Over the weekend The Exec tweeted that Degrassi will probably return to CTV in March, and TeenNick in April. That really isn’t shocking news.
The (somewhat) shocking news comes from the info he spilled about the Degrassi movie:

Much Music posted an article about members of the Degrassi cast heading to Ecuador and India for volunteer missions through the organization Me To We. Sarah Barrable-Tishauer (Liberty) and Evan Williams (Kelly) will be headed to India in July, while Dalmar Albuzeid (Danny) and Scott Paterson (Johnny) will travel to Ecuador in August.
Part of me finds it odd that Sarah and Evan are doing this since they’re characters are nowhere to be found on the show. Maybe they’re still active behind the scenes…who knows.

And it’s probably D:NYC Summer Of Love, given The Exec never tweeted ANYTHING about Degrassi Takes Manhattan being the title. The Canadian title will probably be The Rest Of My Life:D:NYC Summer Of Love. But what strikes me as odd is the title The Rest Of My Life. The wedding is probably the main focus, and is probably also the (major thing that brings them racing back)

After watching DGH again, I realized that it did suck, and Michael Seater canNOT sing. But I’d say that the Life Is A Show scene, opening credits(after the paige scene) and final scene were REALLY good. And has anyone else noticed that TeenNick seems to be more focused on what Nick Cannon wants, and constant advertising of himself than what the fans EVER want?

I loved DGH, it was the highlight of a not-so-amazing Season 8.
I would love to have Manny and Emma in the movie, but I’d hope they won’t be the focus of the whole movie, because Manny was already a main character in DGH. Plus, now that her and Jay are back together, what else can really happen to her? She is now a recurring character, not as main anymore.
I’m excited that we’ll get to see a side of Fiona that we haven’t seen before, so far she hasn’t been that exciting of a character. And, it will be fun to see Holly J go back to her evil ways, she hasn’t been as bitchy as she used to be back in Season 7.
I believe also that there will be a love square going on between Holly J, Declan, Spinner and Jane, whether that be during the movie or prior, we’ll see. I’m actually excited for that to happen!
For the wedding, the ONLY possibility that I could think of would be Jimmy and Trina, only because they mentioned it may be possible a Degrassi Alumni would be in the movie, and he and Trina got engaged. Plus, didn’t Jimmy’s character go to school in NYC? The only thing I’m not convinced about is that Aubrey “Drake” Graham would be in the movie, for his career is at a high point now, and it sounded like he was done with Degrassi. I guess we’ll see.

Yeah, Hudson University. I bet more than anything that Fiona has a past of being like Holly J. There’s no other explanation for why SHE would get into a catfight. And have you SEEN how clingy she is to Declan? This would be really weird, but oddly enough, I’d like to see backstabbing with hookups between Jane+Holly, Spinner+Declan. I’m so over the whole shooting/gun situation. They are bringing it up too much, its a bit over played. Just like the whole pregnency thing, its been over played, They already showed every scenerio of pregnancy. The only type of pregnancy storyline they havent yet covered was a girl getting pregnant and losing the baby.

I agree! I’d like to see that happen with Anyna. The promo shows her talking about a mistake, and the whole prom and limo thing, plus they tried to have sex in the camping episode. Anya seems like the girl who would try to keep the baby, and if she lost the baby without abortion or w/e it’d be good and give her character some depth!

Im a huge degrassi fan,but they stopped showing it on teennick for a while now. I love jane and spinner,but I haven’t seen any new episodes in a while that I really don’t care what happens between them anymore.

that could be true. maybe a promo at least. although its like a fox/cbs …etc type preview. not teenagey sort of. (i hope you know what i mean). but it wouls say Anya and Sav have diffuculties when blah blah happens. you know.

Peter or new (camera) person. Then The band getting out of the van(peter maybe of not camera dude.) with Jane with Spinner. Jenna, Anya, and Trish? at Cheer Practice. KC Connor Dave at Basket Ball and Maybe Ethan?. Alli and Claire Studying and talking with Blue Drawing and Talking to Riley in Glass Room. And New Guys someplace:).

I already said that Manny was in it. So is Jay, and apparently, others too. I’m just saying that it’s been reported that they will be in supporting roles. If Manny has a SUPPORTING ROLE(Cameo) it would make sense. DGH starred Manny. Emma SUPPORTED her along the way. DTM stars EMMA(In a subplot most likely involving her and what decision she makes regarding college, as the final scene of Holiday Road pretty much left that open ended) Manny SUPPORTS her the entire way, and probably goes back to Hollywood yet again after that.

Just checked the CTV Schedule. No new Degrassi for the 7th or the 14th. Supposedly Why Can’t This Be Love? is supposed to be the most dramatic episode of the season so I guess they are holding it off as long as they can. Also there are award shows and other new shows playing on Sundays in March.

Emma may be starring in it, but Manny will not. Annie confirmed a long time ago that there will be CAMEOS from Manny, Jay, etc.(meaning they’ll only be in like one scene. Probably the wedding.) samantha tweeted a long time ago that she (as anya) was shooting a SUMMER scene in shorts and a tank top.

And apparently Samantha’s getting her braces off on the 9th, so Anya will be brace-free come season 10. Aislinn confessed to Clare being in Season 10 over a month ago, and Riley’s probably in it, due to the fact that Argiris got some thrilling s10 news that they would not tell him unless he were in it.

So, apparently, Leia has been confirmed Season 10. I swear to god that this judgement has nothing to do with my having strep throat when I say blecch. And also, shooting for the Season 10 opener took place today. Hoping to get some confirmation, I left a message on Soundspeed’s Myspace page. They read it, but they didn’t reply, so I don’t know.

Um, I know Leia’s in it, because on Judy’s twitter, it says @judyjiao is officially confirmed for Season 10!!! That’s pretty self-explanatory. And In other news, just got a message from Raymond Ablack. He said that the entire band is gearing up for Season 10. So in other words, they’ve all been confirmed, and Sav, Peter, Danny, Johnny, and Spinner are all going to be in the upcoming season. Sadly, none of the actors know anything about Season 10. Well, anything that they care to discuss, that is. And how do we know that Morgan got the part? I thought it was assumed that Leighton is a fake???

calm down, i said nevermind, and i was only asking a question, not everyone has lame sites like twitter and are not that obsessed with degrassi to know that. and just because the character “leighton” isnt real doesnt mean the actress isnt on the show, but dont quote me on that she got it, i dont know for sure so maybe shes lying? we’ll see

Um… according to Degrassi wikia (which I’m part of), Manny, Emma, Johnny, and Bruce will not be in next season. As for Jane, it is unconfirmed.
