The big “Announcement” has been moved back two weeks:

ACCCCKKKKK!! The announcement from the American and Canadian broadcasters on Degrassi has been shifted from March 11 to March 27!!!!

Great…just great. That’s one day after the first day of Season 10 shooting. I guess the good news about that is that we’ll have an explosion of Degrassi-related stuff at the end of March/beginning of April.

Degrassi read-throughs get under way tomorrow, Tuesday March 9th:

tomorrow we have our Orientation meeting with all the Degrassi 10 cast, followed by the read-through of episodes 1001 – 1004

AWEEESOME!!!! The cast is apparently locked up and ready to go. And hopefully we’ll get some information on more episodes too.
BTW, did anyone realize that The Exec said it’s the BROADCASTERS making the announcement, not himself? That sounds like it’s definitely going to be a programming decision as to how Degrassi airs on both networks.

the read through was amazing! i’ve never met a bunch of people as nice as the degrassi cast and staff! the story lines are great. season 10 is going to be amazing and i only know of four episodes so far, get pumped. and im sorry but i can’t give anything awayy

Danny is another character, like mia, that i loved seasons 4-7 but as soon as he started that feud with derek, it was the end of his character. Not to mention the fact that his plots in season 8 were boring as hell. He went from almost dating mia, to dating leia, to being an extra (DGH)

Morgan? Uh-huh. This Leighton character. Um… WHAT’S HER LAST NAME?!!! And Derek is on the Season 9 cast list on Degrassi.Tv.com, so apparently he is going to make an appearance, but I don’t see that happening(i think he was sent away for telling holly j. He was gonna strangle her with a rope. Note: when he was called down to the office in Up Where We Belong, we never saw him again).

I feel that this is strongly supported by the fact that he actually brought in a rope. It should be noted that he was not called down by The Shep and his so-called reformed self, who still would’ve given him preferential treatment. By the way, I was thinking about Clare’s supposed family tragedy, and I highly doubt it had anything to do with Darcy. A tragedy for Clare would be, like, KC sprouting a zit or something. So anyway, I was thinking: A divorce, maybe? I once read it had been rumored that Clare’s mom had a thing with the Shep. Maybe her dad finds out, files for a divorce, and she is forced to choose a living arrangememt between the two of them. In the end, she picks neither, stating that the situation is too complicated for her to handle, so she seeks a therapist, files for emancipation and moves in with Alli. At the same time, Declan is reeling from a horrible breakup between the parentals. Declan is forced to move crosscountry with his dad, and he has trouble breaking it to Holly J.

the episode with the “derek bringing in a rope” thing happened a year ago. hes not still “suspended” and when did he ever bring in a rope? there was never an indication about clare’s family tragedy besides on wikipedia which is completely false/fan fiction. and darcy is not in season 9. also a tragedy would not be getting a zit. thats just completely stupid and people are more mature then that. read where? a fan-fiction that clares mom was with the shep like where do u find out all ur dumb info from? and you can not be emancipated at age 15.

Which is why he has a hard time telling Holly J. That he loves her back, when deep down, he knows he does. Due to the whole Darcy situation, Clare understands how hard it will be for Declan and Fiona to be living so far apart. After a tearful heart-to-heart with Fiona, Clare and Declan spend time together, and after Declan kisses her and she likes it, she makes out with him, thinking she is over KC and losing the status of an innocent little girl. Declan gives in and becomes a player once more. After a few days of dating Declan, Clare starts to feel a little out of place. Declan realizes that he never loved Clare at all, and he’s not as in love with Holly J. as he thought. Who he is in love with might surprise him. Meanwhile, Clare rejects Declan when he tries to kiss her one final time. Little did he know, KC had invited her over to his house to really talk things out. Declan and Clare each state that they feel they rushed into the relationship for all the wrong reasons, and that they love someone else.

Little does he know, she is wearing that lacy bra. She realizes she never wanted to take Declan in the first place. She just wanted to make KC jealous. She says I love you too, and deciding that what KC has put her through qualifies for a lifetime of marriage, and feeling completely innocent due to the fact that all she ever wanted was to get him back, she begins her newfound parent-free lifestyle by discarding her virginity ring, church retreats and saintly clothes for good, and, along with the boy that she truly does love, she decides to have sex for the very first time. so? What do you guys think??? For once, I actually WANT your feedback!!!

Again. This is what I THINK will happen. Liberty’s so-called appearing apparently was her mention in holiday road. Derek’s said to appear THIS season! And whatever happened to Leighton, the girl you supposedly tried out for??? I don’t care. Now look her. We’ve spent 5 FREAKING MONTHS waiting for some actual news about Degrassi, and [if i hold out!] any longer, I am going to scream. So would you PLEASE tell us the NAME of your character, your twitter account, your character’s grade, and 1 thing each about your character/season 10? and legal emancipation age in most places is 18. 17-16 in some places, the youngest. a parent is not going to let their child become emancipated. hint the age 18 when they are legal and dont need any parental decisions. Expelled and suspended are TWO DIFFERENT things.

The reason the show gets made is because its sponsor’s give them money to make the show. And the only reason the sponsor’s give them the money is because they know people will be watching the show and see the sponsor’s advertisements. So the fan who watch Degrassi keep the show alive, cause if it wasn’t for us then there wouldn’t be Degrassi and many of the workers most likely wouldn’t have a job this great. So we deserve to know the info about Season 10 NOW!!!

The Exec Producer just tweeted the “big announcement” cause “After all that, TeenNick DID announce yesterday the Degrassi secret I had been holding back on!!”

“… not just (and some of you had guessed this) that there will be 48 episodes, twice as many as we’ve ever done before…”
