We’re a week away from the premiere of Degrassi’s fall block, and below is the latest promo from TeenNick. It features the block’s biggest storyline (Becky/Adam), and what was inevitably bound to be Degrassi’s next love square (Zig/Tori/Maya/Cam):

Just a reminder, Degrassi goes back to one 30-minute episode every Friday night at 9pm EST. The fall block will be 8 episodes. There’s no word yet on the full broadcast schedule…the only issue that comes about is whether or not they’ll be airing an episode on November 23rd (the day after Thanksgiving). TeenNick hasn’t aired a Degrassi episode on Black Friday since Season 4.

I thought Campbell and Maya made the cutest couple ever. I really thought they had something on the show that could be played out about Maya feeling self-consious and Cam trying to keep his suicide a secret from Maya. Maybe thats why he’s not interested in her because he’s embarresed to tke his shirt off? I love Maybell/Caya and i can’t wait to see how they turn out! Also with Becky and Adam i’m so excited to see how that plays out with Beckys religious parents. I think Beckys dad will be the one who will be hard to accept Adam. I did not like the Bakers at all but if they redeem themselves with more interesting plots i could find love for the Baker family.

Okay, I have never been on this bandwagon – but I’m gonna go ahead and jump on. Campbell has to be gay. He’s a hockey player, popular, and has a girlfriend throwing herself at him and he’s all “no…” Um…yeah….go ahead and get you some Tristan, Cam. Seriously.
And the whole Becky/Adam relationship makes me moan in ecstasy like a whore at a hotel. I am so pumped for them! And the fact that Becky is upfront with her parents about Adam being transgendered…I can’t even.
And then Maya and Zig. I need this to happen. Zaya is so much better than Zori. And screw you Katie! Let Maya have her Zig. We all know in the Degrassi universe that Zig and Maya will be together, Maya and Tori will fight for a season or 2 and then become friends again, and then Maya will get knocked up with quadruplets (a new spin on the pregnancy storyline). Perfect ending.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Okay, I think I’m a little too excited for Degrassi’s return or I’m having a manic episode. YAY!

I almost died reading your comment on the Becky/Adam relationship. XD But I think that if it doesn’t happen, im going to have to go back to hating Becky, since she’s only tolorable when Adams in the plot with her, even Jenna’s annoying me now. lol

Seriously, Campbell not being into Maya? I want to believe this is not a gay storyline but help me here XD I somehow feel that the kiss between Maya and Zig will be because: Campbell doesn’t want to fool around with Maya = Maya feels self-conscious and sexy = Tori tells her to compete in her pageant that way she’ll feel good about herself = Maya doing it but feeling awkward = Zig totally being nice to her = Her wanting to feel diserable = Her kissing Zig. BAM! I should so be writing this show xD Okay, maybe not. One episode a week, this will kill me. I hope they’ll be able to have strong Part 1 like in the first half of season 12.

None of the IceHounds appeared to be at the last script read-through, so I fully expect them to be gone after the season.
I really think Cam’s life at Degrassi is not going to “end” well, if you know what I mean.
And all along, which I’ve yet to disclose until now, I’ve believed that Fab’s purpose on the show is to make the hockey stud jealous. It would be cool to add another geometric shape into the love scenario.
With no NHL, Degrassi better not disappoint. It’s even worse knowing that the owner of my Bruins, JJ, is responsible.

Hey Kary, this isn’t relevant to this post, but I was wondering if you have ever considered reviewing the old degrassi junior high/high episodes, especially now that the entire series season 1-5 (including school’s out) is up on hulu now to watch for free, which happens to be where I watched them. It’s more accessible now than before when youtube only had like season 1-2 and on netflix where it isn’t free.

Cam will be back unless Dylan Everett chooses not to come back. He is already the latest fangirl heart throb and, except for being an athlete, is clearly modeled after Eli with the mental health issues and all. He’s also one of the show’s strongest actors.
Owen is probably graduating. I think the jury is out on Luke and Dallas, but it is unusual for Degrassi to bring characters in for just one season.

Luke is a junior. As much as I can’t stand him, unless the Bakers are written off or he happens to die, it’s almost a guarantee that he’ll be back next season. It’d make sense for them to keep Dallas on for another year, but I don’t know if they will since that’s where they seem to be heading with the Drew dropping out storyline.

God, I have never been so excited. Seriously. Season 12 is my favorite season EVER so far and it looks as if its going to stay that way. I’m excited for more Cam. He’s my new favorite character. I didn’t really think he’d end up gay, and I still don’t–its almost too obvious, although I wouldn’t mind if he DID (or even bisexual, which… would be cool, they’ve not really done an actual bisexual character yet–I don’t count Paige that much) because my main love is gay characters. <3 I'm a slash writer, so… yeah, lol
Either way, I'm totally excited for more Cam and REALLY excited for Beckdam! I'm sure lots of drama will be coming our way with them. I'm super excited!!

Honestly as much as I love the niner group dynamic, it does not at all surprise me what’s about to happen. It was bound to at some point. I mean seriously, in real life, no social circls that started off in Grade 9 remain 100% intact and stable the whole way through high school, if even to the next year. It just doesn’t happen. Personally I preferred Zaya to Zori from the beginning, but I like Camaya and just hope that they;re broken up when all that goes down. I know that a lot of people are opposed to this idea, but the debate to Cam’s sexuality is becoming an increasingly gay area. I wouldn’t think he was gay unless the writers can somehow pull that off in a believable way, but I absolutely think it’s possible for him to be bisexual. Just all of what we’ve seen of him from 12B seems to be leaning in that direction. I’d rather he and Tristan date than Tristan and Fab. No offense to Kevin Alves or anything, but apparently Fab is a junior and I really just don’t see the point when he’s still a recurring character and will be leaving next season.

There are teens that are in a relationship that feel anxious and self conscious about PDA or being sexually intimate with their girlfriend/boyfriend without there being a possible sexuality factor. I just don’t see anything yet to warrant that Cam might be bisexual or gay, although it would be interesting to have a bisexual character being male.
Out of all the couple related plots, I’m most interested in Beckadam and I really hope things process well for them in the long run because they both look like characters that just want acceptance and love from those they care about. Camaya looks interesting also and it’s like a war going on in my shipper heart between my Camaya feels and Zaya feels.
