they have their big emotional scene in the next half of season 10, because ever since Eli came into he picture, there seemed to be no more Alli and Clare interactions. And before any of you say “Oh you lie! They’re not gonna be emotional, blah blah blah” Go on Youtube, find melindashankarTV, watch her video with Aislinn, then come back and talk.

I have my doubts that the big emotional scene between Alli and Clare is going to do with Eli, now…it just doesn’t make sense to me to have Alli comforting Clare about something Eli-related when Alli has never even gotten to know the guy.
We know that Melinda’s taking a small break from the show, and I’ve a feeling that her break will be written into the series as a plot where Alli’s parents, appalled at how she’s been dressing at school, dating, and doing the magic monkey dance in the boiler room, send her to live with family in India for some time, or something like that. Something to mellow her out and bring her back to earth.
I can see Alli and Clare having an emotional scene where, prior to Alli’s departure, she has this sort of epiphany where she realizes how shallow and silly she’s been acting. Seeing as how Clare is more of an understanding, pep talk type person than Jenna (who seems to be best at giving advice on boys and social life), I can envision Alli going to her. It’d also be a nice way to tie up some loose ends between the two of them, as their friendship was just kinda left hanging.

Hate to reply to my own post…but if Melinda’s taking a break from the show, she and Drew will inevitably need to put things on hold, as well. If Jenna and KC break up, which promos and episode descriptions have been suggesting, it’d be interesting if, in Alli’s absence, Jenna and Drew hooked up. That’d be so Brenda/Dylan/Kelly.

OMG i just seen the video and wow they even explained that it isnt a Clare helping Alli or Alli helping Clare like normal scenes between them, Its a emotional scene shared between both, so i have ABSOLUTELY NO clue what that could be. Seeing that the video was filmed a month ago it has to take place early in the second half, like episode 31 or 32 seeing that now they are up to like 37 38 and were at 33 34 like 2-3 weeks back

The episode of Adam was the best we have seen in a long time better yet for me it is on the top of all the episodes because of the emotional and topics of the ep.
Now I can’t wait to see what happens to Clare & Eli. I just want to know what Eli’s secret is. This two characters remind me so much of when I was in high school!!

I wasn’t that fond of YDKMN. I didn’t feel like Drew and Alli’s story was main plot worthy.
But MBIAC was by far one of the greatest episodes in Degrassi history. Not just because it was about a transgendered character, because the story was told beautifully, and the direction and acting made me feel Adam’s pain.
We haven’t had an episode even close to that in AGES.
I’ve already rewatched MBIAC a couple of times. I think I’m going to again here soon.

i thought that alluded to kc/bianca, but that might not necessarily take place during the boiling point, who knows.
hopefully it just means she makes drew physically disappear by stealing him away to the boiler room. maybe he plays along to figure out the plan. the episode descriptions have so far NOT been accurate (for instance, one said that in the holly j/sav episodes, one gets mad at the other for taking credit for an event, and that never happens, and then there’s gracie vs. chelsea). so maybe drew’s loyalty to alli isn’t truly tested. we can’t be sure that’s what really happens.

do you mean total or straight without breaking up? because ash and jimmy amounted to almost 4 seasons together, but they were broken up for 3 seasons in between. i think the longest without interruption was spinner/jane. seasons 7-9.

I believe the longest WITHOUT a breakup in between is paige and spinner, from the end of season 2 – beginning of season 4. Spinner and Jane got together in the beginning of season 7 but broke up in lost in love mid season 8 then got back together,and broke up at the end of season 9. So overall Spin/Jane i think was the longest, but spin/paige went the longest w/o a breakup in Between. i know there are other long lasting couples too but I’m too lazy to type em out.

I agree completely.
I said this before in reply to someone else, but I think that there had been something go completely wrong when he was a child.
He’s pretty obsessed with death, and he’s always wearing those headphones. There had to be something at home that made him just want to block himself from everyone else and the world. That’s why I’m pretty excited for his storyline.

The funny thing is that they did for spinner and Jay by expelling them but then anyone else after that point got away with whatever they did like more recently Owen and Fitz bullying Adam, They get fake suspended and come back to bully more people this week and next week(not saying who for spoiler reasons).

