You’ve probably already seen them by now, but…
The first gallery shots of Degrassi: Next Class. Still no word on when the series debuts on Netflix.
In the meantime, check out this fascinating breakdown Fusion Magazine did, looking at how much Degrassi has touched on certain topics since 1987:
They also break it down even further, for instance identifying how many episodes dealt with a specific drug (coke, meth, etc). You can check out the full article here.

In a DegrassiBlog update, I’m working on updating the site for Next Class. One of the new features is a second news feed in the sidebar to the right called “Degrassi Daily.”
I’ve stuck to posting primarily major Degrassi stuff over the years…a huge reason is I have a ton of e-mail subscribers who receive an update every time I publish a post. Trust me when I say you don’t want me spamming your inbox a million times a day with things like, “Luke Bilyk Had Pizza For Lunch After Autograph Signing At Random Library In Saskatoon,” or “BREAKING NEWS: Ehren Pooped His Pants On Snapchat!”
Degrassi Daily puts an end to that, so make sure to keep an eye on that thing for more news and other cast stuff.

Why am I not surprised about the high percentage with higher Romantic relationships than family and drugs & alcohol? I would think Family, Drugs & alcohol and growth would be higher in HS…
Anywho the walls look brighter now.. wow.

It’s funny, because my first reaction was that Romantic relationships didn’t seem as high as I thought it was. There are enough people complaining about [tra-la-la] triangles so it’s refreshing to see the actual breakdown. But if you think about it, it’s the ships that are at the heart of the fandom. I’m happy that Family has so much attention. Back with the original cast, one could completely forget that Ashley and Toby were step-siblings.

Thanks for your dedication towards all things Degrassi. I’m blown away with the amount of news items that you’re able to gather and share with the fans. I really like the new “Daily Degrassi” addiction to your blog.

It would be interesting to see an episode that shows a male with eating problems
