DJGENERAL has interviewed Stephen Stohn, and Shannon Kook-Chun…now it’s time for Munro Chambers. DJ posted on twitter that there was some bad news…NO it’s not Eli dying or Munro leaving the show, but it’s apparent near the end of the interview.

Did you audition for any other characters on the show? If so, who? How was the audition process?
The auditioning process for Degrassi was a lot of fun. I went in to audition for Luke Bilyk’s character Drew, then on the spot they asked if I could go learn the sides for Eli. Then after a couple days I got the call!

What has been the best part of being on the show so far?
The best part of being on Degrassi is the cast and crew. Everyone is so nice and really works hard to try and make Degrassi the best it can be.

Some people may not know this, but you have an identical twin brother, Thomas, and he is also an actor. Any chances of him appearing on Degrassi?
Thomas was an actor for eight years but decided it just was not for him. Maybe he can be Eli’s evil brother? The real story will be which brother is really the evil one? Muahaha

Are there any storylines you would really like to see Eli go through in the future?
I’m extremely happy with the storylines Eli has been through already. But if Eli ever had a time where drugs came into the situation, that would be a lot of fun to do!

Is acting something you want to do for life, or do you have another career in mind?
I have wanted to be an actor since I was seven years old. There is nothing I would rather be doing at this point in my life.

What was it like when you found out you would be working with Aislinn Paul again? Had you guys kept in touch since you did the Lifetime movie, Murder in the Hamptons, in 2005?
I was really excited to hear that Aislinn was going to be my love interest. Knowing that I was going to know at least one familiar face made me feel more comfortable about joining a cast that has been together for years.

What kind of things do you do on set when you have some down time?
On my off time I like hanging with my close friends.

Were you intimidated coming to a new set last year? A lot of these people have been working together for years now. How did they make you feel at home?
I wasn’t nervous joining the cast. For me it was like any other project that I’ve done in the past. Also, the cast being as nice and welcoming as they are made it easy to feel right at home.

Before working on Degrassi, you were on another Canadian show called The Latest Buzz. How are the two roles different?
The two characters, Eli and Wilder could not be further apart. Eli is dark and mysterious, where as Wilder is outgoing and not the sharpest tool in the shed. Although both characters are complete opposites they are both extremely fun to play.

This interview would not be complete without taking about your popularity on Twitter. When you made your account you had thousands of followers within just a few minutes. Why did you wait so long to get an account, especially when most of the Degrassi cast already had one?
The biggest motivation to get Twitter was actually my co-star, Aislinn Paul. When the show started to air our pairing started to gain a lot of popularity so the only way to get in contact with me or us was through her Twitter. That along with producer Stephen Stohn raving about it led me to finally getting an account.

After you joined, you even were a trending topic. How did that make you feel to know you have such huge support from your fans?
Becoming a worldwide trending topic was very exciting. To know that people all over the world are supporting what I do is such a humbling thought. The fans I’ve gained from being on Degrassi have been amazing and I just hope they understand how much their support means to me.

I know right…It doesn’t take that long to answer the questions! Hell, even one or two words would be better than nothing. Shannon received the questions, what, a week later? And he finished them ALL, AND much quicker than Munro did! Can’t be that hard, Munro. :/
He especially can’t be that busy if he’s been spending so much time hanging out with the guys, which (according to twitter), he HAS. I’m not gonna lie; I’m really disappointed that he cares so little about his fans that he can’t even answer a single one of their questions. But whatever. At least it’s clear that most of the other actors are grateful to and love their fans.

Sorta agree’d I understand that he didnt have enough time or whatever but at the very least making time for fans is the most important thing and he did. He comes off as a stuck up douche. No longer on team Munro. Wish everyone was as cool as Sam Earle, Melinda Shankar and Shannon Kook-Chun. Melinda is pretty busy all the time and she always tweets people back. I seriously think this guy walks around like his poop don’t stink.
Sorry if I’m ranting. I’m not upset because I wanted to know more, I’m upset that someone would be that low and shameless and not answer a few simple questions. I’m a journalist and I’ve never been through that so I feel horrible that he ignored the preparation it took for those questions.

it is a bit rude i mean its a few questions dont just leave em unanswered like that its a bit unclassy. the least he could have done is apologize for not answering them all BUT yeah i think his head got a tad big it was back when he was on the latest buzz i can only imagine NOW that a ton of fan girls are obsessed with this guy. im only basing this from what i see im not full on judging him cause do not know him personally but like i said its only my opinion.

So a lot of people are saying that it was mean or rude of him not to answer all the questions. I mean I was a little disappointed but I think some people are taking it to far I mean it is his life and he has a right not answer questions he didn’t have time to answer or just didn’t want to. I just think that we were lucky to get an interview at all and I think we should just back off of him a little bit.

