But Luke’s teenage urges often get the better of him, despite his attempts to remain pure to his Christian faith. Being a hockey player, Luke has a constant abundance of female adoration, which usually makes him the guy who’ll kiss first and pray for forgiveness later.
MIKE “DALLAS” DALLAS (18), Grade 12
Hockey team captain, Dallas expects to enjoy everything elite players revel in — puck bunnies, keggers, alpha male status. Dallas is a fun-loving guy who’s never had to deal with real consequences for any of his actions. Dallas plays big brother to everyone on his team, teasing and mocking the boys in the locker room, but over-protective in public, lashing out at anyone who crosses him or his team.
CAMPBELL SAUNDERS (15), Grade 10
Like his Junior Hockey teammates, Campbell is handsome and athletic. Unlike his teammates, Cam is gentle, shy, and sweet. But whatever confidence he lacks in social settings, he more than makes up for on the ice with his dominating skill.

So we have a pair of twins here? Seems like another Declan/Fiona situation to me. I feel like the writers of Degrassi are just re-doing previous story lines but tweaking them slightly so they seem different.

That was my first thought EXACTLY! It’s kinda random. Anyways, I don’t mind the twin story line again, even if the do seem a lot like the coynes, except for the fact that they are rich and the bakers are conservative christians.
Any-who, I don’t mind recycled plot lines, because it’s not like only 1 person deals with an issue (kinda hoping they touch bulimia/anorexia again, this time with a girl who really is conscious of her body not like emma who did it more for control.) the only thing that keeps getting in my nerves because they have done this like 1000000 times is BANDS! WTF, mo, imogen, zig, and maya in whisperhug (name of the band). Imogen on drums, zig on guitar or something like that. This is the shit that makes me frustrated. Yes back in high school lots of people had bands, but i just feel like they were in the background. It’s always such and UPFRONT issue in degrassi, ugh.

Florida actually has some pretty intense figure skating training. A lot of competitive skaters go there to train. I don’t know anything about hokey, but maybe with the huge figure skating maybe they have hokey too. Not sure though

Well they have two NHL teams in Florida. But I agree it’s a bit odd, unless their characters are supposed to be Canadians who were raised in Florida for a certain period. I’m sure there are some youth hockey teams in Florida, so it’s not impossible, just odd.

Ha, yeah, but those NHL teams are supposed largely by all the Canadian tourists who stay in Florida during the colder months. If the Panthers are playing the Leafs or the Canadiens down there, you’re looking at a sold out game.

I’m pretty sure Degrassi is taking a stab at and making fun of the Florida Family Association for all their homophobic garbage. So pretty much Becky and Luke are the FFA.

Saw on etalk today (Canadian equivalent of E.T.) that Chaz Bono will be making a cameo as himself in season 12 and will have a scene with Adam. Not exactly sure what kind of situation could lead to them meeting though.

so far the characters seem okay. I don’t really like Becky even though she’s a ‘very devoted christian’ she seems really sneaky and like she’d make someone’s life miserable! Luke seems that same way! Mike seems the same way too but he’d give someone fair warning first! Campbell seems pressured to be tough but he’s really just a sweet guy! Plus i heard he’s supposed to have anxiety and panic attack!

Oh, writers of Degrassi, your creativity astounds me. Becky is a combo of Emma, Darcy and Clare’s former personality. She’s gonna be steadfast and conservative–the supreme “intolerant” and cliche bad guy–until she rebels. Guesses? Falls for a bad boy? Drugs? Pregnant? Ah, but perhaps I’m unreasonable, it’s just Degrassi after all.

i personally dont like becky, she’s seems so stupid and pointless of a character. Also, im really looking forward to the love story line between maya and campbell. OMG, did i mention that later on clare is sexually harrassed by the guy she works for on the toronto newspaper. Eli is going to whoop some ASSSSSS!!!!! I feel bad for clare and for campbell too. Defintely dont like becky and katie…..Waste of time like i said………