I hate/like her sometimes because she comes off like a rich annoying chick when shes like a supporting or side character in people’s plots then in her plots shes more of a strong actress and what not. Its like the two Dave’s thing Kary was talking about. Thats what they are doing with more characters that messes them up like Alli and Jenna.
Speaking about Jenna, her acting was more strong when she was being a bitch in Season 9, now in Season 10 her acting is lacking. She better do better with the pregnancy because I liked her acting in Season 9 and now its just disappointing.

Okay I couldn’t have agreed with this review more… especially with the Leia reference you made:) Leia is just turning out to be a bad friend and a worthless character on the show Degrassi.
I love Peter but they need to give me a real storyline before they get rid of him. I have a feeling since Peter and Leia are still in the opening credits that they will have a real storyline before they are done with Degrassi.
I am so excited for the Jenna plot next week and like I said before… I hope KC realizes that he made a huge mistake being with Jenna and FINALLY breaks up with her. I have been deadset against that realationship since it started.
I also have to say that I LOVE Holly J. and Sav as a couple. I think they have amazing chemistry that Holly J. and Declan didn’t exactly have. So, even though I’m sure it won’t last for long, I hope we get to see them for a while before they go their seperate ways.
Karey, I totally agree with you about the Anya plot. I was getting teary eyed during the volcano part but especially when she admitted it to Holly J. :(
Anyway, I cannot wait for next week… I wanna see every episode now:)

Judy Jaio who plays Leia said the only episode she was in so far was MBIAC and they are almost done filming the whole season idk about Peter though. A bunch of people keep posting that on here but people keep ignoring it and commenting about thinking that Leia is in future episodes. Also, I’m not a KC/Jenna fan but if the baby is KC’s how did he make a huge mistake with being with her. It’s just as much his fault as hers. Actually depending on if he used a condom or not it could be more of his fault.

I want Riley to be comfortable in his own skin and be proud to be with Zane, I know that’s hard in HS, and I think that it might be better for Riley and Zane if they just have a private relationship til grad. We do know they got married when the kids were small, and in MBIAC 2 Adam says ‘You got her to come’ to Drew, not the Dad.
I think since she already had a son, she had more trouble ‘losing’ her only daughter. and since she didn’t accept him, it prob made Adam see her as more STEPmom than mom.

well, it seems that adam and drew grew up together, so it probably isn’t a big deal whose parent is whose because they’re all pretty close.
but i’m still inclined to think the mother is adam’s mom just because of the way she is so upset that she can’t see her “daughter.” i just got that impression from the way she portrayed it. either way, she seems to care about both drew and adam equally (though it’s hard for her to accept that adam is trans).

I think it’s safe to say Jenna is pregnant. I’m going to assume she’s on birth control and that’s how she “doesn’t know her own secret.” You can get pregnant even when on the Pill but some cause irregular periods so it can be hard to tell if you’re pregnant until you start noticing other signs of pregnancy.
Also, I hope we finally find out why Eli drives the hearse. I know it’s supposed to be part of his goth-style but there has to be some type of reasoning behind it.
Last two weeks look intense. Can’t wait. :D

Oh and on another note, people keep wondering why Ali isn’t hanging out with Clare anymore, and the answer is Eli and Jenna. Ali needed a new friend for lunch, so that’s how Jenna came in to the picture. But then again, why couldn’t Ali hang with both Ali, AND Jenna? Well Eli, Adam, And Clare formed their own non-Conformist group, and Ali is a COMPLETE AND TOTAL CONFORMIST! So if Clare is not with her group, Ali can sort of sneak a word in with Clare, but other than that, Ali is not welcomed.

I think after Clare told up Jenna, it was kind of the “moment of truth” that Clare was officially over KC. That, and Alli knows that Clare likes Eli.
I think that Jenna is a good friend for Alli in a superficial way. Like, we all have friends for different reasons. Clare will always be the best friend where Alli could have not talked to her for months, but Clare will always be there for her. Jenna is like the friend associated with popularity, the friend Alli thinks she needs in a superficial manner.

