MuchMusic has put out a press release about Degrassi today….
It basically praises Degrassi for, thanks to The Boiling Point, quickly becoming the networks #1 tv series.
The big part though is the episode description for the premiere of Don’t Let Me Get Me on Friday, October 8th:

Okay. I have some things that have been said on Twitter that I’d like for everyone to know. This post is likely gonna have to be split in parts. Now first, about the opening credits: They are saying that only two scenes have been changed, but I doubt it. Don’t be surprised if Peter is edited out and it starts with the freakout and then shows Sav holding the camera(coincidentally the opening ends with Alli holding up a camera phone. Since it can be assumed that Declan returns to Degrassi, his and Fiona’s scene stays presumably the same; with that said, I don’t know what they’ll do with Holly J. Keep in mind that in the 2nd Half of Season 10, a former main character will make an ‘unexpected return.’ Also note that in a past tweet, Stephen Stohn himself confirmed that Jane WAS supposed to be in Season 10. Why she isn’t was never explained, but they didn’t know where to put her, so they had to write her out. Being the only characters with reasonable connections to the current cast, I deem Johnny, Danny, and Jane

i agree with most of what you are saying.. but where has it been confirmed that Fiona/Adam is actually happening? I thought it was just a rumor.. and also it might make sense for Darcy to come back, because Stefan Bogren said she was going to come back in a few seasons, and with the Edwards’ family drama, it would make sense for her.. at least in my opinion!

the top three candidates for a return. There was a shoot similar to the Riley scene earlier on in the year, but with Zane standing in front of Riley with Riley’s hand in the air, waiting to catch the football. That will likely replace the current Riley shot. Also, since Owen is confirmed for the opening credits, and Fitz is coming back, they have probably added a shot of the two of them.

There will be a Halloween special and a Christmas special, which are apparently minis, while Degrassi In India has been confirmed for a TV Broadcast. Stephen Stohn said that he would like to make the next movie a Degrassi Down Under! film. So, maybe they go to Australia for Spring Break?

Onto the characters… Dave holding a tazer gun represents that the Class Reps are now Hall Monitors, and apparently the school board thinks they’ll use them responsibly, but they’re wrong. We get to see Wesley and Anya’s date along with a storyline from Adam/Fiona in When Love Takes Over, which will be a Valentine’s Day special of sorts. Although @FunAdam has said otherwise, he is definitely a Sophomore, which at this rate gives him at least 3 more seasons. As we all know, Clare’s parents are getting divorced, and the titles give me a hunch that she will be seen in all episodes from 37-44. Since one of the new violations is violence, Alli likely gets expelled, but comes back later. And that new goth girl… Maybe she’s a contestant who tricks Jenna into telling her secret, only to use it against her?

Drew/Adam get into a conflict and Bianca punches Alli in the face. We get to meet Eli’s parents and see his girlfriend’s picture. It would make sense for the Sav/HollyJ/Declan thing to take place in Love Lockdown. This half of the season focuses on Riley coming out to his parents. Oh and one more thing? CHANTAY IS FINALLY FREAKING GRADUATING!!! But not until next season…

based on the description i dont think dont let me get me is going to be that great of an episode, well i mean what do u expect it is the first episode rite?? i think its just mainly gonna be about getting everything organized in the sense that there catching u up with whats the deal and what there planing for episodes to come and stuff like that so just warning those of u who are gettin all excited and think the first episode is gonna give away all this information

anyway, i am freaking excited! is it odd that im wicked pumped for jenna’s storline? and i bet that she’ll get a great reaction from the next teen star fans for being pregnant, and then she’ll win. then again, in a promo we see her kinda freaking out next to that blonde contestant girl that we met in the clip. so maybe that girl backstabs jenna by telling everyone that she’s pregnant?

I feel like Jenna is going to hide it because she thinks that being pregnant is sooo bad and everyone will react bad to it but everyone who is watching this Next Star show would be like awww shes pregnant and be all happy and give her sympathy votes which personally is NOT what I want. I would much rather something not good happen to a character and have another in-show star. I would love somethign like a depression storyline.

Yes it’s been confirmed. When someone slyly tweeted Stephen Stohn about the Fiona/Adam relationship, he replied that there is ‘definitely a reason’ why they are in that picture together. Oh and guys? I REALLY think it’s Jane. The reason I think so is because she was supposed to be in the opening credits, but they wrote her out point blank, because they didn’t know where to put her! That is the only reason she’s not on the show. THUS the Fiona/Holly J. Friendship was a back-up plan. Oh and a little bit of FYI? Stephen Stohn said he’s been trying to work out a Degrassi videogame for years, in which he has “many ideas that he needs to work out” before the game can go into some actual development. Also, although the Hot Topic line is completely sold out, you can expect Degrassi apparel in many popular store chains. Coming soon across the nation

He said a person you’ll never expect. If Jane was suppose to be in this season (which I don’t remember anyone ever saying she was) then it’s not very unexpected. I would love to see Jane because I love her character and I miss her but I don’t really see how she fits and I think its just for a guest appearance. Darcy isn’t very unexpected because everyone is expecting her to come back for Clare and because of her parents divorce but at the same time that is unexpected because we haven’t seen her forever. But I doubt Shenae would take time to go back to Degrassi.

Guys there is a Get Ready For Degrassi marathon. Uptown Girl-All Falls Down. Every night starting Friday October 1st from 6-11 PM. And like I said, Stephen Stohn TWEETED about Jane and how they were trying to figure out what to do with her while shooting the opening credits. It was early this year. And yes this unnecessary hate is pointless. You can’t gather a hateful opinion yet. You have to actually watch the show. 10 30-Second Promos isn’t enough. Whether you want to admit it or not, I’m sure we can all see that Gigantic looks like an intriguing show, and you should definitely give it a try. It’s like Degrassi, but all glammed up and stuff. Just watch the pilot! If you don’t like it, move onto something else.
