Omg this just made my life! I got really excited for a second ugh I miss Emma haha I wish they’d pay homage to the original one last time haha but I’m not hating on the newbies considering Degrassi is a school. But ahh Miriam just made me miss seasons 1-9 haha
So how many years HAS passed in-show since Emma and everyone else graduated? (which would be one year earlier than the class before). I can’t keep track of Degrassi timeline. Makes me hope that maybe, one day, they’ll do a reunion episode/movie. I mean…it’s Degrassi…It Goes There. ;P Anything is possible. Wow, that was…nostalgic… damn.
Seriously though. I started watching Degrassi summer of 2014…so just over 10 years ago…o.o Funny, actually. First episode I ever saw was “Secret” (I was like 11 at the time). Because I had no idea what was going on or anything…I kinda hated it? But then I rewatched it and at once fell in love and continued watching and then marathons happened and yeah…been watching for wow…almost 11 years… whoa…and there are people who have been watching way longer than I have! That just feels…so good and I really hope Degrassi doesn’t ever end. If one show doesn’t, this would be the one. They know how to graduate characters (well NOW they do, even if its all “I miss them! I wish we could have more stories with them!” it jsut didn’t work when they did it with the original TNG generation), and write the same overall plots with different twists according to each character’s personalities… ’tis why I love Degrassi.
Plus I love characters and I just want to see so many different sorts of characters…! Maybe they’ll one day even bring them further with characterization…o.O then again, characters in my head are effed up and Degrassi is a teen show sooooo….
Clare’s class was introduced as Grade 9s when Emma’s class was in their first year of university, making them four years apart, so as of Season 14:
Paige’s class: First year post-university
Emma’s class: Final year of university
Peter’s class: 3rd year of university
Holly J’s class: 2nd year of university
Eli’s class: 1st year of university
Hi I’m millie, and I’m 31. And I have been a fan of degrassi for years. I’ve seen the kids of degrassi street, degrassi junior high, and degrassi high and I still watch it to this day. I also own it on DVD, I just love degrassi period. I would love to visit canada where degrassi was filmed since the beginning. Also, I once bedazzled a shirt to say “Degrassi: It Goes There”. I also made CHarmed and Smallville t-shirts…. yeah.
