So something pretty awesome happened today…Erin (Degrassi-Fans), Gregg (Degrassi Nation) and I got the chance to have a meeting with Abby Ho from Epitome Pictures (the company the creates Degrassi)!!
Basically Abby’s job is keeping track of the show’s press and publicity, as well as coming up with ideas and producing interactive online content.One of the cool ideas they’ve come up with is for the characters on the show to have twitter pages. Now these are COMPLETELY different from the twitters that the actual actors have. These character twitters are an extension of the characters, and they’ll be tweeting with each other and tweeting stuff related to their storylines and other stuff happening on the show. It’s a unique way to extend the show right into the middle of us in the twitter universe.
There’s only three so far: Holly J, Sav and Fiona, but they plan on adding more eventually.

While the of reading thoughts of the characters via Twitter is cool, it doesn’t work. Degrassi is taking place “last year” via the timeline. So, reading caracter tweets doesn’t make since to me.

So, reading character tweets doesn’t make since to me. Already, ‘HollyJ” is tweeting she is excited for summer. But, on the same day, she’s tweeting about being class president.

hey kary i have a excellent idea i think it would be awsome if on the teenick webiste and muchmusic website there would be a poll of which topic would you want on a upcoming degrassi episode like a example 1.eating disorder
2.inhalent abuse
3.gang rape
4.sucide
and obviousy the person who makes degrassi or the writers or something would be the one who give the choices and than the topic that was voted the most would be on a upcoming episode of that season or next season but it woundt be annouced whaat topic won till the producers decide when this would be awsome and the fans would feel like part of the show because they helped pick a topic for a episode:)

Wow, that’s incredibly neat. It’s Degrassi world, online. Kind of like their “My Room Page” except in something that our society uses. Very creative.

Well number one it’s not their real twitter. Number two its a twitter for “Holly J” “Sav” and “Fiona” not Charlotte, Raymond and Annie. Number three even with a white background it is a picture of them.
