Kary, I don’t know if you know this but Degrassi won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Children’s or Youth Series and Phil won an award for the episode “Scream Part Two”. Ironically, in the best performance category Melinda Shankar was the one who won th award haha how about them apples
I’m really excited for part 2 after seeing part 1.
I will be sad to see Munro go. He always seems to give a lot to the plots he’s given, and his plots are always really interesting without being over-the-top and super dramatic. And plus, he has chemistry with just about every single person on the show.
I will also be sad when Jake graduates, because Justin Kelley can do both serious and goofy and both are enjoyable to watch. He has great comedic timing, and I could feel his pain when talking to Katie.
People can hate on Eclare all they want, but they still remain as the most genuine couple this show has probably ever had. They just act like they’re in love without being mushy or cheesy. You can tell the writers have put a lot of work into developing this couple and the actors are emotionally invested as well, which is cool.
I still cringe when I see Jenna on camera, but I actually thought she was really sweet in this episode. And Connor, as awkward as he is, is equally as charismatic. I’m excited to see more plots revolved around him next year when he’s a senior. I really think he’s a character the writers have overlooked, but hopefully that will change.
Also… I have no worries that the freshmen will be able to take over the show after all the huge characters leave (Fiona, Eli, for example). They are wonderful to watch.
And.. I don’t really have much to say about Katie. I liked her better last week when she was a supporting character for Maya.
It makes sense that they’d hold Eli back if he has a breakdown over all of this and needs to take a medical leave. They wouldn’t get rid of Munro that easily.
They’re not holding Eli back he is graduating. Its had been confirmed by Linda Schuyler the creator of Degrassi. She said they were sad to see Munro go.
I really hope Mo and Jake stay back. I love their bromance so much. While some fans don’t like Marisol, she needs to stay back too so she can have a decent storyline about herself. She’s been there so long and I can count on one hand her storylines.
I think Eli will definetly break down. But he will get back up he will probably almost die because of the drugs and his medication not working together and then find out afterwards and be scared. He will hopefully go see his doctor with Clare and they will all figure some things out. I doubt that they will break up because they love each other too much to send each other away!
I think this was a great episode, a few ‘dark’ moments but it was a little more upbeat, which I think was needed after last week. I’ve not been the biggest Eclare fan, but I think they have definitely been the stars of this generation, as Emma, Manny, JT, etc. were for the TNG time.
i agree with all of you. eclare is one of those couples who can really make it through anything without breaking up they have that love that is truly unbreakable
Also, I’m liking the Baker twins less and less. Luke is just a bully and a hypocrite, and Becky is judgmental and proud. Wtf is that with the whole “I don’t want to see you get pregnant again.” After one kiss?
Isn’t that jumping to conclusions – regarding Becky’s comment? Also, she’s apologizing as well. When Jenna covered for Alli, her mother’s thoughts mirrored that about Jenna as well. It’s a realistic and typical stigma that teen mother’s face. Becky represents those people that will either say it to that teen’s face or behind her back, but unlike a lot of those people she’s taking responsibility for what she thought.
Well, I don’t know the context, but I don’t think it’s right to automatically assume Jenna will get pregnant again after kissing Connor one time. I have a feeling Luke told her something about Jenna that isn’t true because he’s jealous. Becky rubs me the wrong way. It’s like she thinks she’s better than everyone else just because of her faith.
Luke is her brother so Becky will likely believe him over a friend, until he causes her too much heartache. Again, I think this comes from the stigma of being a teen mother and how others can view you, even those that are your friends or family. I think a lot of people feel they’re better than others when it comes to a lot of things like having a higher income, better education, housing, girlfriend/boyfriend, etc. Maybe she can be a bit arrogant but then so are other characters, such as Eli. I like characters that have some confidence or arrogance to them than those that are constant self doubters.
I don’t know why I was shocked they already removed poor Cam from the opening. I see Owen is still there, I almost forgot about him, Is he still on the show?
Munro, Annie, Justin, Alicia, Cristine, Jacob and Chloe all said there goodbyes on Twitter on the last day of filming. I did not here anything from Shanice or Demetrius but I know Luke said he is staying.

@Nikki yeah I saw that picture too my guesses were Katie, Eli, Fiona, and Marisol yes Marisol because if you look at the facts we really don’t know all that much about her but to be president captain of the power squad, and has time to go out with Mo every night she might be at the top of her class but yeah i think your right mabye it is fiona.
I was hoping for a male valedictorian though such as Eli though because its always a girl; It was liberty for the class of 07, Jane for the class of 08 and Holly J for the class of 11. It would still be cool if it was fiona but a male valedictorian would be something degrassi hasn’t done in a while.
Can Teennick show the other plots in there promos because by just showing Eclare every damn episode promo, it over dramatizes the plot in my case and leaves me kinda disappointed. And they have more time for spoilers in the promo by just using one plot in it.
