Hey guys, I’m writing this post so that people can discuss the new episode “Heart Like Mine,” which airs for the first time in America tonight at 9pm on TeenNick.
The episode originally aired in Canada back in November of ’09…if you want to read the review I wrote back then, you can CLICK HERE, but a word of warning: TeenNick is airing Part 1 tonight (4/9), and won’t air Part 2 until next Friday (4/16). So if you haven’t seen the entire episode and don’t want to know what happens in Part 2, DON’T READ THE REVIEW. It’s full of spoilers from top to bottom.

I brought this season on iTunes and they have already released part 1 of this episode even though it hasn’t been officially shown yet. So I just finished uploading it!!! YeY Marco! I wonder if they are going to have him in more episodes or just this one!?!

I asked him on Twitter when he tweeted that he was shooting it way back last summer and he said that was his only appearance in Season 9, Hopefully Season 10!

thank you. i have seen all the episodes up to 916. i just hope after start me up its not a stillshot promo.(in case there is none in May) like they did after love games. i would hate that.

Apparently, Teennick is airing Holiday Road tomorrow, Saturday night.

How do you know this info? Cause when I checked the TeenNick Schedule for tomorrow Holiday Road wasn’t on there.

Wow, you so called it! Teennick so did put way too much hype on KC looking at the gun, they led people to think there’s going to be another school shooting, you are psychic

so when is it coming back to Canada? then we will get some info in thier promo. Kary DegrassiNation claims they have seen the 3 missing eps. Is it true?

I have a few thoughts on the episode, but first I want to focus on the minutia. They’ve been trying for continuity, but there were three things in this episode that really annoyed me. 1. Marco is a sophomore in college-A.K.A. Not old yet old enough to be a student teacher. 2. How does Holly J. know Marco? It was bad enough when Jane and Manny were arbitrarily friends, but at least they gave some reason. 3. Did all the main characters quit the power squad? Wouldn’t Holly J., Anya, and Chante all have been with the Power Squad? Especially Holly J., seeing as she’s in charge. Come to think about it, I don’t think we’ve seen any of the ususal cheerleading dynamic in season 9.
Anyway, as to the actual episode:
Pros: Alli versus Jenna and K.C.!!!
The Coach Carson relationship seems kind of creepy
I guess it was nice to see Marco, and for once his storyline had nothing to do with sexuality
Cons: The K.C./Clare break up seemed really random and K.C. just seemed like a jerk. But it also just didn’t make any sense, soI has difficulty sympathizing…
The Marco plot was just really random. Also, I actually agree with Holly J. While he shouldn’t have given her the extension to begin with, you can’t just rescind an extension and say it’s due in two hours.
Jenna/K.C. = yawn
The Coach Carson thing wasn’t THAT intense
One of the things I did like though, was seeing Spinner and Marco interact. I had just seen the episode in which Marco forgives Spinner for the shooting, so I liked seeing them togethor. This reminds me, did Spinner just stop being Christian when he broke up with Darcy?

i think holly j and marco r friends thru spinner, holly j got kicked off power squad in season 8 from my knowledge im not sure if she was back on and i agree on everything else u said

yes Holly J. was kicked off in Season 8 when she told the reporter that Mia slept with Tom Blake to be the T-Bombz girl, also in Canada they probably have a different rule or something, but a big continuity error that I saw this season was in one of Jane’s episodes the woman asks if they’re booking for New Year’s Eve, the movie was supposed to take place during Winter break so they would have been back at school for at least 2 months and that wouldn’t make sense that she would be asking for New Year’s of the next year

yes! exactly! i noticed the new year’s eve thing too. and i also noticed the whole holly j and marco NEVER having any interaction before now. i dont think they ever met (at least not that we saw; it may have been implied though) except on a couple of minis.

Also, one more thing. I think they should have thrown us a little Paige bone if they were going to show Marco. I.E. Him on the phone with her, a tex from her… We could really use some follow up to Degrassi goes Hollywood, and it’s always nice to hear from Paige.

Yeah, I think, also that they wanted to show that Marco was actually doing something that wasn’t dependent on someone like Crag, Ellie, Paige, Jimmy or even Spinner for that matter

I’ve seen the episode online, which is why I was surprised that Declan and Fiona weren’t on tonight. They must be in part 2 next week on teen nick…
It was disappointing in this episode that Clare just gave up KC without a fight. He was the one who drew her out of her shell in the first place. I guess she didn’t feel comfortable with him anymore, and I don’t blame her! I couldn’t believe how he and Jenna flirted with each other in public! I wish she wouldn’t waste her time getting him back. How long will she have him?
