I know that uniforms suck, but that’s why they are so awesome! (in this case) Conflict and drama is what make Degrassi good. And IMO the uniforms and new rules will provide Degrassi with a new range of situations that they haven’t done before. Of course, its left to be seen how exactly they implemented these new changes into the school.

I was reading on another site that the “goth girl” seen in the promo is not the new mystery character. She’s actually one of the workers from the Next Teen Star competition. She was seen in the Tears Dry on Their Own episode taking Jenna’s paperwork.

I think you might be right. She’s probably either a worker for Next Teen Star or one of the other girls competing for Next Teen Star. Besides, if she went to Degrassi, wouldn’t she have on a uniform like everyone else? It makes more sense that she has something to do with Next Teen Star because she’s talking to Jenna in the promo and then they show Jenna on stage.

I was actually just thinking, as I navigated to this page, how much I like what Kary does on this blog. I think it’s great that he takes the time to put up news as it comes along, so that other fans can just have a one-stop spot to catch up on stuff. And his reviews are always far more insightful than anything else I see people saying about the show online. He actually takes the time to comment on the plotlines and narrative structure, and to hold the episodes to some kind standard beyond just how much drama they can provide. … It’s really too bad there are assholes out there who feel a need to put him down for that.

This new second arc is gonna be great! I think the audience will be able to connect to the characters emotions a little more now with the new rules (we would react the same). And of course the Alli vs. Bianca throw down should be awesome. And I heard an interesting theory about it. Perhaps the scene with Bianca and Alli talking about leaving Degrassi comes before the fight and they decide a fight could get them expelled. So that’s why…idk just a theory.

Creepy twin girls see on Munro’s twitter that he’s gonna be at Wonderland, so they go there and harass his brother, trying to get him to take them to Munro. He won’t, but eventually they find Munro anyway and get their pictures with him. Then he leaves, but they find him AGAIN and bug him some more. While filming the entire thing.
It’s scary. o_o ESPECIALLY their apparent belief that it’s perfectly okay to harass a celebrity’s family members like that. And towards the end, when Munro finally notices the camera (they were trying to hide that they were filming), you can see him giving unnerved looks at it. Poor guy…He needs to hire bodyguards.

I stand by my opinion. I even gave the show an extended shot since it came from one of the Degrassi writers. But I never found anything I could take from it that made it unique. Maybe it was the pacing. It was either super slow and drawn out or super quick with characters drunkenly tumbling to their deaths in the first episode. While watching an episode, I would either roll my eyes or do that WTF? kind of eyebrow raise. But hey, hate me if you will, I won’t really know since you can’t give me a thumbs down anymore. Haha.

@Iamawsome;) … Actually, I really think that the fact that we get new characters all the time is what keeps Degrassi alive. It’s a really smart narrative choice, in my opinion: most teenage dramas follow a group of kids, and then the kids grow up and move on from high school … and if you’re going to keep the story going, you have to come up with all sorts of increasingly awkward ways of following them to college and into life and somehow keeping them all together… and it just gets ridiculous. If you think about it, Degrassi creators made a brilliant choice by deciding to follow the school, rather than any one set of characters. It allows us to spend several years with a given group of kids but at the same time, with each year, slowly transition into the next set of people that will matter to us in the scale of the storyline. And yeah, people move on from the story but there’s still a continuity — the way we’re now following younger siblings of people we used to follow, etc. I don’t know, I’m not making myself very clear because it’s late and I’m tired. But I think it’s one of the most interesting things about the way Degrassi works, that they’ve figured out a way to move us through all these different characters as time goes by.

And they ALL play a couple on the show (except James, obviously, who was filmed with Munro and Ais and later ended up “competing” with Munro for Ais). I mean, I GUESS you could assume Fiona and Jordan were just interviewed together for convenience’s sake, but that’s what everyone assumed about Charlotte and Ray, and guess what? They ended up going out. So it seems likely something will happen. :) Especially since Annie has been filming with Jordan, Ais and Munro a lot lately.

I think Alli/Adam is a little farfetched, especially since Alli is still going through all the Drew drama. I’m not saying that you guys who think they may have a thing are wrong, but the fact that they have a scene together where they are smiling at each other really isn’t enough proof for me.
To me, Adam is going to be use as messenger between Alli and Drew, cause I don’t think Drew would give up on getting Alli back. I also think that Adam will defend Alli in some way, maybe agaisnt Drew? Maybe against Bianca? It could be the reason why Adam and Drew fight. Adam may not approve of something Drew did or is going to do. of course this is all speculation.

