TeenNick’s has started promoting its summer plans, which consists of more water than the Pacific Ocean (H2O and new show Alien Surf Girls). The good news about TeenNick’s “Psyched For Summer,” which begins on Tuesday May 29th, is that there will be sneak peeks of Degrassi Season 12 scattered throughout the next several weeks…so those of you who have TeenNick keep your eyes peeled!

Looking foward for the Degrassi newbies and their stories. What Im not looking foward to is the cringe wothy Fimogen and Eclare. Im sorry Im just not a fan. I just wish they let Eli and Clare move on and date other people. I hope Clare gets much need therapy for her troubles at home. I just can’t wait for the new Katie. Looking foward for Eli bunting heards with this new girl Becky. Oh can’t forget the hocky team thats suppose to start a ruckus.

i agree about fimogen. the whole thing is terrible IMO. i don’t understand why a ridiculously random, zero chemistry relationship has so many fangirls. also imogen has zero development and i used to love fiona but she feels out of place now, and her having a crush on imogen is so ridiculously unbelievable.

Eli can date whoever the Degrassi writers choose. Eli and Clare may not even get back together. Plus there are more incredible characters that are on this show too. You never know Becky may be a fantastic person.

I can understand why Fiona would like Imogen, personally. At the very beginning of the second half of the season, Fiona was so concerned about how her new peers would view her, and it was dangerous for her sobriety. With Imogen, those worries are gone. She can let her hair down and be goofy and playful, and know that she has someone who thinks the world of her.
While I agree that the coupling has been rushed, unfortunately, that’s what you get with senior students, whose tenure on the show is drawing to a close. The lack of development with Imogen with regards to the relationship is sad, but that was likely a deliberate act on the writers’ parts, because they wanted to keep Imogen’s reaction to Fiona’s crush confession a surprise.

I agree. I can also see why Fimogen works. Imogen is like this uplifting and positive energy that someone like Fiona needs to be around. While Fiona tends to keep Imogen grounded and more realistic. They have different personalities, but they compliment each other. While I think Fimogen is a big step up from Fiona/Charlie, Imogen really DOES need some character development. I really hope there’s an upcoming episode that’s just told from her perspective of things. I don’t see how the couple was rushed in terms that the writers showing signs that Imogen may have liked Fiona even before Fiona liked her (episode “Underneath it All” part one, anyone?) They took a while building their friendship over a season which is a lot longer than most couples the show tends to throw together. However, the actual confession and kiss seemed sudden after Fiona adamently hid her feelings for Imogen for so long. I just hope that Fimogen has a really good storyline coming up.

lmao i hate H2o and dance academy too degrassi is the only show i watch on teennick. What i did enjoy was south of nowhere moesha ogrady and even mysocalledlife

Dance Academy is good for what it is, a light teen-oriented drama that’s pretty realistic, and actually gets better in the second season which is already available on Netflix. But what I find strange is that Teennick picks up all of these Australian shows instead of coming up with more original programming like South of Nowhere. They need more shows like that.
