*That dude THREW Fiona down the stairs?!?!?!? Wow. And apparently she loses her freakin mind as well.
*Anya says she’s PREGNANT?!? Now of course at this point I don’t actually buy that she is, but you can never know with this show. Either way she’s gonna be pulling some shady stuff this season.
*Alli saying “You think I’m the hottest girl at this school?” with a scene of her and Bianca practicing (what looks like) catwalking. Now THAT could be an interesting rivalry.
Oh, and people wondering who Fiona’s boyfriend is kissing? It’s not Holly J or Paige, it’s this girl:

Apparently they’re supposed to be AMAZING. You can tell a huge difference. It’s most notable in the scenes where Holly J is in the hallway talking to Anya, then Sav. The way she (the foreground) stands out from the background is much more noticeable.

I totally agree. At first I was like ‘ Fiona would never put up with that!’, But then I realized there’s a lot of women who you would never suspect that are abused. Just like there’s men who are so charming, sweet, and funny that you would never guess he beats on his wife/girlfriend.

Well, since Mr. Simpson was the one who announced the lockdown, I’m assuming it happens in Degrassi, and it looks like all of the scenes with the abuser take place at the private school or inside Fiona’s house. So I don’t think that would be the cause, unless he somehow follows her to Degrassi. I have a feeling the lockdown will be the final episode(s) of this first half, so with the abuse most likely being the first, there’s plenty of time for that plot to develop.

Great Promo!!! Hopefully Fiona’s boyfriend will go on the roof to try to get her to come down and then she pushes him and he dies. I wonder if Anya is pregnant or not? Cause Anya lying about being pregnant just seems too straight forward for Degrassi, plus people have been guessing that she would do that for a while now so it wouldn’t be that big of a deal when people saw it. Hopefully Riley will just get tired of being blackmailed that he comes out to the football team or the team will find out what Drew did and beat his a**. I just wish they would show more of the other plots, like whats happening with KC and Jenna, Adam, etc.

I think Anya might not be faking it. Charlotte specifically said there was a “surprise pregnancy” during the awards tonight. I was shocked when she said it. Like one of those are you sure you can say that, Charlotte? moments.

oh yeah i remember reading that on Kary’s Blog (which i love) you are suppose to be playing a character named Layton or Leighton. well Morgan I’m not saying that i don’t believe you but i will have to check reliable sources like IMDB.com for your credits. oh.. and you said the character’s name is Layton/ Leighton. and thats what im gonna believe so don’t change the name now. cause i actually know Landon aka Declan and he can tell me the truth. but if you are true to your word I hope you get to become a regular on degrassi after you have your small role. Cast applauded the writers twice! You know the scripts are solid when the cast can’t sit still.

Anyways about this new trailer… WOW! I’m glad mama Coyne will get the goons to go pay a visit to this monster. It seems I was wrong about my earlier prediction about Jenna being the one that kisses Fiona’s bf; there was a really similar resemblance. Anya has to be bluffing. If she was really pregnant, she would’ve gone to the clinic for tests et all like Alli did. The suprise pregnancy would be a nice development I guess, but for Anya to discover it off-screen wouldn’t sit well with some. The following link is a good article I found:

Wow, that promo was very…different compared to the ones from Teenick. I personally prefer the others, I dunno why; this one just seemed a bit awkward to me for some reason? It really highlighted Mrs. Coyne for some reason, and it came across way less intense and dramatic than the latest Teenick promo (nothing will compare to the carnival one).
It really made Fiona seem like she totally lost it, and I’m wondering if for some reason she goes beserk or pretends she’s being abused before it actually starts, and then he ends up hurting her? The stuff with her screaming at him in the middle of school and standing on top of the roof…odd. But at least we can be 99% sure she comes back to Degrassi, from her last scene w/HJ.
I REALLY hope Clare and Biance aren’t cheerleaders. Wouldn’t mind if Alli became one, although that’s yet another similarity to Manny that comparing people can use, but if all three do that’s such overkill.
And if that was Drew in the weight room w/Zane doing pull-ups, well, yeah it did look like he was checking him out, or at least sizing him up. Maybe he’s gonna bash him?
As for Anya, Charlotte did announce that this season would involve a “surprise pregnancy”, so maybe Anya pretends to be pregnant while she’s fooling around with Sav, and in the process of being with him again, gets pregnant for real? Although that’s more “The Girl Who Cried Wolf” than a two-faced one.

I’m hoping that if Anya does fake a pregnancy (which I suspect will happen), then that’s the so-called surprise pregnancy. I do NOT want to see another pregnancy on this show. Enough is enough.
Besides, if they did choose to make a character pregnant and have her keep the baby, it would most likely be one of the younger characters, since they’ll be around longer.

Crazy. No wonder Everyone is going crazy. Abuse, possible fake pregnantcys, transgenders, cheating, jock compition, and all this is just from 5 or 6 episodes it looks like! Hmmm gonna get crazy. It’s a little weird how they do show more characters than others and not show some at all. Like where is Danny, Channtay, Adam, Jane, Spinner, Leah, Peter? etc. Maybe they only took these clips from the first shot episodes and hopefully we will see them later in the season.

Anyone else notice at :55 fiona is at degrassi? Im guessing after the whole thing with the abuse she and declan( or at least her) return to toronto. This would also make sense cause i doubt their gonna keep switching between degrassi and manhattan the entire season.
Also if theirs a surprise pregnancy this season i doubt theyd reveal it this early. Its gotta be someone we dont expect, like Clare. But they already did the nerdy girl gets pregnant thing with liberty. It could be Alli with Drew. Or maybe it could be Jenna’s secret that she doesn’t know

Oh God, why must they have Clare try out for Spirit Squad? Just because the actress is into gymnastics in real life doesn’t mean that she has to be on the show. Why must the writers always turn the characters into the actors that play them? The only exceptions to this rule are Liberty, Toby, and Connor.
Anya’s totally faking a pregnancy. And I PRAY that’s the “surprise pregnancy” that Charlotte was talking about.

I thought that Manny suddenly being this awesome singer was the worst. For 8 seasons, she never showed any remote interest in music or singing. Jimmy randomly being a rapper was bad too, but at least he had Downtown Sasquatch.

It was one thing for Mia at the beginning of season 6 where she tries out for the Power Squad. Nina Dobrev was a gymnast, so that was okay as they introduced her with that trait. But I agree with Kary and pocksuppet, it’s just random and doesn’t make sense.

Ellie was my favorite for season 2-4. But after that I didn’t like the Ellie I saw very much, she wasn’t the same.
Ashley was the only one I accepted changing all the time because that was her thing, trying different looks.
Oh yeah and don’t forget Jimmy’s great art skills in season 5.
