I thought the plot sounded pretty stupid also, but the promo changed my mind. The thought of Marisol proving more why she’s arguably one of the most annoying characters on the show and room for some friendship and/or character development for Katie and Marisol sounds good.. I just wish that they weren’t fighting over Drew..

I honestly think this episode looks amazing..it looks like they’re gonna be in a total cat fight and you know that would be interesting..I just hope Katie becomes a bitch. That would seal it. Like when she says “you’re dead to me.” I bet she’s gonna prove to be a really good bitch.

It’s always the beginning, but it kind of makes sense to do it at the end of the school year to prep for the new school year. I actually don’t remember how we did it in HS. I just remember always hating the candidates, since it was basically a popularity contest. No one out of the popular clique ever ran.

Sav and Miss Oh are HOT. Seriously, HOT. I really wish they didn’t hold out on us for this long, but they have one of the better storylines right now. I just wish we had more of a chance to see them develop further.

Jenna had the line of the night: “Yeah, she it is!” in response to Marisol’s claim she wasn’t a homewrecker.I loved how they randomly threw Jenna into that scene. Perfect.

I still didn’t feel much between Katie and Marisol, especially because they are fighting over Drew. I really enjoyed Katie when she first started, but ever since then, she’s drastically gone downhill. I wish I had one of them to root for, but I really don’t even know them. If it was Katie vs. Jenna, maybe I’d be more inclined to choose a side, but as it stands now, I’m Team Mo!!

We get it. Jake likes plaid. Stop trying to dress him like he’s the Brawny man.

Ehhhhhhh didn’t really like tonight’s episode. I mean I guess I’ll have to wait until tomorrow’s episode to really judge, but none of the plots were very appealing to me.

Katie’s acting is so wooden >.< And like others have said, I don't see the point of a love triangle if we can't sympathize with either side :P

Mo is a really funny character lol

I think this episode proved that Katie isn’t the “bitch” everyone made her out to be, in this episode we see she isn’t in full control like she was with Clare, Adam, and Drew.

    And Mo…is the man!

WHAT KIND OF SCHOOL HAS A TAEKWON DO CLASS? HOW ARE THE GRADED ON THIS? NOT TO MENTION IT TAKES AT LEAST 6 YEARS TO MASTER A MARTIAL ART. WHEN DO THEY HAVE TIME FOR THIS AND HOW DO THEY HAVE THE SPACE? IS THE SCHOOL HELD ACCOUNTABLE IF SOMEONE IS INJURED OR ACCIDENTALLY KILLED? WHY WOULD A SCHOOL WITH A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY ON VIOLENCE HAVE THIS? IS THIS A SCHOOL OR THE YMCA? This just baffles me, sorry for the caps.

They also seem to have a recording studio (a good 20k right there), about 14k worth of instruments, the resources to make Rude Goldberg machines(which includes a WATER VALVE), the money to print out tee shirts for class president (my school didn’t even use flyers), those hi def tvs all over the place outside the classroom, and an endless amount of resources. Looks like all those fundraisers paid off. I get that its a wealthy school but its starting to get ridiculous, the previous seasons felt like a real school, this feel like plot contrived locations high.

As far as the episode goes
    A) I don’t really know Katie or Marisol so I don’t really feel anything
    B) If Ms Oh liked every guy who likes music and could write a song for her, she seems kind of easy
    C) Meh, nothing really happened with Eli

Maybe its because I’ve been in the position of having a ‘best’ friend step all over me in order to get with the guy I liked (in this case, my boyfriend -____-) I sympathize with Marisol, she liked Drew first and unless Katie is 100% sure that’s the man she was gonna marry, she should back-off Drew…Jenna stole the plot today! I’m glad they called out Marisol for her homewrecking! Katies started the ‘secret’ spilling (was KC cheating a secret?!) so she has to take what was dished out! Other than that..the episode was pretty boring tonight, can’t wait to see how it unfolds tomorrow though.

I wish Katie would become less robot! She didn’t even seem fazed by her and Marisol’s fighting. She kept droning on in that robot-voice blah,blah,blah..Katies doesn’t have a personality IMO

Ok so tonight’s episode was better than I expected, that being said I had little to no expectations for this plot.

