I know! Especially the Eli-Clare-Jake one. Eli and Jake just look so unnatural in it. Maybe it’s the fact that they’re arms are by their sides, Jake’s legs are too far apart, and they have to glare intensly at eachother while their bodies are still facing the camera…

O my gosh I no Jake is ugly as fuck and let’s be honest here there’s no way in hell him and Clare r gonna last. Based on the character descriptions there way to different. I thought Justin Kelly was way cuter on the latest buzz. Imogen is a bitch. I don’t need to see her in action to no that. Just based on her description she sounds like she’s a minipulator so this shud be pleasent with Eli. He’s going to fucking well explode being with her so there’s no way there gonna last either. Also imogen is just creepy looking. Like really bitch?? It was cool when Eli came along but she’s just horrifying. She wears those weird ass shirts with the Japanese characters on it and those damn polka dot stockings drive me up a tree. I hope Clare fucks her up and calls her out on just trying to get attention.

So I noticed KC has his uniform on in the opening and Jenna didn’t. I wonder if she is taking time off of school.

So… why is it that they are only acknowledging Holly J, Anya, and Chantay as graduating seniors? Riley and Zane are pictured in their opening credits work out gear, and Sav and (possibly) Fiona aren’t even pictured at all.

Bianca/Owen: Really? The socks? Really? And Daniel Kelly needs a bigger shirt cuz his looks a little too small. Plus, they both look so spacey in the picture.
KC/Jenna/Marisol: Can I just say how good Sam Earle looks here and how deshevled Jessica Tyler looks. Marisol (don’t know the actress’s name yet, sorry) looks like she’s wearing child’s clothes, almost like an over sized toddler if you ask me.
Holly J/Chantay/Anya: Looks like there won’t be any pretty graduation dresses at Degrassi. Finally Chantay is graduating! Seriously, she’s been on the show forever!! Samantha looks really pretty and Charolette should grow her hair longer, like it was eariler in the season.
Eli/Clare/Jake: I find Aislin’s expression priceless!! Munro and Justin look so unnatural that it makes the picture awkward. Munro’s hair is waaaay overgrown. And Justin looks like a) a good, homeschooled, christian boy or b) some sort of worker boy cuz of his random brown gym shoes and too small lumberjack shirt.
Adam/Eli: As previously stated, Munro needs a hair cut! He also looks really serious but not as dark and mysterious as last season. Jordy looks way too girly. First off, her chest is so obvious in this picture that it takes away from Adam a bit. Not to mention the foam green jacket that looks like it came from Clare’s closet. I have no idea what is with the dog tags but I like the shoes. And Jordy’s expression is creepy.
Alli/Clare: Adorable! Aislin’s pink bow tie is so cute on her. Three cheers for the denim jacket?? I think yes! Melinda looks really pretty here, like really pretty.
Zane/Riley: Am I the only one who finds this picture absolutely perfect? His short hair looks really good! Plus, Shannon’s got the guns out baby! Not sure why, but I LOVE this picture. My favorite of all of these.
General ideas:
Are we looking at more Bianca/Owen interaction? We didn’t see much last season even thought they were supposedly tight. Maybe even more involvment for Owen.

The seniors will graduate, tear tear. But no Fiona? Of course she’s not graduating! She was drunk during final exams, went to a different school, missed school for rehab, and missed school for court! No duh she’ll be held back a grade.
EClare/Cake love triangle (otherwise known as the love triangle of desserts). Justin Kelly is also really tall. And he doesn’t look like someone who would be a player like Jake is.

Where are the new characters? Where’s Katie? Mo? Imogen? The only new character in these is Jake. Last season, Adam, Eli, Bianca, and Drew were all in a lot of pictures. What about this season?!?!?!?!
Where are the individual pictures? Last time, each character had at least one picture by themself. This season??
Will there be more pictures or is this it? And if this is it, then these don’t really reveal much about the plotlines for the season. At least, not as much as the last ones (EClare, Fadam, Dalli, Folly J, Savvy J,etc.)

