Well, I take back my earlier comment about a Katie/Bianca cat fight being another marketing ploy. I’d like to think Drianca don’t further cheat together, and Katie just finds out about the first kiss. Because if Drianca does keep cheating together… well, how can anyone ship that? I know there are a lot of Drianca shippers out there, but come onnnnnn.
Still very excited to see Degrassi do some real partying. God, I cannot wait. Hope it’s not just one of those, “this is why drinking and partying is bad for you” type scenarios, and that some really funny moments happen (like certain characters getting drunk that you wouldn’t expect).

Agreed about the partying. I hate how often Degrassi demonizes teens drinking and smoking weed. Teens party, get hammered, get high, and have fun. Doesn’t mean it has to be dangerous.

Did you forget when Marisol and them got high in Nowhere to Run and nothing bad happened? Also, whenever they have had parties where someone drank or did drugs, they did so irresponsibly and of course would suffer negative consequences. And getting “hammered” for our generation is basically synonymous with “lets see how many shots I can take before I blackout” which =/= responsible.

I so so so so so do not ship Jatie. And here I’ve been hopeful for Jake/Jenna, though I suppose it’s still not completely out of the cards. And I was actually looking forward to the possible KC/Katie pairing.
Also, I really hope Bianca and Drew don’t continue cheating. If they did, that would render the episode Hollaback Girl useless – it was supposed to showcase how Bianca’s changed.

Personally if it were up to me as far as the while Katie/Drew/Bianca thing goes I’d of done it one of two ways…. 1)Both girls realize they are better then Drew Torres and they become frienemies… 2)but since Drianca seems to be end game for now anyways just based on the way things were left in Hollaback Girl it would of been nice to of seen Bianca stay away still since SHE was the one to tell Drew to not break up with Katie and then have Drew do the breaking up saying so much as well I WAS going to do it before Christmas but Bianca told me to stay and then Katie being all you were PITTY Dating me…. Also I really hope Dark!Katie is do to Kate-dependece and not crazy Katie

The only part I did like when Eli said he was going to crash his car is Ali and Jenna’s “whats.” Obviously they are there when Clare is talking to Eli, and I’m actually looking forward to the Clare-Ali-Jenna friendship just because they’ve come such a long way and changed so much; it’s nice to see them friends again after all that’s happened.

Dance Academy got renewed for another season!? DEAD. I didn’t think anyone watched that shit. After watching a few episodes tho it’s KINDA decent.

Dance Academy is an australian show, and teennick hasn’t even finished showing season 1, those were some clips from the second half of the season. It’s a good show, teennick just doesn’t know how to promote the show properly, which shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone.

Dance Academy is produced and aired in Australia, so the ratings on TeenNick have nothing to do with its renewal. The clips they showed above were from the rest of the first season, not the second one, which already aired in Australia and is on Netflix Instant stream, and is actually way better than the first season. The show actually has continuity, develops their characters, and don’t put them in ridiculously contrived situations.
But to relate this to Degrassi, I though Marisol was Alli with those bangs and I was like, “since when do Alli and Katie hang out? Did they form a club for the girls scorned by Drew for Bianca?” Lol. And just because Jake was there when Katie damages Bianca’s car doesn’t necessarily mean they’re dating. But hopefully Katie-with-a-backbone is more interesting than the Katie we’ve had post her bitching out Clare. She was way more interesting than Krew Katie.

dance academy isn’t BAD…but it’s one of those shows like H20 where it’s clearly more for tweens than teenagers. so it’s not really for my demographic at all, being a 17 year old male. if it dealt with more mature subject matter (something i’ve yet to see, although i’ve only seen so much of the show) then i could maybe take it more seriously

The second season gets way more serious than the first, though it can still be melodramatic at times. The first season is like Degrassi TNG season one that had a few serious episodes like the premiere and finale, but otherwise it didn’t push the envelope that much. It then really stepped up in Season 2. Dance Academy season 2 deals with a lot more serious situations like sexuality, teacher bullying, and even a death.

I thought that that might be the case, that it gets better as it goes on and the characters get older and develop. Teennick has advertised that show so poorly though. Kinda sad. Meanwhile, they’re heavily advertising “Alien Surf Girls…”

^ I thought H2O was bad enough, but Alien Surf Girls takes the cake. I want to know what prompted them to stop airing stuff like South of Nowhere, Daria, Instant Star, and the Best Years and start airing crap like that. They should just move Degrassi to MTV and cancel this channel. They’re both owned by Viacom anyway, so it’s not like they would have a problem transferring the rights.

Okay… with these previews along with the summer promo, the lack of showing Fiona or Imogen even in the background of one scene kind of annoys me. Fimogen shippers can’t even get a clue about what’s going on those two this season? In the random short previews for the season that I’ve seen are the characters Owen, Drew, Bianca, Marisol, Katie, Allie, Jenna, Eli… In the summer promo there’s Tristan, new people, Clare, Zig in his mascot suit, Tori, Maya, Adam, (Drew, Bianca, Eli, and Katie again)… So that leaves out Imogen, Fiona, KC, Connor, (obviously, Wesley is still MIA), and maybe even more that I can’t think of off the top of my head. I think we should at least be able to see a small look into each other character in some preview or another…

Love that Teen Nick is showing so much Australian TV, SLiDE, Dance Academy & H2O. If you guys watch anything else this summer, I really recommend SLiDE it is amazing! Series 2 of Dance Academy was good as well..