He is by far not a a list celebrity or even a celebrity at all. Why shouldny he do an interview? I mean at this point in his career he is no where near large enough to not put out as much publicity for himself as he can.
All this interview did was make us think he thinks he is better than he is, that he doesnt really care about his fans and that he is kind of an asshole.
He can do that when he is in all the big screen movies or whatever but now he really has too think about the kind of image he wants to give the people that are going to make his career.

I am a bit dissappointed that he didn’t get to answer all of the questions. Shannon answered all of his questions. He may not be in as many scenes in Degrassi as Munro but he also does another show and has other projects he’s working on so that’s not really an excuse. I don’t think we should judge him based solely on this interview though. We don’t know personally, he may just have alot going on right now and simply just could not answer the questions.
Also, it would be interesting to see him play Drew, maybe all the fangirls wouldn’t like him as much. :P

Ayy! Dat was lame, ese! God forbid you answer a few more questions in a span of, what, 15 minutes? Darn you, ese! I am more than disappointed. He answered all of the cliche, blah blah blah questions that every celebrity gets asked, and none of the good ones. Da-ang! That is some cow dung right there! And I wish he would stop avoiding the birthday question. I mean, if you just answer it, people will stop asking. Some of us know he’s 20 because a few Degrassi cast members actually confirmed it on Twitter. It gets old, but he should stop avoiding it. It looks weird. And why was he SO busy compared to the others who were interviewed?

I understand if Munro is busy but damn he answered like none of the questions people would actually care about, Melinda is busy but does a bunch of interviews, Stephen Stohn is busy making the whole show and still does interviews, Shannon is on like 3 shows and still does interviews, So Munro on ONE show and had more time than Shannon to do the interview should at least be able to answer the questions or at least say sorry for not being able to make a full interview. This really makes him seem like the fame has gone to his head(even though he isn’t *we hope*) that he doesn’t have to do interviews.

Hmmm. It is odd that he didn’t answer the questions, but I’m not going to judge because I don’t know the guy personally. It’s one interview, so we can’t say that he just doesn’t care about his fans from that. Anyway, it’s typical for an actor to compliment their fans, but I’m sure not all actors mean it when they do. Actually, I could see this guy maybe feeling a little uncomfortable about his fans, especially knowing that half of them are insane fangirls. Although, I should think he would have time to answer the questions for the sake of the fans who aren’t crazy, but oh well.
Maybe he’s just a very private person, even though those questions weren’t particularly invasive, or maybe he’s going through something. Or maybe he really is stuck up. We don’t know. Although it is indeed courteous to respond to fan questions, it’s not like he’s obligated to do it. It would be nice, but people think that just because an actor has fans it’s necessary for them to answer all the questions. He has a right to leave the ones he doesn’t want to answer blank. Judging him against another person, like Shannon, isn’t right IMO.

I think everyone is over-reacting. The guy works a tight schedule I am sure. I don’t think it should matter whether or not he answered ALL the questions…he is entitled to his privacy. Some of these fangirls are crazy and I am sure he knows that hence the unanswered ?’s! He is an amazing actor, and just because he didn’t answer your question doesn’t mean you should stop supporting him. Remember…he didn’t have to answer any. Be thankful.

I bet he’s a very private person that just doesn’t want to reveal too much about himself. Acting probably isn’t the best profession for that, but everyone has a right to privacy.
I also bet he didn’t realize that the questions he didn’t answer would be published for all to see. Maybe if he had known that this was going to happen, he would have answered them. It kind of makes for an embarrassing situation really.
I also wonder if his answers were edited in any way. Judging from his twitter activity, he’s not the best speller in the world and he’s kind of lacking in the grammar department.

Hi, um can we all just cut Munro some slack? Kary and all the other positive speakers are right, we can’t jump to conclusions. Optimistically it would have been nice to see some more questions answered, but let’s all count what we got. I’m not saying Munro is too good to thinks he’s too good or whatever else, I just don’t want to bash him and dismiss his person because he didn’t TYPE SOME WORDS. I mean, really people, of all the things to be upset about.. There will be other interviews I’m sure. And while he said he counts his fans as important, he didn’t say most important. Munro is a person, and he’s allowed a life outside of fame. Speaking of which, he doesn’t even have much of it anyways. (I’m working to correct this, rest asured XD).

I think Munro is 20 or older. I don’t understand why else he would be so reluctant to say his age. Maybe he doesn’t reveal his age because he’s like 20 and his love interest is 16. I don’t know, I don’t get the teenage vibe from him at all, so I say he’s 20.
