Celebrate the new year with Degrassi’s New Year’s Lockin’ Eve! I might’ve posted this already, but today is the 10-year anniversary of this airing.  The-N had the cast ring in the new year (2003) by having a lock-in at Degrassi.  The network also had fans voting for the Degrassi episode they wanted to ring in the new year…the episode chosen was “Weird Science,” which aired at midnight.  This happened a year and a half before I started watching Degrassi.  Kudos to any Degrassi fan still around who got to watch this when it actually aired.

LOL is it bad that it took me until the 3rd “Jake” joke to realized they where talking about Jake Goldsbie (Toby) and not Jake Epstein (Craig).

I’ve been watching since Degrassi Junior High. At that time I was not aware of these special events, so I missed this. It is nice to see this ‘lost’ footage of most of the original Next Generation cast. Too Cool for School.

Oh my goodness, this is so awesome! I remember roaming around YouTube two years ago looking at a bunch of old stuff from The-N because I was having one of those inner “TeenNick sucks, they ruined this channel” moment and needed to feel some nostalgia. I came across this and… Wow. This was clearly during Season 2 and I started watching in Season 3, so no I never saw this originally aired, but it’s really great and shows how much better The-N was that they actually arranged things like this.
