Today is the first official day of filming for Season 12 of Degrassi! As of now, the tentative premiere date for Season 12 is still Monday, July 9th. The one major thing I’m hoping improves in Season 12 is the strength of the writing in Part 1 episodes. So far in Season 11 they’ve been pretty weak…all of the heavy lifting is done in Part 2 episodes. It’s to the point where you’re almost better off just waiting the next day (or the next week) to watch Part 1 and Part 2 episodes back to back. Though Part 2 hasn’t aired yet as of me writing this, Not Ready To Make Nice Pt. 1 is a great example of a very strong Part 1 episode.

And ITA about the Part 1 episodes. They need to be written stronger and with more powerful cliffhangers.

Well, I actually do care about the cover and they’ve really been slacking off in that area. Season 8 was the worst; it looked like some Photoshop 101 group project.

Finally some decent(sounding) bonus features on the box sets! I could really care less about season 10’s BONUS WEBISODES and BLOOPER REELS. And the cover is actually an improvement. However, I hope the actual engineering of the box sets is 100% better. Them stacking two discs (each disc having like five hrs, not good for the quality of the DVD) on top of each other and not labeling which disc is which was pathetic in Season 10 Part 2’s set. AND PLEASE NO DOUBLE SIDED DISCS! That is all (:

Kary, do you think that clare and eli will get back together at the end of this season? I feel as though the break up of eli and claire was just to make viewers keep watching until they get together again.

It’s really hard to tell right now, but I’m thinking they won’t this season. If not this season though, definitely before Eli graduates.
