I wouldn’t expect this special to air before late October. There’s been virtually no promotion since the finale and TeenNick doesn’t start doing so hardcore until about a month before. Yes, them and Much Music will air it at the same time.
Also, as I type this the cast is at a readthrough for the episodes Can’t Tell Me Nothing (1134/1135) and Not Ready To Make Nice (1136/1137):

& personally I dont care for Jess or Sadies character because they havent done anything but I would rather have people who are already on the show become regulars then them bring in more new people. they are only irrelevant because they are not regulars and are just used as side characters obviously.

Side characters like Mo and Liam? I find these to guys more relatable and likable than Sadie and Jess combined. It’s just my opinion, I guess. I don’t know, I’m actually starting to like Dave. Marisol; on the other hand, has done nothing for me to like her. Right now, she’s a Chantay character that has dated a guy, who’s in another relationship and has a child and backstabbed her “BFF” by telling the school that she is bulimic. She’s nothing to me. But every school has that boy-crazed, backstabbing bitch, right?

Here’s my two cents on Now or Never vs. the Boiling Point. I thought the Boiling Point had better music. I downloaded most of the songs from last season. I only downloaded two from Now or Never. Also the ending to Now or Never was very predictable. After watching the first episode, you knew that the summer finale would have something to do with Drew and the gang. On the other hand, after watching the first episode of the Boiling Point, there’s no way you could have guessed that the finale was going to involve a near stabbing of Eli.

I didn’t even think of that, but you’re right, there was no predicting that a possible Eli death could be involved in the finale until the Fitz/Eli war began.

I liked how Now or Never started off intense, as opposed to relying on the finale too much like The Boiling Point did.
I actually almost wish they had ended it with Take a Bow. The shooting seemed like too much too soon. I’m afraid they are going to now to try to top it every year until Degrassi blows up into a million pieces.

If Degrassi gets cancelled after Season 12 (it better not!), I have no doubt in my mind the school will utterly explode with everyone in it in that finale. They never give up on the violence, do they?

I think the fourth niner’s name is Ry, Ty (unlikely), or Sky. So apparently he likes shortening it! LOL. Ty is unlikely though since that was Kenna’s son. And that means it could be Ryan or Skylar. Either way I’m excited! Everyone is there!

Also, I think as far as quality of storylines, Now or Never has been superior. I enjoyed the Boiling Point’s lighter tone though. I’ve found myself not rewatching a good amount of Now or Never episodes because they’re just so damn depressing, haha.

ugh okay quick post about a few topics
1. I know where the Clare Edwards topic is going, “SHE’S A HOT BOYCRAZY MESS”
2. I preferred the Boiling Point because I felt it was more genuine to Classic Degrassi (High and even early TNG). Not every plot had these ridiculous overly dramatic tone that most of Now or Never had. Also Now or Never (like someone else said) was too predictable in comparison to Boiling Point that ended in the Lockdown, the fake stabbing, and uniforms and all that crazy stuff.
3. Right now I feel Degrassi needs to scale it back a bit to the Boiling Point magic because at that point the show was still very entertaining without going overboard on the drama, random breakups after barely even going out, etc. It also got it’s message across in the episodes it needed to like My Body is a Cage, Purple Pills, What a Girl Wants( just to name a few of the more heavier topic episodes) while retaining fun in C plots and what not.
4. The gang plot and the Kenna plot were probably the two strongest plots all Season however everything else was subpar.

I feel you on scaling back, but I think Degrassi was due for another “darker” season, they haven’t had one since S7 (Darcy’s rape, Spinner’s cancer, etc.).

this season was ok the gang storyline was great clare`s was WAY overdone eli`s was excalent (pardon my speling) i loved anyas storyline the kenna baby storyline only impresed me aftr baby tyson fell and after jenna hit KC with the guitas i loved “mr. Britghside” it was by far my favorite episode i like how it focused on drew not the band i also loved the bianca plot with vince when she tried selling drugs to imogen i like how it gave us a preview of what bianca was going threw the graduation episode was OK the shooting was good until the shot then in got boring but part 1 of dead and gone was great

I know the boy in one of the new niners introduced when Bianca and Drew were giving the school tour thing. I’m going to guess the girl is another niner? Maya? I don’t know what she looks like, so I could be wrong.
