C21Media is reporting that Degrassi will now be broadcast in Portugal, Greece, Italy, Scandinavia, UK, Brazil, Germany, Benelux, Australia and New Zealand starting October 23rd.  For some bizarre reason I was excited about this…until I realized they will only be showing Seasons 8 and 9.

Silly me, thinking they might show all of the seasons. I guess that’s still better than nothing.  Does anyone know if Degrassi is still in syndication in the US? All the articles I can find talk about how Degrassi’s syndication deal in the states was extended through 2011, but I can’t find any recent information about it.  The episodes run on either CW or MyTV affiliates, if they still run at all…the local network where I lived stopped running Degrassi in syndication years ago.  Hahah people used to bitch over insignificant edits The-N use to make in the episodes….you haven’t seen anything until you’ve watched a syndicated episode hacked to pieces because of time constraints.

Episode 4 of the Degrassi mobile game has been released today.  In this episode it’s “Romance Week.” The key feature of this episode is that your character will get to choose whether they’re into guys or girls, and the storyline will shift accordingly.  To download this episode it either costs 99 cents, or you need to have 100,000 Degrassi points saved up in the game in order to get the update for free.  The game is available in the iTunes store.

Hopefully it got canceled in the U.S. (I don’t really mean that but…) As much as I love the show it’s gets stupider each episode/season.

Hey Kary, In Australia season 1-8 have been aired. 1-3 have been repeated countless times and 4-5 have been shown twice. Season 6 is currently being shown again at the moment. So really we are up to season 9! (Even though I have seen all the seasons!)

Agree with Alison! Although I had already seen them all on DVD.