Marisol/Katie/Drew- Overall I think my initial skepticism about this plot was valid but there were moments that proved me wrong. I’d initially forgotten that Marisol and Drew went on a date back in season 10 so I thought the continuity of Marisol having a crush on him since then was a nice touch by the writers. That being said, I wasn’t sold on it, perhaps because Drew has had 2 girlfriends since then and Marisol has had at least one hookup that we know of-why would she still even care about Drew? I know that when you’re young a crush can be a big deal, but I never got an “epic crush” vibe from Marisol & Drew. This part of the plot really doesn’t work for me b/c as someone mentioned on here before I don’t care about Marisol or Katie because I don’t know them. This is an instance when a reboot of something doesn’t work, this storyline was better the first time around when it was Manny/Peter/Emma.
Also sometimes I really can’t get over how dumb Drew is…you don’t know what facetious means? Read an SAT book! Also the plot was so inactive, most of the storyline Marisol kept confronting each other over and over again in the hallway saying the same thing. It didn’t become semi interesting until the end when Marisol finally told Drew Katie had an eating disorder. I’ll be ready for this plot to wrap up by tomorrow.

Sav & Ms. Oh- This plot is still strange for me, I guess b/c it came completely out of left-field and there is almost no chemistry b/t the actors. Seriously their going to express all of their emotions for one another through cheesy, poorly written, love songs? It was like watching a rejected audition tape for Glee. In truth there is really nothing steamy about a plot like this which kind of ruins the entire essence of a taboo student-teacher relationship. Also because we know Sav is graduating there is little incentive for us to care about this relationship as we know it won’t last beyond the end of Now or Never. When Paige dated a teacher there was tension b/c we didn’t know where their storyline would end up, they had time. This plot just seems like a last ditch effort to give Raymond a main plot before graduation, wish they could have come up with something better for such a loved character. I would’ve preferred to see a mini-reunion b/t him and Holly J than this.

Eli- I cannot stress enough how happy I am that we have a diagnosis for Eli! I am so glad that we can start to deal with the root of his character’s issues. I love that the Eli/Fiona interaction is continuing and it may have been my imagination but it seemed as though they shared a moment towards the beginning of the ep. when he apologized to her. It was the first time I seriously though that they may have some sort of love story in the future, reminiscent of Ellie and Marco’s one night of passion. Since Fiona isn’t graduating this year I am really excited to see their friendship continue. Now onto what I was not so enthused about….why is Eli trying so hard to fix things with Jake? And OMG again we have him inserting himself into Jake and Clare’s relationship. This new Eli who feels the need to atone for everything reminds me of Spinner after Jimmy was shot, Spinner was desperate and trying too hard and that’s how Eli seems right now. Hopefully his character will get to the point where he can stop meddling and just focus on himself.

Jake/Clare/Eli- I thought the argument b/t Cake was actually pretty believable because it echoed what so many of us have been saying since the start of their relationship- they have nothing in common! Minus the divorced parents. I hope that Cake doesn’t last beyond Now or Never b/c with Eli hopefully no longer trying to win back Clare there is no point in continuing their relationship. I think Eli trying to help Jake win over Clare is going to backfire and perhaps cause even more tension b/t the couple, which will hopefully result in Eli just leaving them alone.

All in all I was surprised that this ep. managed to hold my attention the entire time.

Just remembered something else I wanted to add about the Sav and Ms. Oh plot in comparison to Paige and Mr. O (the O teacher thing is really funny to me for some reason lol). Part of why it’s so hard for me to buy into Sav and Ms. Oh as a pairing is b/c I don’t understand Ms. Oh’s motivations for being attracted to Sav. For Sav it’s a no brainer she’s a hot music teacher but Ms Oh. is a hot, young, talented musician whose travelled with cool bands across the country- she seriously couldn’t find a sexy drummer or lead singer to makeout with?

Paige and Mr. O made more sense b/c Mr. O was kind of a loser, he had a crummy apartment, was kind of shuffling around in life and lacked ambition. Paige was attractive to him because she was the hot, queen-bee, powersquad captain (it’s cliche but the fantasy works here). I understood how the two could fall into a relationship and they also had the benefit of time on their side.

Sorry for the extra rambling, these thoughts just came to mind and I wanted to share
      : )

loving the fiona/eli friendship. glad they’re covering bipolar disorder, we havent seen that since craig.

also, despite what anyone says about the katie marisol plot, marisol is a very good actress. the class president speech was classic degrassi at its best. (Points for Katie for calling marisol out on being a homewrecker!) hopefully this plot ends with a full out cat fight hair pulling and all. the scene with katie and drew on the steps and in taekwondo class was cute. Im starting to see them as a believable couple.

There is no chemistry between Katie and Drew at all. The delivery by Luke Bilyk of the “I don’t like you, I need you line,” was just dreadful.

    However.

I like the segue from a rivalry between friends to a focus on an eating disorder. Katie’s very much a tight-ass, type A control freak, so it makes perfect sense for her to feel the need to control her eating. The comment about Drew’s burger and the fact that she spends her lunches working on the paper were also nice hints of what is to come.