Anyone know when they coming to Phoenix? I’ll seriously cut class to meet these people… Hehe in all seriousness, I know this ain’t the place to talk about what I’m going to talk about, what I just went through is like the reverse initial PeterxMia chat if that makes any sense to yall. What happened with me tonight was just like that, except it was the girl that was screwed around with. I was chilling as I usually do Saturday evenings, drinking koolaid, eating tacos (maybe flan), and listening to some music on youtube when my boy came in with this girl. They were talking and everything and it all seemed to go well. A couple shots of 80 proof (!) Smirnoff and he went Cassanova mode, started finishing her sentences and overall just being a jackass. She was cool with it at first because she was buzzed, but then it wore off and once she realized what was happening, she was upset and grew increasingly upset. Cassanova didn’t let up and this was around the time I heard them because they were talking about football (UCLA WHOOPED Houston’s ass, hell yeah! U-C-L-A!!!)
I stepped in and started talking about football. She had said numerous times about her stances, something typical Cassanovas do not care to remember. Anyways, Cassanova left with my brother, and I was left to talk with this girl. She seemed to yearn for someone to listen to what she had to say and so I stepped up and started listening because I love listening (next to writing fics, listening/observing are 2 great qualities of mine). She told me ALOT about herself, talking about her issues and whatnot. Eventually what happens is that she is so overcome with stress she tells me, she starts to cry and it crushes me. Not ever seeing this girl before tonight, the best I could do was put my arm around her and tell her that its okay, thats its all going to be okay. I say what I needed to say and when she leaves, she hugs me and thanks me for not being a Cassanova, for not being one of those typical dogs. I’m happy that I was able to make her smile and relieve some of her stress because she was holding on to all of that stress for so long, which is not fair to her or anyone that has to shoulder all of that. She seems to want to keep in touch with me, which is great. :)
Thats all I have to say about that, share your thoughts if you wish. Sorry to all my friends on here for not posting so much, school is rendering my hands incapable to commenting more.

because he was a douche bag that ran away and let ger get arrested for spray painting a factory..then he refused to attend court with her and she got pissed cuz it was his idea to spray paint and he didnt even help her get to away form the cops…basically she just tired of all his bullshit!

Stephen’s currently on twitter, answering questions. Hurry up and ask him something if you need to, before he leaves! Here’s what he’s said so far:
-We will see Eli’s mom and dad. They’re, quote, “unusual.”
-He hinted that someone is going to die. It could just be him being dramatic, though…
-“Someone unexpectedly returns.” I wonder if it’s Darcy, since Clare tweeted about her awhile back? Or is this just referring to Fitz, who Annie already confirmed is returning? XD
-Upon being asked if there will be any episodes about Julia: “All I can say is: we will see her picture…” The way Stephen phrased this infers that there’s definitely more to this that he’s not telling us. I’m REALLY hoping she isn’t going to make an appearance as the “suddenly no longer dead girlfriend,” because…Yeah. Then there’d officially be no hope for Degrassi. <_<
Actually, he was also asked, in jest, if a new Degrassi mini would have the cast as ninjas. His response was: "Or even scarier…" So I thought about it for a moment, and the first "scary" thing that came to me was ghosts. So now I'm wondering if we might have Julia appear as a ghost in one of the minis. Which would be fucking awesome – as long as she never appears in the actual show.

So, things we know for sure now:
-Fiona’s days of self-medicating are far from over.
-Drew and Adam have a confict.
-Drew and Alli heat up.
-Adam’s getting some romance.
-The first night/episode will be “very interesting” for Jenna.
-Fitz returns.
-We will see Eli’s mom and dad.
-We will see Julia’s picture.
-Someone unexpectedly returns.

It sounds like Julia is either not really dead or maybe we will see her in flashbacks/hallucinations. I am even more certain now that this Alexandria Benoit girl is going to be playing Julia on the show.

on a random note, i really want degrassi to do a schizophrenia storyline. i’ve been thinking about this lately because my best friend has been struggling with depression lately, and has been cutting because she’s hears voices telling her to. i’ve always sort of complained that nothing interesting or dramatic ever seems to happen in my life, but i’ve realized that my life is suddenly like an episode of degrassi. i feel like holly j in puple pills (except, of course, my friend has different issues than fiona). anyway, comparing my life to degrassi made me want degrassi to do a storyline like this. or any schizophrenia storyline, really. especially since that is a mental illness that usually emerges during adolescence. anyone agree?

I’m so pumped for the second half!! I didn’t think it was all that in the begining but once Stefan gave away all that info I’m all for it now! Wow makes me wonder what else is gonna happen that we don’t no about I wonder what he means by “unusual” when describing eli’s parents and o boy were gonna see a pic of Julia!!!!! I’m with gorgeous on the whole someone unexpectedly shows up again I think it’s Darcy

I saw it earlier. I’m not sure how people got it, but I’m glad. I don’t plan on watching any leaked episodes other than this clip for the rest of the season.