It does look pretty good but seeing as how Slide was cancelled after its first season, I don’t really see the point of airing it unless it’s like some weekly one-time thing. I don’t know, it just annoys me how they bring a fresh series to the network when it only has about 10-30 episodes. It’s like really? There are so many great syndicated shows you could be choosing from.

Some people hate Katie so much that they’re not seeing the bigger picture, put yourself in her shoes, your life pretty much is falling apart at the seams, and to top it off you find out your boyfriend is sleeping with his ex, and I hope she beats Bianca’s ass too, I like Bianca… but she deserves this one.

Katie may have an addiction, but it gives Drew no right to cheat on her. I don’t know how anyone can reasonably support Bianca through this when she once again is the one Drew cheated with. Katie can be a little catty and “in your face,” but why should she be docile to Bianca or Drew when the truth comes out? Despite being mad that Katie used her that one time (which she should be willing to be more forgiving since she used Imogen earlier in Now/Never), it doesn’t make her actions right even after she tries to redeem herself by shutting Drew down – temporarily. Drew is the worse of the three being a cheater yet again and not being man enough to tell Katie his feelings b/c either way she’ll be hurt.
I think if the writers showed both of Katie’s and Bianca’s struggles, instead of mostly Bianca’s, then Drew’s wishywashy and inability to be loyal to yet another girlfriend, more fans would be more sympathetic towards the girls and not at all towards Drew. These girls deserve guys better than Drew, they could have an awesome friendship to help build each other up without him, and I adore them both even with their flaws.

Katie, katie, Katie, after watching these promos I must say you have truly earned & deserve the right to get you skull cracked through with a brick… lol Serious though she just doesn’t know when take things for how they are and move on. Bianca is really trying and since day one katie’s insecurities have only made things worse thats why I never feel bad for her at all. Drew’s hormones and need to always have a girl plays a part in this mess too, but lets be honest, drew and bianca risked they’re lives at least 2 times EACH during Now or Never and alot of fans are seem to have forgetting that. If season 11 had a power couple, it was definitly Drew & B, Katie never stood a chance. I mean come on, anybody that comes from a hispanic family knows that once someone you like is cool with the family, they become family, and look how B naturally fits right in the Torres family, epscially with their tough cookie mama. Things could have been worse, but they choose to put their happiness aside for her, so hopefully she’ll get a grip on reality this season but I doubt it. Katie & Icky minaj (marisol Xp) are degrassi’s lamest Queen bees ever!

And what if they break up again and he dismisses her feelings like before, she should take him back a few months later? If you risk your life for someone that puts you above everything else? Jake risked his life for Clare yet they’re not together either. Risking your life shows you care and the whole circumstances boiled down to Bianca’s involvement with gangs. Bianca becomes family yeah but doesn’t mean she has to hook up with Drew. He’ll only pull her back down.

I see where you are coming from and dont get wrong they’ll Drew and B have other problems that will probably tear them apart all over again. My problem with Ms.Matlin is #1: Don’t come for the person that your mate cheated with. If she should be breaking Drews stuff & #2 Dont say your not about drama when half, no most of the time your in the middle if not the cause. Katie can be likable, has skills and knowledge better than anyone at that school, but when it comes dealing with other people or excepting the truth, the girls clueless.

Scorned people usually go after both parties stuff, but Katie likely felt even angrier at Bianca even more since she’s the one that told Katie to relax about her insecurities about her and Drew. To Katie, it would likely feel as if Bianca might have been planning this since she’s the know boyfriend stealer. Katie doesn’t like drama but it’s life and high school is an area where drama happens often (especially at Degrassi). Katie cannot control what Drew does but trusted he’d respect their relationship, but neither Bianca or Drew did. Bianca said she wouldn’t be the boyfriend stealer but that doesn’t stop her from kissing Drew. Bianca shouldn’t be going after a cheater who will likely drop her when something good comes along. The only drama I can think of that wasn’t someone else’s problems bringing her in, would be Katie’s addiction. I don’t know why Bianca or Drew would think Katie or most girls would take being dumped for the “boiler room girl” especially in their time of need. Both girls need to drop Drew and concentrate on themselves. I wouldn’t put it past Drew to make things worse and put more fault on Bianca to make it a “cleaner” break.

I always thought the gang story line showed that Drew and Bianca are good people, not that they belong together.

