TEENNICK’S NEW EPISODIC PROMO FOR TONIGHT’S EPISODE WAS RELEASED THIS MORNING:

Maybe it’s just me, but this Degrassi hiatus has zoomed by faster than any other one in recent memory. However, I’m glad that Degrassi is finally back and looking to make an immediate impact with Bitter Sweet Symphony. To be honest, I’ve put little effore into trying to analyze this episode or any other episode in 12C. There’s a lot of stuff we already know about, but I kind of want to go into and through this block as blind as possible, and avoid spending every waking moment trying to predict what’s going to happen next.
Normally I’m pretty skeptical when the folks at Epitome hype up things as intense or heartbreaking, but the language in Stefans tweets (which have since been deleted) is a lot stronger than normal. The generation of Degrassi fans who jumped into the show in season 7 or beyond have not experienced devastation. Sure they could go back and rewatch “Time Stands Still” or “Rock This Town,” but it’s completely different when you experience watching it at the same time as the rest of the fandom. I hope 12C delivers and then some on Stefan’s declaration.

ahh so I’m rewatching Time Stands Still and Rock This Town haha I’m sure the major episode that has the huge surprise happens next week.

so i’ve been expecting it for a while about how little footage cam is in ( haven’t seen the show yet, am going to have to wait for it to online) that he is going to going to die (commit suicide). Degrassi will get a lot of hate, but if you want impact, choose a very likeable character and Cam is definitely one of them. Although I do hope I’m wrong, especially since Dylan Everett is one of the most talented on the show. Expecting big things from him!

I would be surprised if the show got a lot hate for having Cam suicide, considering the amount of people who complain that Degrassi doesn’t “go there” anymore. They’re going there and then some in Bitter Sweet Symphony.

for the degrassi fanatics, there shouldn’t be hate, but for young girls who are obsessed with Cam, there will be. I remember crying when JT died and being amazed that a tv show could make me feel this way. I’m hoping for the same reaction tonight. It’s been a long time coming….

Am I the only person that also sees Cam the way Zig does? Maybe it’s just because I’ve dated someone exactly like him but he is a psycho.

NOT TO SOUND RUDE BUT CAM REALLY HASN’T HAD A BIG ENOUGH IMPACT ON ME TO CARE IF HE COMMITS SUICIDE OR NOT. I WOULD RATHER IT BE SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY MATTERS. SEEMS LIKE CAM HAS ONLY BEEN ON THE SHOW FOR LIKE4 HOURS,IF THAT. THE ONLY NEW CHARACTERS THAT HAVE AFFECTED ME THUS FAR ARE TORI,DALLAS,& TRISTAN. YOU CAN KEEP THE REST

I feel like this won’t be as devestating as the previous incidents, because the fans really had no clue what was going to happen until it actually happened or a very vague idea like, “there’s going to be a shooting.” But now we already know what is about to go down, mainly because they have hyped it up so much and these promos have made it increasingly clear what is going to happen. I’ve already started the grieving process so I don’t know if I’ll really be devastated.

Looking back, with JT’s death it had been confirmed months in advance that JT was going to die. It was no secret, yet the final scene of that episode was no less devastating.

I actually wasn’t devestated by JT as much as some other fans were because back then I spent a lot more energy in finding out what happened, so knowing lessened the shock. It also didn’t help that the setup for it was bad with the Lakehurst rivalry and him being stabbed by some totally random dude. That aside, for me personally, it’ll come down to the performances and whether we see Cam before hand or if they just have him jump at the beginning and just have everyone ask why and react.

I’m thinking this won’t bother me as much now as it will when the episode finally premieres, Sadly, we all know it’s Cam that will commit suicide (even though the promo wants us to believe it’ll be Dallas, who is obviously grieving and beating himself up over Cam’s death). I can see now how this will bring up a lot of issues for Eli considering Julia’s death and how severely that affected him. All of this leads into what will most likely be one of the most devastatingly sad episodes degrassi has had since Rock This Town. I recognized an old school TNG vibe going on in this episode. Sad to see Cam go, I liked his character – but this has been foreshadowed since the beginning on season 12 and “Showdown”.
What will be interesting now is seeing how all of this will effect those involved.

Yeah, Cam dying would be sad. But what I’m looking forward to is how this devastates the rest of the characters at the school, and impacts their lives during the rest of the season.

i think i died inside. if cam commits suicide i will cry for hours and hours on end. i wouldnt like the show anymore considering he was the reason for me watching.

Zig is an asshole…Cam is away from everyone he truly knows, doing a sport he doesn’t care for. Always getting pressured by Dallas. Zig treats him like dirt. Zig kissed his girl, he is pretty emotional, and he has broken his arm on purpose….I mean it seems highly likely that he would be the one to commit suicide.

so heres what I think Eli and Clare see Cam jump and Eli upset at seeing another death shields Clares eyes and tells her to run and get help. the police come and announce that cam has died then Mr simpson tells the team and Dallas, who was the meanest to CAM, feels the worst about it. Zig feels bad that he called him and phycho right before he jumped and commited suicide.

Am I the only who thinks Cam may die of carbon monoxide poisoning. I have a feeling Cam maybe in the greenhouse or in that general area. Many greenhouses of have generators.??