okay now that i seen the episode ,
Jenna’s plot wasnt exactly boring but it was a lil all over because she knows that she could be pregnant and still tries out for the show and you know, she doesnt get in barfs then gets in and they go eat hummus.
Like just how i badly explained it is how the episode feels. I liked how the ending had her waiting because thats how a lot of pregnant people wait and think its forever but its only 3 min.
CONNERS plot was good-ish its basically a setup for tomorrow.
RILEY/ANYA plot, sorta made me think they were going to kiss, then the doctor popped up and now they are in a contest of sorts to see if hes gay or not. Thats a interesting plot, i can’t wait until tomorrow to see what happens.
Other Notes: I said it wayy b4 and I will say it again, JENNAS PLOT WOULD HAVE BEEN 1000 times better if it were ANYONE but her. The fact that she has been quite the boyfriend stealing bitch for a while and then the whole boob job plot and we are expected to make a 360 change and like her and feel bad for her. It just doesn’t work, that’s what she gets. Anyways Tomorrows episode seems like we will get some real acting out of Jessica Tyler FINALLY.

OMG, I love the Connor part. The girl was so creepy! Also the Riley and Jenna plots were okay. But wow I’m speechless with the Connor part :)

Her acting is kinda good, kinda. But I don’t feel as connected to her as even a simple part like Conner where you no he’s so innocent and doesn’t know and I even think Riley and Anya are doing a great job, I love there gay | straight Docter fight, it was so cute . And it’s weird Ali is being the sense of reason. Also the Conner plot kinda is like the Emma plot except his friends saved him kinda early. But the telling the teacher thing and all is like it. And the exorcism commercail scares the he’ll outta me.

I didn’t find the Jenna plot that great. But I think it’s mainly because the whole audition thing dragged on. Didn’t care much for it, but I’m pretty sure part 2 is gonna be better. KC and Jenna still have no chemistry. I kind of had hope when KC picked up Jenna when she passed because that was really cute, but their awkward kiss just ruined everything. Like I said, part 2 should be better because then it’s the aftermath.
I thought the Connor plot was really good. I was cringing the whole time watching it, because I just kept thinking, OH GOD CONNOR GET AWAY FROM HER GET AWAY FROM HER. But I think part 2 is gonna be a lot better.
Anya + Riley = One of the cutest friendships on Degrassi. The gaydar thing cracked me up with the doctor.

Jenna..She keeps getting everything handed to her and she does nothing with it. First of all, She could of done such a better job with the diet pills plot. Tonight’s episode was just sad. Hopefully she will improve her acting in tomorrow’s episode. I like how Riley and Anya are friend’s. I also think Connor’s plot was pretty good. i honestly cracked up when pregnancy was brought up before the opening credits. i expected to be a “surprise” to the viewers (quotes because it would be obvious, but i didnt expect jenna to be suspicious until a bit later). the writers basically told us from the get-go how the episode was going to end. and i really didnt care about the audition part of the plot, but i guess it will cause drama later because you cant be the “next teen star!” if you’re pregnant.
the riley/anya friendship made me smile. a lot. and i was glad they didnt drop the cancer plot.
i liked the connor plot simply because we finally got to see snake in a parental role again. since emma graduated, snake has mostly just been a teacehr (except for those few terrible episodes when emma came home). i was glad to see snake acting like a guardian, worried about his own kid, again. and the situation must remind him of emma way back when. (i think he was involved in “mother and child reunion”. he was, wasnt he?)

I agree. Even as principal he has been a really easy going and laid back. I hope the lockdown makes him more strict. Every scene he has had being a principal he has given in to the other person. KC/KC’s mom, Drew and Drew’s mom, etc. I still love Snake but come on man your principal now, not a buddy buddy teacher!

I agree I actually liked this episode…due to it being so realistic, and I thoroughly enjoyed all plots, granted people are still saying her acting sucks…and u have to remember she’s still young look at the earlier seasons…they sucked also but practice makes perfect and by their 2nd or 3rd season they actually become very good (and I don’t count season 9 for her because she only really did 3 things, Taking KC, being a sneaky bitch, and singing “Shine” in the process! LMFAO)

The pregnancy storyline was alright when Manny had to face abortion, Liberty had to face adoption and Mia had to face being a teen mom but now I feel like it’s just played out for Degrassi. Especially since it is Jenna, a character I really care less for. The only way I will care for this storyline is if Jenna dies giving birth (which does happen a lot during birth) it would leave KC with the baby, adding in a death that we all have been waiting for, and make Degrassi intense again.