Ahh, wonderful to finally see some Ziley! Clare and Alli are looking super cute in that picture. I always find it amusing how they clearly establish character relationships just through the promo pics. With that said, I wonder how far Eli would take a rivalry with Jake, considering how badly his rivalry with Fitz affected his relationship with Clare. I can seriously hear the lumberjack jokes about Jake now because I swear, every picture and scene that Justin Kelly’s been in has him in plaid, haha.

Drew/Marisol/katie: Does that seem random to anyone else other than me? Oksy, Drew went on one date with Marisol, but there’s no indication that Drew will interact with Katie ever. Maybe this means a possible love triangle between best friends and the school jock? Degrassi does love its love triangles. Drew’s shoes annoy me and so does his really short hair. Katie looks really pretty and Marisol is just kind of there.
Imogen/Katie/Jake: All the newbes…but where’s Mo? Hmmm, interesting. Justin Kelly looks terrible here but it’s a good picture of Imogen and Katie.
Clare/Eli/Jake: Love Eli in this! He looks like the devil plotting to kill. I have one really big problem with Cake right off the bat: they look like they could be siblings. Jake looks happy, Clare looks kind of happy, and Eli looks pissed.
Clare/Imogen: Kind of a nothing picture really. Maybe Imogen will try to befriend Clare to be like her and win Eli’s heart, but who knows! Maybe this will be a real friendship. Clare looks funny here and so does Imogen. They both look like silly people.
Wesley/Connor: Just can never get tired of this friendship! Nerds FTW! Connor looks a bit more buff here but Wesley looks really quriky.
Eli/Jake: Once again, Jake isn’t very good looking. Hhis clothes don’t help, but neither does his hair or face. I used to think he looked like Fitz but now, I think even Fitz is better looking. THE SMIRK!! Eli looks so devilish, it’s scary. Looks like he has something planned for Jake.
Drew/Bianca: They’ve actually become a really cute couple. They look good together, they’re personalities fit each others. Two problems with this picture: Drew’s hair and Bianca’s skirt. Other than that, not terrible.
Katie/Marisol: Katie doesn’t look as pretty here. Actually, Marisol does.Looking forward to another really close friendship. Hopefully, they will stay really close and always be there with each other like really BFFs, not so much like Clare and Alli.
Marisol/KC: Awkward pairing but understandable after Better Off Alone. Marisol looks like she got what she wanted. Sam Earle, looking good.
Jenna/KC: They have grown on me. KC is really tall (or Jenna’s really short). Jessica Tyler seems a bit off here but I don’t know why. Plus, Jenna’s not in uniform. Maybe she takes some time off school? And once again I will say just how good Sam Earle looks here.

I REALLLY want to see Jenna with someone new! We all know whats going to happen with Marisol and all, and Jennas only been with one person on the show. I feel like her character revolves around KC. I’d like to see her be with someone completely new. Like..idk Owen available! Hehe.

Since there’s no pic of Eli and imogen maybe that’s a sign to say that Eli is just using her to make Clare jealous but in reality he dosent like her that way and dosent want to go out with her…. Fiona’s non-graduation means that she’ll be around at least until season 13 (assuming the show lasts that long). Because there’s no way that the current 11th graders are going to be gone by the end of season 12, especially since we’ve now got Jake and Imogen in the mix. Fiona’s going to be around for a while, still! And through her, we’ll likely see a new queer girl added to the main cast to take her place once she’s out of the picture. If she’s still at Degrassi, I doubt that all of her trysts will be with girls outside the school. She’ll probably hook some grade 10 or 11 girl before she graduates.

@James Are we talking about being formally held back by the school, or by the writers? Riley was held back by the writers in order to give him time to explore his sexuality, even though he was introduced as a grade 12 student in season 8. But he wasn’t formally held back by the school (like Jimmy and Spinner were, for example). His grade was just changed in order to keep him around longer. I think I misunderstood how you and natan meant “held back”.
Fiona will be held back by the school as a result of her drunkenness during exams, being at another school, and missing school for rehab.