I actually like the different approach to Katie’s ED. While I feel a little cheated by not seeing the development of her problem, the fact that we’ve learned it’s something she has struggled with for some time, and that we have seen the effects it has on her personality (see above) before finding out about it, makes it feel more realistic, unlike Emma’s two-episode bulimia. We are given the impression that Katie has a long history with this, and that it didn’t just pop up because the writers needed to give her a story.

I sincerely hope that the bulimia isn’t resolved tomorrow night, and that it remains in the background while Katie is given other plots. I’d like to see it stay quiet, but then have it “flare up” from time to time, so that the writers are able to show how entrenched she is in it before it gets so bad that she needs professional help.

Kind of disappointed that they gave Eli the bipolar diagnosis. I know many fans of the current show weren’t watching when Craig was around, but there are so, so many mental illnesses that really need to be brought to light. A lot of people were banking on the schizophrenia diagnosis and Imogen being “imaginary,” but I think exploring the condition would be beneficial because apparently most people don’t have a clue what schizophrenia is really like. Hint: it’s not about having imaginary people in your life. So many issues to address, seems a shame to do a repeat.

this episode was weak af! not only was i bored but annoyed the whole time

i no longer like marisol the whole agurement was petty she wasnt even thinking about drew until now so it was stupid. in she was going so hard on katie and katie just wanted to be her friend still smh . when she hit a low blow about her problem, i was done with her no matter how upset i might get with a friend i will never blantley try to hurt them and thats what she did and i hate catty femlaes like that

the homeworker comment- lame af i must be blind because i still dont see how she wrecked anyone home..hell you cant break nothing that wasnt already broken. how can you blame her for kc cheating. if he was so fucking in love with jenna and had a happy home he would have been there and wouldnt even gave two thoughts about marisol( i.e drew dissing her ass the whole episode) and jenna of alll people throwing shots!.. kc didnt even have to buy her an mp3 for her to be all on his sac and what make jenna case even worst she was friends with the girl who man she took .. why is jenna still at the school ? shes pointless..

sav and ms oh- boring af i thought i was watching a corny verison of high school musical. like someone said why is ms oh even into sav alright but he kinda dorky theres nothing interesting about him.. that song was weak af that sav and ms oh wrote ms oh. suppose to be this low key girl gone wild but she acted just as corny as sav today .. if you find any female teachers who got caught banging they students it was usually the trouble makers . aint nothing exciting about what sav do theres no lust in this its just blah the kiss was blah the scenero was blah.. i rather seen anya sniffin kilos of coke then watch that mess they had on my screen tonight

the only bright spot for this episode was the eli/ fiona interaction every other plot gets a thumbs down

all and all marisol and katie are NFF moe will win the election

I’m loving Mo. He’s a wonderful sidekick to Sav, and I love how naturally funny he is. The way Katie and Jenna both called out Marisol was brilliant, but Mo making a joke out of the whole thing was perfection. Thank God this guy’s a junior, I think I’m going to enjoy having him around for a few seasons. He is what Jake should’ve been if Jake wasn’t thrown with Clare.

Speaking of Cake, THANK YOU WRITERS for acknowledging they have virtually nothing in common. I feel the end of Cake nearing…

So Eli’s bipolar? Wow, they really do want him to be the next Craig Manning… I’m personally disappointed, I thought for sure he’d have borderline personality disorder. There were so many routes the writers could’ve taken with mental disorder, and they’re just choosing to reinvent another perspective of bipolar disorder? Way to be creative, writers. Degrassi has such an influence on youth culture that it’s a shame they won’t show other mental disorders adolescents struggle with. That said, I’m glad Eli’s been diagnosed and he’s planning to apologize to everyone he’s hurt. I cannot believe that’s going to include helping mend Cake though. That won’t turn out well…

Can’t believe Sav and Ms. Oh are already going to get busted before they ever really began, gah. And here I was hoping they’d beat out the Paige/Oleandor student-teacher relationship. Sav is an underrated character, and I think he deserves better than a semi-mediocre relationship plot.

I think that Katie and Drew should go slow and learn more about each other before seriously dating. I think Marisol was being a bitch and honestly, if a guy doesn’t like you and he likes your friend you get over it. She seems overly whiny and annoying for no reason.
As far as the election goes I hope Mo wins! He’s become one of my favorite characters just because of his random connections to plots. He really adds a lot to some of the less-intriguing plots.
Sav and Ms. Oh are boring. So, they both like music and all of a sudden are in love. Wow. No words to explain how much this plot annoys me. At least Mo was part of it though.
I feel bad for Eli because he wants to get better and wants to be normal, but Jake is so stupid and won’t forgive him. I guess I understand Jake a little, but he doesn’t even listen to Eli before telling him he pretty much hates him.