I don’t get why people think pregnancy is over done in degrassi. I’m actually surprise its not done more, I mean we have a bunch of teenagers being sexually active and no one gets pregnant? Mind you, maybe a typical storyline where a girl is pregnant may not seem very interesting and its happening to a character that isn’t very liked, but we havent had someone be pregnant since Liberty, (to me Mia doesn’t count, since we never saw her pregnant) and for the most part Liberty had a good support system. Even JT was supportive of Liberty (he failed, but at least he tried his best) The new twist here is that KC may not be supportive of her at all, and Jenna will find herself alone and will be known through high school as the “pregnant girl”. Although we assume that this is what Mia might of gone through, we didnt see that.

Real talk Kaylynn, I gave ya a thumbs up. I knew a couple of girls that had babies at 16-17; I wasn’t at the hospital when they gave birth, but I’m sure delivery was painful nonetheless.
Watching some clips of Teen Mom, I’m surprised that Farrah et al didn’t opt for a C-Section. I would think that a C-Section would be less painful versus the usual way of delivery and also it would stave off massive bleeding. It would be interesting if Jenna’s baby would be born via C-Section, but who knows? The pregnancy storyline isn’t played out because you get to see how different girls deal with being a mom.

That exorcist ad is horrifying. Why do they have it on anyway???? It is scary. I still think Jenna sucks acting wise, but as a character, she is oddly believable. Don’t we all know someone like Jenna? I know 3 people like her. Riley and Anya were darling. Poor Connor. He is so lonely. Where is Kendra Mason when you need her? Season 10 is really awesome. I can’t get enoough of it.

Today’s episode was like “meh” to me. Jenna’s story wasnt tht interesting, Riley’s was okay but I know that it will be better on Still Fighting It, and Conner’s was the best out of all. It made me really worry what his “internet friend” will do to him and it made Dave look like a good guy, luckily. it sucks that everyone wants to complain about Jenna’s acting. She’s not a bad actress in my opinion, I think you guys may be taking it a little too harsh. She just does what the director tells her. You have to remember she is young and its a scripted show, you’re not going to get the full emotional effect with her like you would get with Anya. Anya is a character built for emotion and overacting, Jenna is more laid back and doesnt require alot of experience to portray. Give the girl break

Okay I totally adore Reily and Anya!!! That bit about the gaydar had me laughing! I like that he feels comfortable enough around Anya to make those kinds of jokes because the rest of the time he doesn’t really have a sense of humour about his sexuality.
I thought they did a great job setting up Connor’s plot for tomorrow I am really glad they gave a strong plot to him. He seems like her can handle it and Dave and Wesly are really good friends its cool to seem them be there for him like that.
I find Jessica Tyler’s acting was better in this episode but I still find her totally unrelatable! They give her these fantastic and etremely emotional demanding plots and she doesnt really do anything with them. There are so many people who can relate to her plots but it doesnt come across because she can’t act. I think the writes need to rethink about who they give certain plots to because they have gold but its not working.

I guess i’m the only one who enjoyed all the aspects of this episode. I like Jenna’s pregnancy storyline and ya she’s not that good of an actor but she doesn’t completely suck either :p And i don’t think pregnancy is over used, everyone handles it differently so it’d be cool to see her keep it and raise it with K.C . & its really gonna suck for K.C considering how his life was getting perfect now its all gonna suck againn, ima love seeing that! :o i also ADORE Anya’s and Rileys friendship. I just finished part 2. Jenna’s plot was more enjoyable for me than in part 1. and I like the last scene with her brother. And I have no sympathy for KC. I actually find his behavior very selfish.
I liked Connor’s plot (it’s about time he got 1!)
I do really enjoy the Anya/Riley friendship, but their plot seemed a little unnecessary in part 2. I AM, however, excited for Riley’s plot on wed./thur.
Also, for some reason I got the feeling that Dr. Chris might try to make a move on Anya now that he thinks she’s older…am I the only one who thought this?

