The other day Shannon Kook-Chun (Zane) posted a pic of the “Tears Dry On Their Own” script on twitter.
I have no idea what episode it is in the production order, but since he did post it on the same day The Exec said they were doing read-throughs for episode 1021-1024, one could assume it’s one of those. By the way, they’ve probably surpassed the halfway mark in shooting the first 24 episodes of Season 10.

Drew is straight. It is clear because he and Alli have a thing. I think Riley likes him but Drew makes fun of him and they have a rivalry. Just my opinion. I hope Ziley lasts though.

I found your description of the promo interesting. I do agree about Drew vs. Riley, Alli/Drew and Fitz. My biggest thing that scares me is the Lovers and Death with Eli and Claire. I really hope that he does not commit suicide I think him and Adam are gouing to be my favorite characters.

i think he does commit suicide. wen clair draws the death card, he doesn’t care, and she looks scared for him. i think that he trys to commit suicide, but clair stops him, and helps him. causing them to become ‘lovers’.
I will die if they have another unsuccessful suicide!!! But they probably won’t kill off someone so new.

I still don’t think Eli will go through with it if that’s the storyline. He’s a new character and a main one. I doubt they will kill him off if none of us have any emotional regards for his character. I think he could face serious consequences to it though. Like, with Clare and etc.
OH!!! What if he falls madly in love with Claire and for some reason wants to die WITH her. But once she’s dead or at least hurt someone finds and stops him from killing himself!!!

I’m guessing we will have a Degrassi Takes Manhattan promo sometime after Canada finishes airing Season 9. They finish on the 31st which is right at the beginning of June. They need at least a month of advertising of the movie. A lot of normal fans, meaning they don’t go to blogs probably don’t even know about the movie if they haven’t seen the 10sec commercial teen nick played. So it should be sometime really soon.

I don’t think Riley and Zane will break up in this episode, cause it would be to obvious from the title of the episode. Here is what I think:
A friend or family member of either Riley or Zane dies. Then the other person tires to comfort them and get their mind off of what happened, but the other person just gets mad at them. So they then learn that they just have to let the other person’s “Tears Dry On Their Own”.
I don’t see why everyone is so convinced that this episode is going to concern Zane or Riley or them breaking up; it could be possible that Zane has a few lines in this episode and therefore was given the script for the read-through. I’m not ruling out the idea of him getting a plot in this episode, but it may not have anything to do with him altogether. Just saying … :)
im pretty sur that if he taks a pic of the script and posts it, then he probably has a main role. and on his comments ALMOST EVERYBODY put “No, idont want riley and zane 2 break-up!:(“
What does it matter what the comments for the picture said? The people commenting are as oblivious to this episode’s plot as we are, so them saying “i don’t want riley and zane to break up” holds no weight.

IDK I haven’t seen nearly enough of Zane and Riley to be a fan of them yet. Nor have I seen enough of Zane.

Has anyone considered that “Tears Don’t Dry On Their Own” may have something to do with Fiona? I mean we all saw the promo and it looks like she is suffering from some type of abuse. I don’t think they would introduce that storyline so quickly unless they are planning on showing how much she grows from whatever happens to her/how it affects her all season but then again they did show Darcy’s rape in a season opener.
i hav thought that. zane probably has a subplot, or becoms friends w/fiona. most girls hav gay friends. :)
it makes sense maybe Riley and Fiona become friends again. I also thought that maybe if Adam is still transitioning from a girl to a guy (if that’s the story line) then the medication that they have to take makes the girl/guy very aggressive what if maybe Adam hurts Fi.
It’s “Tears Dry on their Own” (not Don’t) so the second part probably won’t end completely upsetting which an episode about Fiona getting abused probably would. This ep will probably have a kind of empowering ending it sounds like
I’m pretty sure we’ll get to know Adam first, I doubt they would beat Fiona. Either way I’m excited for both of their storylines, also isn’t every main cast member including in the cold reads? Shannon Kook-Chun may have not even opened the script yet, as they do cold reads on Degrassi.
Yeahhh they do “cold reads” (where all the members of the “main cast” show up for the read-through) so ur pretty much right….i remember a while ago i saw a video on youtube when they did the “cold read” of the episode when JT died and they started crying at the read-through.

This is all just a guess from what i’ve seen. . . I’m not as into the show as most of you so I don’t really know backgrounds of the characters. :)
I can see what you mean when you say it looks as though she’s smirking, but judging by the fact that she’s applying skin-colored makeup and trying to cover it up, I would just say her “smirk” is just a little smile she is making to try to reassure herself that things will be okay. And since she appears to be hiding her bruises, along with (what I believe to be) a smile to reassure herself that everything’s fine, I would think she is just trying to play down the seriousness of the situation, which wouldn’t be hard to believe since many victims of abuse remain in denial for awhile.

Okay. On Fiona’s Twiitter someone asked her why Declan isn’t in the promo and she said “You’ll see” She gets beat up. Am I the only person who thinks that, Declan dies and Fiona gets beat. Its probably something to do with their family being so big. It makes sense to me. Idk, but I hope that this year is gonna be so big and bad and crazy. It is going to be such a fast year this summer. Yeah Declan will definately be back, I think Fiona will be in an abusive relationship because the promo symbolized how the like whole season would go for each character, not just one event. But you could be right, Idk I cant wait to see though.
I dont see why people assume the tears dry on their own thing is about zane and riley. He has to study the script even if he has minor lines.
OK, did anybody think that maybe Eli (clare’s new dig – the one from the carnival promo who drew the “death” card) maybe gets annoyed with K.C. or Clare’s hang-up on KC and he kills KC? That would explain the death and the need for a school lock-down, plus Degrassi has never had a successful in-school-hallways murder, so it would be a first. Who knows – maybe Jenna somehow plays a helping hand, like by telling Eli where/when KC will be somewhere?
