HOW TO GET TICKETS

If you plan on going to one of these events, it is absolutely imperative that you RSVP QUICKLY to get your tickets. They are FREE, but they are on a first come, first served basis…so if you wait around you will be out of luck. HERE IS THE LINK TO WHERE YOU RSVP FOR TICKETS: http://www.gofobo.com/rsvp/landing/5027751

If you don’t have a gofobo account, sign up for one, then RSVP for your event. Once you do you’ll have access to a ticket that you have to print out and take with you to the viewing party. They WILL NOT let you into the event without a ticket!!! Currently you can only RSVP for the event in California and Washington DC…The NY/NJ, Chicago and Washington DC screenings are officially sold out. There are no RSVP passes for the Minnesota screening, all know need to do is be one of the first 400 people in line when they begin giving out wristband.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE ACTUAL VIEWING PARTIES

The viewing parties are very simple: You’re gonna get to watch the premiere of Degrassi 11.5 before anyone else!!!! Then afterward, there will be a Q&A session with the cast. One piece of advice: GET THERE AS EARLY AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE. Just like the tickets, seating at the event is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Just because you have a ticket, it doesn’t mean you’re gonna get in. Like what gofobo does with free movie screenings, they’re giving out more passes than there are actual seats in order to make sure the event is filled to capacity. So if you decide show up like 30 minutes before it starts and there’s a long ass line, don’t be surprised if they turn you away. Get there super early in the day, and you may be able to snag a seat right up front…better safe than sorry!

EVENT RULES

Below is a sample of what your ticket should look like. When you present it at the door they’ll scan it. Don’t bother trying to copy my ticket and pass it off as yours because I canceled my RSVP and it’s now void:

You have to have a ticket in order to get in….no excuses (unless you’re with the press).

TeenNick has finally specified the rules about cameras/smartphones and says you are allowed to bring them (so disregard the camera rules on the ticket). I assume they’ll still be strict on piracy while you’re watching the actual episode…if not, then I guess that means they’re ok with you recording the full episode then posting it online for the rest of us to see before it airs on tv.  Someone was asking if the cast will have a place set up where they’ll be taking pictures with fans…I’m not sure. Now that the camera rules have been clarified it’s sounds possible!

Below are the guidelines for the Minneapolis screening (click on the image to see a larger version):

Haha – same here. I just hope they schedule DC on Sunday instead of Friday, because all the weeknight events start at 6 PM – there is NO WAY I’ll be able to get there early enough with all the traffic in that direction during rush hour

^ The DC tickets go on sale next Wednesday… I’m REALLY hoping it’s on either the 14th or the 19th. My sister said she’ll take me as long as it’s not on the 17fh, because that’s the day her dad gets heart surgery!!

You NEED a ticket to get in, but even if your city has sold out of tickets there will be ways to win tickets from the Degrassi Facebook page.

Looks like gofobo added more tickets for the NY/NJ M&G, as I type this. They better add more for the other M&Gs to be fair.

The gobo website says that for dc, it is a first come first serve thing, and that tickets do not guarantee entrance. So do I need a ticket or not?

What’s up with the “v.I.p.” passes and giveaways? How is that different than the gofobo passes

    Like

They’re not. They’re doing giveaways calling them “VIP” because there’s no gofobo passes left, so they’re the only way to get passes now
