It’s that time of year again….the return of DEGRASSI MARCH MADNESS!!
Last year, thousands upon thousands of your votes determined that Ellie Nash was the winner….you can click on the bracket below to see a larger version of last year’s tournament:

This year’s Degrassi March Madness will be different. Instead of using individual characters, this year’s tournament will use Degrassi Couples/Ships. Not all of the couples listed have actually dated (ex: Craig/Ellie), but people still shipped them pretty hard so that’s why they were included.
For those who are new, here’s what goes down: it’s a bracket-style tournament using 64 couples/ships. Each couple faces off against another couple. Your job is to vote on each individual matchup, choosing the couple you like better. Whichever couple wins moves onto the next round. Characters advance and you keep voting until we have a winner!
There are 6 rounds of voting when Degrassi March Madness officially starts. You’ll have TWO DAYS to vote in each round (voting starts at midnight on Day 1 and ends at 10pm EST on Day 2. The Championship Round will have 3 days of voting). You can vote once for each individual matchup. Here’s the official schedule:
Sun 3/13: Degrassi March Madness Selection Show. This is when I’ll reveal the actual tournament bracket. Each couple’s matchup and position on the bracket is randomized (I randomly pull all of the name out of a hat).
Tue 3/15, Wed 3/16: Voting for Round 1
Thu 3/17, Fri 3/18: Voting for Round 2
Sat 3/19, Sun 3/20: Voting for Sweet 16
Mon 3/21, Tue 3/22: Voting for Elite 8
Wed 3/23, Thu 3/24: Voting for Final 4
Fri 3/25, Sat 3/26, Sun 3/27: Voting for Championship
Mon 3/28: Winner Announced

DEGRASSI MARCH MADNESS PLAY-IN BATTLE
I have a dilemma…as you know there are a lot of STRONG Degrassi couples/ships. That also means there’s some not-so-strong ones also. At first I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to come up with the required number of 64 couples, but I actually ended up coming up with too many.
So here’s where you come in. Below are 6 Degrassi couples. I consider these to be the “bottom-of-the-barrel” couples (ones that I don’t know why anyone would like, or even remotely care about). In the poll below you’ve been given the option to select 4 out of the 6 choices…choose which 4 couples you’d like to see play in the tournament.
The four couples with the most amount of votes will earn the right to get their butts kicked in the actual Degrassi March Madness tournament. Good luck!

I am totally in love with eclare but if i had to choose i would pick semma just because i was in love with sean. I don’t like emma (sorry im such a hater!) but sean with anyone else bothers me so i think eclare and semma are going to be the final two and idk if the obsessed fangirls or the smart/cool/awesome people will win!

I’m srry, but Im a huge fan of the older seasons of degrassi, and to see couples like anya and dr whoever beating a couple like joey and caitlen just isn’t rite. I want to see couples like sean/emma, Paige/spinner, JT/liberty, craig/Ashley (even though I hated them as a couple) win. Eclare does not fall under that category. I want couples that have lasted a long time and gone through and over come many problems. Eclare bores me.

Definite contenders are: Eclare, Semma, and JT/Liberty. Pretty much universally loved couples (if Eclare wasn’t shoved down everyone’s throats every two seconds).

Eclare might have a chance but I also think while they’ve gained a lot of a fans, they’ve also gained haters.
On a personal note, Sellie has been my favorite since season 3 and no one has been able to knock them out of my number one spot.

They have alot of haters? I don’t get what people have against Eclare. I am not saying everyone has to like them but I don’t get why people hate them. Eli is a new character with alot of problems so he is going to have alot of storylines. I am sorry but it is true.
I think they will when because they have TONS of fans that will vote more than once, like me. lol

I would have liked to see a character one again instead of a person one to see how new-new characters would do like Adam against old characters and how new-old characters like Fiona would do now that they have had more storylines. If you notices Fiona was out in round two but she didn’t have any storylines last year, she has come a long way with a lot of top storylines and people seem to love her lately. I don’t think we would have the same outcome as last year.

Oh I’m sure there’s no way it’d be the same outcome. I just finished making the couples bracket…I’m about 99% sure I’ll be going back to doing characters next year.

I’v always been a big fan of Sean/Emma but runner up is Paige/Spinner. These were the Classic couples from DTNG early seasons. I also love Paige/Alex. I have the hardest time voting for things like this because I am so indecisive.

I’m still not getting over how Landon’s not on the show anymore. Couldn’t have they have made a better exit for him??? I stopped watching the show ages ago, can’t stand Holly J/Sav. But I’ll watch Fiona’s hearing in 2 weeks.
