Because Much Music has more than one current show running on their network, they’re already promoting the heck out of their summer lineup which includes Teen Wolf, Pretty Little Liars and Degrassi. I’m guessing that Fiona isn’t graduating with Holly J as she isn’t in a gown and Adam getting into a fight is how they are going to take on the physical side of being transgendered.
I’m thinking that maybe Dave loses a bet or something and has to wear girl’s clothes to school. Adam takes it offensively (or maybe Dave makes a comment about it) and they get into it. Either Dave or Mr.Simpson make a comment about not fighting Adam becasue he’s FTM which makes him even more upset.
Just a thought.

I do not know what Adam and Dave are fighting about. But I hope he did not make fun of or hurt Adam, because I kind of like Dave. And Dave will ruin himself for me if he does do that because I LOVE Adam.

There’s been talk that Fiona is staying behind due to her time spent at rehab. It’s also been a while since we’ve seen a character stay behind at Degrassi. And Fiona’s been such a joy to watch this season! She’s just coming into her own. She was barely there in season 9, so I really hope that Annie Clark is staying behind for a little longer. I want to see her get more involved in the lesbian community. Marco navigated the crap out of the gay male community (going to gay clubs, dating multiple guys, attending pride events at uni, standing up for himself when he was denied giving blood because of his sexuality, wandering around Church Street). Sometimes it was too blatant (like, let’s have Marco involved in a story that doesn’t revolve around his homosexuality), but his involvement in the gay community made his homosexuality feel REAL. I want to see Fiona’s lesbianism delved into more. More than dancing with a girl she’s not even into at a dance, or telling her mom that she’s in love with her best girl friend. I want her to be more than the girl the writers chose to make a lesbian just because they wanted lesbian visibility, and Fiona was the only character who’d had the least amount of luck with guys. The writers have treated their gay male characters so carefully and sincerely, but the lesbians are so tokenized, you know? The writers write these characters as lesbians just to score points with the lesbian community, but they’re not committed to telling their stories fully. It’s as if the writers feel that all they need to do is have a character say she likes girls, and that’s that. Props for visibility, now let’s see sexual tension between Alli and Drew.

While I don’t really want to see Fiona stay behind, this would be the only reason why I would be a little more understanding of it. Though I have to wonder if they could still accomplish the same thing with her at university in Toronto and dating a girl currently at Degrassi, a la Spinner and Jane.

Wow, that comment about Adam is hurtful and ignorant on so many levels. I can understand if you don’t like them, its kinda like how I don’t care about Dave at ALL and wouldn’t mind if he disappeared, but I’m not going to be mean about it and wish he would get beaten up.
Also… Adam is NOT a girl. He is so unfemale, its not funny. The only thing fem about him is the fact that he is stuck in a female body, but your gender–despite popular belief–is not the only thing that labels you “male” or “female”.

How does not liking a character make a comment ignorant and hurtful? For one, these people are indeed fictional characters as someone already pointed out. Secondly, he/she wants Adam to get beat up because said poster does not like the character and seems to like Dave. Again, how is this ignorance? And biologically Adam is a woman. The comment is not “ignorant” as you claim; the poster simply interprets a person’s gender by the biology and not what the person believes in his/her mind. But this is a fictional universe anyway…

@Cody: Do you know the difference between sex and gender? Sex is what you are physically, whereas gender is more what you identify as psychologically.
What you’re talking about is sex, in which Adam is technically a girl because he has female parts. However, most people refer to other people by their gender, not sex, so since Adam identifies psychologically as a male, and he presents himself to society as a male, it’s correct to refer to him as a male. He should only be referred to as a female in the specific case of his sex.
In a way, it would kind of be like if your given name was William, but you prefer to be called Bill because you like the name Bill and hate the name William. You then wouldn’t want someone to call you William only because it’s your given name, would you?

I hope Eli dosnt go out of degrassi cause he is a seniour. At least let him play outside of degrassi right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love Eli and Drew and Bionca and there all graduates!!!!!!!!!!!11 but i hope that they play in degrassi outside of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Their probably making all the new characters like juniors and seniors becuz, sadly, degrassi is most likely coming to an end soon :_( but at least we already know there will be a 12th season :) I say degrassi shud follow in the foot steps of the oprah winfrey show and go on for 25 seasons LOL

Shows keep running until they are canceled and in order to be canceled the show must not make a certain amount of views per week. Also each producer when making a show usually has an idea on how much seasons they want. :)

They still have those bloody uniforms… and Annie with her chode tie hahaha. Looks like she isn’t graduating, which would be an interesting storyline from a character like her, seeing how money can’t fix EVERYTHING and how she’ll feel coming back another year with people she doesn’t know. Also wondering what will ignite the aggression between Dave and Adam… intriguing indeed. Go season 11!

@spongebob: Fiona has always been slightly bigger in stature compared to the other girls.
@Early commenters: I like Adam too but I doubt he could beat Dave.
I don’t think we should jump to conclusions. Who says it wasn’t Adam who started it? Or it could even be a normal clash based on something non-gender related.