My Opinion on Season 11 Characters:
1.Imogen:
Im not into her at all.Imogen looks like a wannabe and looks really cheesy to me.Her and Eli dont make a good pairing.(even though im not a big fan of Clare).People have been giving her too much hype.
2. Jake:
I dont really have a problem with Jake,he just seems kind off stiff and disconnected.But,I dont see how he is a “heart throb”.
3. Katie:
I like Katie,even though she hasnt really been the most discussed new character there is just something that draws me to her.And she is really pretty.I cant wait to see how her character will un fold.
4. Eli/Clare:
First of all,no offense to all you Eclare fans,I have never really been into these 2 as a couple,however,I cant picture them without each other.Clare seems very hypocritical to me because she is the one who dumped Eli,and now that Eli seems somewhat over her she is mad?Wow,seriously?Eli on the other hand is looking slightly creepy to me,I hope he can pull himself back together.
5. Drew/Bianca:
Tbh, I like these 2:)But I think Drew would have been better off with Ali.Bianca is just dragging Drew into her lifestyle,and that is going to get him into serious trouble.Drew really needs to realize that no matter how much he cares about Bianca,that he still needs to think about himself and how she is effecting him.
6.KC/Jenna/Marisol:
Ok,first off,KC is a major dick if he leaves Jenna and his newborn baby for Marisol.Marisol is very pretty,but she is coming onto KC pretty strong and KC seems to be slowly giving in.I mean KC has been going through this whole phase,and Jenna and her baby shouldnt be in the middle of his “mini crisis”.I really want to see how this plays out:)
7.Alli:
I miss Ali so much.I think that since she has been back to Degrassi she has been in the shadows,she needs to make her comeback.Personally,I think she needs to get back with Drew.But, I hope she returns to her somehwhat same self,just minus her old slutty ways.

Agreed degrassi is really pissing me off this season so far. Others may not agree but season 10 was the shit. Now it’s just getting silly with this whole drew and Bianca thing with all this ex boyfriend crap Bianca supposedly has going on?? It’s almost like they turned this into one of those shows like CSI and NCIS (or whatever the hell it is) where they have alot of bad guys with guns and what not. I mean wtf?? High school dosent really have that kind of drama.the opening credits is bullshit this time around (well I like how everyones introduced but the singer fucking sucks balls) my favorite couple broke up so now I have to watch them with other ppl which really fucking pisses me off. And the promos have no god damn excitment to them what so ever. I mean I’m actually to the point where I don’t give a damn when the show is actually supposed to come back. At least season 10 got u excited and really made u want to watch. If degrassi keeps this bullshit up well… I can’t believe I’m actually saying this but I’m not gonna be around to watch much longer…

Possible Drew/Katie/Marisol friendship? It’d make sense for them to interact, considering they’re all involved with sports. Imogen and Katie look exactly how I pictured, but Justin Kelly as Jake still bothers me, haha. Imogen’s outfit is cheesy as hell, but so was Ellie’s outfits when she was first introduced. I remember loving how quirky Ellie’s hair was season 2, and Imogen’s totally reminds me of that. The glasses are a nice touch too. I laughed SO DAMN HARD at the new picture of Clare, Eli, and Jake, hahaha. Eli’s face is just too funny. The hand holding is mad awkward though, heh. I didn’t think about it until I saw the picture of them together, but I wonder what kind of encounters Clare and Imogen will have? It’s good to see that Connor and Wesley still exist, after hearing about AJ Saudin and Spencer Van Wyck being MIA from set. I wonder how hard Justin Kelly and Munro Chambers were trying to not laugh during all these “serious” pictures, haha. And KC’s in pics with his two women already? Ruh oh.

She seems like one of those controling girlfriends who would probably warn Clare about staying away from Eli as if Clare should be scared of her. And am I the only one who has noticed how Clares style changes after every boyfriend? When she first started on the show all we ever saw was her catholic school uniform. Then during/after KC we see her change and start wearing bright colors and flowers (KC seemed to be more into girly girls) now after Eli we see her with black tights and boots and emo inspired bow head band. ????
