Degrassi’s fall finale airs as a one-hour episode tonight at 9pm on TeenNick, wrapping up the fall block before Thanksgiving. For Canadian fans MuchMusic is not airing the episode until Friday night. Though this episode is considered a finale, we still have one more (one-hour) Degrassi episode that will air in December…the Vegas spring break special.

Clare want alone time with Eli then Eli’s going to cockblock himself by getting high with Jake. This is why I love Degrassi. I’m actually happy that they’re actually facing the double standard issues with step parents and their teenagers.

The fall block is over and we still haven’t seen whatever the “shocking” thing is that some of the actors were talking about a while back.
I thought this was a really good episode with lots of “uh oh” moments and seemingly happy endings. Emphasis on seemingly.
Maya is kidding herself about Cam, and Zig isn’t going to give up his pursuit of her. And now that Tori knows what happened, we may have to wait until the niners are juniors to see them together again.
I would like to have seen one of Becky’s reparative therapy sessions before she went back to Adam so that we could see the challenges she was facing. But I liked the story, and we know there are obstacles ahead.
It was nice to see Clare speak up about the double standard and win. Wonder if this is the end of the pot smoking plot.
I don’t think the wedding will happen. We’ll see.

Here’s what I liked about the episode as a whole: there was much left unresolved.
Clare: Her home life: we left with her mom giving her some leeway but we don’t know what’s going on at home between her and Glen. After seeing evidence of major discrepancies in the parenting styles of both parties, the issue of how they can resolve their differences and keep a peaceful home life is still up in the air.
Maya: Zori: Zig and Tori’s relationship was left unattended and so was Zig’s feelings…and Maya’s. The only person we really see come full circle is Cam who clearly makes it known how he feels by taking Maya back. We know Zig like Maya but we don’t really know what he plans to do to get her. We can assume Zori is over but I am sure there’s more to the story. Maya and Tori’s friendship, along with Zig and Maya’s friendship, and Tori and Zig’s relationship is all unresolved.
Adam: Becky’s parents: we know they walked out on her dad, but we don’t know what happens next for them or their relationship with the Bakers. It would be really nice to see how Becky’s life plays out now (maybe from Adam or Luke’s perspective just to get a different take on her struggles). the writers left us with a sweet Beckdam moment but neglect to wrap up all the characters. The Bakers are left wide open.
The reason I like all this is because it makes me feel like everything isn’t so perfect even if it seems it might be. The Camaya moment at the end is sweet but there’s still the question of Zig. And the Eclare car kiss was nice but we’ve seen Clare struggle at home once before. And the Beckdam ending was cute, but, in all actuality, they are still right where they were to being with considering her family.
Chaz Bono’s appearance was cool. He didn’t really say much that no one else could’ve said, but I like that Adam idolized him and took his advice seriously because Chaz has credibility in the whole field. That being said, it is one of the best celebrity cameos ever (remember KeKe Palmer?).
I also really liked the interactions we’ve barely seen this season take flight/
Clare: her and Jake and her parents: we haven’t gotten to see Clare and Jake act as step-siblings really since the weed incident. It was cool to see how they feel about each other. After their parents got married, it was good to see how the whole family as adapted to their new life.
Adam: Dave and him: it was great to see the development of this friendship throughout the season. I like that Dave has kind of taken on the ‘older brother’ role for Adam because Drew isn’t there to do so. It was a shame though not to see Adam talk to Eli, his best friend, about the Becky Baker situation.

i loved the episodes and i cant wait to see what zig does next season. Im glad that maya told cam the truth and refused to be with zig. its not right and besides, i was always a camaya fan. Im going to miss eli next season but i hope they have at least one or two episodes next season where he makes an appearance. Also, that would make sense since its obvious that eclare are going to have a long distance relationship

Eli is sort of boring at this point. Jake always was. Clare is still interesting for me to watch this season.
I still don’t care about Tori, she was a better actress when she was 5 and that’s not saying much. Zig is also boring and useless. Maya has a lot of character potential, I enjoy watching her and Cam.
Becky is just so generic, I really don’t know how anyone is supposed to relate to her or have any type of emotional connection to her storyline. I’m really over Adam as well. Probably one of the least convincing transgender ever. At least try and deepen your voice? Stop wearing foundation and tweezing your eyebrows?
I dunno dude, I’m really losing interest in this season big time. The first few episodes of S12 had that Boiling Point feel that heightened my hopes for this show but the remaining 20 or so episodes were boring as sin.

The actors and actresses work hard with the material they are given so if you want to call a character boring comment on the writter who are giving them stupid material for plot lines. Also Becky just got her sure she is generic but she has time because she is just a junior and theres still 12c and s13 to develop her character. If you rememeber the fall block wasn’t really about anyone but (Alli, Maya, Becky, and Adam) so of course the characters that didnt get plots are going to seem boring but to say the whole season is boring just because one of the characters aren’t really neccassary to that part of the season is a little outhere! And i wish people would stop comparing newer seasons to the Boliling point. Yes the boilign point was generally a good season but Season 10 and Season 12 are two different seasons with two different themes and school years and characters so don’t compare the seasons because they never the same. Personally I think S12 is great so far; many characters who havent yet had a plot are slowly getting them and getting developed but its your opinion and you have a right to one. But seriously If your really losing interest in the show and you think that this whole seaosn wasnt good because it didnt live to the _boiling point” then don’t watch the show instead of complaining about it.

Oof, no. You do realize the point of an open forum like this is to express an opinion, both positive and negative, right? “If you don’t this the season is good than don’t watch it instead of complaining about it?”. How would I know if the season sucked if I didn’t watch it at least once? How will I know if I enjoy the remaining episodes if I don’t continue to watch the new episodes…at least once? I don’t understand your logic on that one.
Also, I’m comparing S12 to the Boiling Point based on episode and theme structure and development and not on actual character content.
When I say that characters are boring, that’s exactly what I meant. The CHARACTERS are boring, which yes, like you said, means the characters that the writers create plot lines for. I didn’t think I needed to specify that. But yes, if I think Alex Steele is a bad actress, I’m more than justified to express that.
I don’t care if the actors “work hard with the material they are given”, which is not only an assumption and a generalization, but is also like saying “you can’t dislike mustard because the manufacturers and distributors work really hard to sell this to you so that you’ll like it”.