Did you guys ever stop to think that Drew and Bianca didn’t sleep together and Drew just dumped Katie, and Katie blames Bianca for it? Remember, Drew was over Katie and ready to dump her and Bianca pretty much kept them together. If Bianca really wanted to steal Drew away, she would have let him dump her when she was going to rehab. It was going to happen anyway since Drew was already checked out and was waiting for Katie to get out of rehab to cut her loose. Well Katie is obviously out of rehab and Drew probably decided to dump her. Just because Katie says it was all Bianca’s fault doesn’t mean that’s what really happened, especially when they haven’t shown anything that objectively backs up that claim.

I seriously HOPE you’re right. When Drianca happens, I hope it’s because Drew broke it off with Katie FIRST. However, a lot of Drianca fangirls won’t give a crap. I’ll basically repeat what I said on another thread.
I already stated(and many people have the same opinion) that as of Hollaback Girl, Drew proved that he’s still a cheating douche who doesn’t deserve Bianca, Katie or any girl for that matter. I used to love both Drianca and Krew; I couldn’t pick a side. But thanks to Drew, both ships are DEAD to me, as far as I’m concerned.
Anyway, it’s clear that Krew is coming to an end, Drianca is going to happen again(perhaps even be endgame) and Katie eventually ends up with Jake. Okay, that’s all fine and dandy except for one thing……the PROMO made it look like Bianca is going to steal Drew from Katie and basically laugh in her face about it, which will inevitably piss Katie off and lead to her destroying Bianca’s car and possibly fist-fighting her.
Sounds like a FUN storyline but I just don’t like what that will do to Bianca’s character if it goes down THAT way. I LOVE Bianca; Hollaback Girl made me love her even more because she was all about doing the right thing no matter how much she loved Drew. Are the writers willing to throw away all of Bianca’s positive character development just to reunite Drianca? I hope not. There BETTER be some twist in this story that doesn’t make Bianca look like the “villain”. For real, I just DO NOT want to hate her again. I really don’t. Drew is just toxic, man.
Katie is probably the most hated girl on the show right now, second to Marisol. (Personally, I love both Katie and Marisol <33)
Drianca's fanbase trumps the Krew fanbase by a LANDSLIDE. (Personally, I LOVED(past tense) Drianca and Krew).
I mean no disrespect, I'm just keeping it real. The writers are ONCE AGAIN catering to the desires of their fangirl viewers. Many(not all) fangirls wouldn't give a damn if Drew and Bianca flat-out KILLED Katie, dumped her body in a river somewhere and sped off into the sunset as fugitive romantic lovers like the "Bonnie and Clyde of Degrassi". As long as Drianca's back together, THAT'S what matters to them at the end of the day. LOL and everyone thinks Eclare's fangirls are bad.
If anyone still supports Drianca, that's fine. I can't and won't judge them for it. But is it REALLY worth demonizing a strong, beautiful character like Bianca? Not to be condescending, but if they really consider Bianca their favorite character, how could they NOT want someone who's better for her than Drew?

I think too many people are ready to jump down Katie’s throat when in reality it’s not her fault that Drew can’t be faithful. I don’t understand why Bianca wants him again when she’s doing fine without him. Katie out of the three is the real victim in all of this then Bianca, both struggling to overcome their issues and Drew is just in the middle catering to each girl when necessary. I think b/c of Hollaback Girl more people are willing to side with Bianca than Katie, despite Bianca having done far worse things that Katie. I think if Bianca really wants to be with a cheater that will drop her again when he feels like it and not care about what she’s going through, then be my guest. This whole thing is just reminding me why I never liked Drew in the first place. I appreciate his recent character development and I appreciate him being a good brother (when, yanno, he’s not befriending people who bully said brother…), but beyond that, I don’t get the appeal AT ALL. I can’t think of a less attractive character for two girls to be potentially fighting over.

Totally with you on that. No one is talking about Drew can’t stay committed to a girl for more than a hot minute (he’s dumped every girl just when they got serious). I mean, no girl has to work hard to steal him away. He’d probably still dump Katie for Bianca even if she hadn’t said she still had feelings for him, or he would have gone for the next hot chick to come along. That’s why neither girl needs to waste their time. Why does this show always have these girls falling all over themselves to be with total douches? Katie never served as a problem to me on Degrassi. In the beginning I enjoyed her character and I liked how she seemed like a regular teenager. Although, this is Degrassi we’re talking about, so something had to go wrong somehow. I didn’t like how they turned her character from a fun-loving, soccer playing, smart class president to a character with a drug problem. In all honesty I think the writers almost ruined her character, and I have made that assumption due to the promo above. Destroying someone else’s property? Picking fights with Bianca? None of those things seem like classic Katie. I understand that characters will have to change to be dynamic, but I believe the writers lost focus of Katie’s true moral character. It’s almost unbelievable to me! From the looks of season 12, Katie looks like she’s going to continue downhill… I guess my only hope is a well written story-line that will somehow make me believe that I am seeing the true Katie on screen.

I find it very hard to believe that Bianca will steal Drew back after Hollaback Girl. I think that Drew will finally dump Katie and start dating Bianca in private, but someone finds out (Marisol maybe?) and tells Katie, who goes batshit and breaks Bianca’s car.