Connor meets his online girlfriend. Dave and Wesley feel like she is too old for him. They tell Principal Simpson. He then takes away Connor’s computer and causes him to get upset. He gets into a car with the older woman and she starts touching his leg, which makes him uncomfortable so he gets out of the car. Jenna thinks she’s pregnant. Alli stands by her side and they find out that she is pregnant. KC wants Jenna to get an abortion, but she’s too long into her pregnancy to get one. He decides that this pregnancy will complicate his already kinda unstable but getting better lifestyle so he tells Jenna that he wants nothing to do with the baby. Anya and Riley visit the hospital to check up on Anya’s mom. While they are there they have their eyes on her doctor. Riley thinks that he is gay and Anya thinks that he is straight, so they asks him numerous questions until they find out that he is indeed straight. Anya lies about being a college student in her second year. I think that the doctor will hit on her or be intrigued by her based on the new promo pic of Anya kissing someone. Riley still likes Zane and has tried to get him back, but Zane won’t budge. Maybe in episodes 1019 and 1020 things will be different for Riley and Zane.
I think that KC is acting like an ass (excuse my language) for abandoning Jenna at her time of need. It’s very scary for her to be pregnant at such a young age, good thing she has a reliable older brother to help her. I think that Connor and the older woman will be seeing each other again soon in a later episode. Since Connor has a photographic memory they have the license plate of her car and they can press charges against her. Since Dave and Wesley got so concerned about Connor it proves that they are worthy friends and that they don’t want anything bad to happen to Connor.

I can understand KC’s frustration. Your life is good; you have your mom back, you are a star on the football team, and you have a cheerleader girlfriend. KC made the decision to have sex, and because he wasn’t doing it with protection, this is what happens. You can understand his frustration because its as if you had an anchor tied to your ankle. He has to now step up and take responsibility.
I could’ve sworn Jenna said that when they did it that one time at the heat of the moment, she was off the pill?!
Her life is going well also: cheerleader, football star boyfriend, Teen Star contestant… Its late and thus risky, but she should strongly think about both options before making her decision.

I hear you, but the doctor said it was too risky to go along with an abortion because she was too fall along with the pregnancy. She could have major complications. She may loose the baby or she could die during the process. They should have had protected sex all the time. Condoms and birth control. I know it’s hard to remember, but that’s what happens when you slip up. I really hope KC eventually mans up and takes responsibility because he should have to grow up just like Jenna is going to have to.
A lot of people just blame the girl for getting pregnant when in actuality it takes two.
I can’t wait to watch the next few episodes. Eli and Clare are my favorite characters this season.

This teen pregnancy crap is completely overdone at this point. It’s pretty obvious that this plot was meant to shine some light on the successful “16 & Pregnant/Teen Mom” shows on MTV. This makes the 4th pregnant teen on the show. At the same school. So completely unnecessary. Not to mention, completely boring at this point. I was way more interested in Riley’s crush and Connor’s creep. Jenna and KC are such boring, impersonal characters that keep getting “intense” plots/storylines that they can’t possibly live up to, or create any sense of sympathy from anyone.

Wow, pregnancy is actually underused on this show, not overused. And I can’t imagine how Degrassi would try & come up with a storyline based off of something on MTV, which premiered last year. Degrassi had already done 4 pregnancy story lines (maybe more, can’t remember every one) before that show premiered (currently now 6) And every single pregnancy storyline has been different. How did Degrassi copy something they did many times before the other show premiered?
And I saw the Part 2 episode & felt that Jenna for once finally felt sympathetic. It’s nice to actually see who really cares about her on the show. Alli & her brother definitely care for her & KC doesn’t. KC in one move just became so hate able. I refuse to feel sorry for anyone who refuses to be a parent
And it’s not unrealistic at all for her to be 5 months pregnant. There are some cases where it takes longer for the mother to know. Every pregnancy is different, so there’s no reason to treat every pregnancy as the same

i guess they just wanted a different perspective with the teen pregnancy and have a dad be an ass. it’s still just really weird for me for her to be pregnant from him. and i don’t like how it makes clare and kc’s relationship seem so pointless. i’ve seen season 8 the least but i remember the promos for season 9 with clare saying be together forever and kc getting all nervous. then jenna came in and we knew they would end up together, so they’ve been together for awhile now but it still seems so weird! i just find it funny how they dispersed the grade 10 kids, how season 8 there were 4 all together and now they’ve been split into groups with alli going back and forth. connor and co kinda annoy me but their storylines are fine and at least he didn’t get raped in that last episode. anya and riley are a cute friendship, it’s always nice to see anya with anyone else but sav. can’t wait for the rest of this week’s episodes with riley and of course eli and clare.

Pregnancy is not overused on degrassi!! There haves been 10 seasons and only 2 ACTUAL pregnancies Jenna’s is the third. Mia already had a baby. Liberty gave it up for adoption and nobody ever even seemed to know about the pregnancy save toby,jt and of course theyre parents and Manny had an abortion before anything interesting could happen. So im excited to see how degrassi TRULY handles the pregnant girl plot and dealing with the aftermath. Oh and now theres an unsupportive dad involved too ;)

I’m not even close to being a Jenna fan, but I’m sure for a 15 year old girl it’s scary and she was embarrassed and didn’t want to lose KC (AND even if she did figure it out months ago she would STILL be against abortion and KC would STILL leave her)
So if you think about it Kenna would’ve been doomed either way. I just wish she would have gotten it checked when she first suspected because she could’ve REALLY harmed the baby.

Liberty knew she was pregnant and acted responsibly without telling parents. While I agree she should have told her parents, Jenna just pretended it was in her head.
If you think you are mature enough and responsible enough to have sex, you better be mature and responsible enough to raise a kid.
If you are going to have sex but not handle the consequences then you shouldn’t have sex at all.

Does denial make someone stupid or retarded? No. Denial isn’t as uncommon as you would think among teens who get pregnant. We’ve all heard those stories about girls who hide their pregnancy the entire nine months and abandon the child after birth or even worse. At least Jenna accepted the truth that she was pregnant and went to the doctor at five months. Its not an easy situation and she is only fifteen, give her a break.

i know liberty didn’t confirm it for awhile but idk that plotline seems very different. and she also said she knew it. jenna shouldn’t have even done the whole weight loss storyline – it was trying to make her seem just fat but no it’s pregnant. then jenna was saying how she thought it all these months and put it in the back of her mind. i didn’t think she’d be so far along. regardless of what people do in real life or not, the jenna pregnancy still bothers me cuz it was that long.

Ever heard of i didnt know i was pregnant you borderline retard? Its MORE than common to not know your pregnant. Lots of women dont even know they are pregnant until they go into labor. Its rare but at times women dont have any signals like morning sickness and stuff like that. Jenna isnt retarded i love Jenna she is nice and a great character. Who cares if she got KC Clare wasnt being the best gf ever anyway.

Wow, I’m in total shock.
I hated Jenna and KC as a couple; their relationship was the definition of sketchy and was based on a physical attraction. Trying to make them seem like a real couple was so unbelievable because they got together so abruptly and horribly (for Clare). It’s hard to feel sympathetic for Jenna when she and KC have been in merry-merry land the whole season- which is nauseating because their relationship is a complete JOKE.
I miss KC from Season 8. The innocent kid is long gone. He’s turned into a complete and utter douche. Dumping your girlfriend and hooking up with another girl the same night to knocking a girl up? What happened to the kid that wanted to forget his past? The smart kid who did Bot Wars? I miss that KC.
I am typing all this because I loved KC/Clare, but right now they couldn’t possibly get back together. KC has a lot of growing up to do and Clare couldn’t wait for him to do it. Plus, KC has to get rid of his douchey qualities which could take a while. And with a pregnant ex-girlfriend, it’d be hard for KC to go back to Clare. KC needs to be single for a LONG time. And so does Jenna for the matter. They both have some growing up to do. Badly.

AWWW PART 2 is soo nice it makes up for the Part 1, I like how Jenna still tries out even with the pregnancy and her brother is very supportive.
KC SUCKS lol, this season he just becomes more and more of a jerk, neither Jenna or Clare need KC at all, he was the problem all along lol.
The Riley Plot was confusing-ish it was just a setup so whatever, and the Conner plot didn’t go there. They could of added more to it like her locking him in the car or something more interesting.
Side notes: Alli is hilarious, Anya was nice, Jenna’s brother is cool, and now we are down to the last 6 episodes :O

i just finished watching part 2 of TDOTO, here are some thoughts:
*KC turned into a major douche since season 8
*i think it would bee cool (sorta) if jenna had the baby then just threw it away or something because she wanted KC back, and she was stressed about the Teen Star Auditions
* its really cool that Jennas brother was really supportive because i could easily imagine him kicking jenna out or something.
* the Riley/Anya friendship<33333333
* i wish Connor and his online gf went on a little longer {forexample: connor goes to her house then realizes shes trying to rape him then calls the police or something}
