I knew this would happen. Like everyone else I spent all last night glued to the computer screen, waiting for a promo. I could’ve stayed at home all day today, but decided to go out. As soon as I stepped out the door I knew I’d come back to find promos galore. Here we go:

The promo doesn’t give me chills or make me jump out of my chair and say “OMG THIS IS THE MOST INTENSE PROMO EVERRRRRRR!!!! as;lkejfs;oifejs;o,” but it makes me extremely interested in these storylines because they’re far more unique than I expected.
Alli running away is the storyline out of the three featured in the promo that’s the least interesting. I’m not really sure why, but it’s not going to be the same is Skinny doesn’t beat her up, then take her purse.
So Fadam does get together, but the writers brilliantly continue to keep Fiona’s drinking problem in the picture. Yeah the promo definitely implies that Fiona’s a lesbian (which also implies that she remains unaware that Adam has girl parts)…and specifically Fiona wants Holly J. Why Fiona is in denial might be the most interesting part.
FIONA: Drinking makes it easier.
ADAM: Makes what easier?
FIONA: Being with you.
Excellent dialogue. And kudos to anyone and everyone who predicted Fiona was a lesbian when she first came on the scene.
Eclare having problems is a shocker. Even more so is that Clare is the one that wants out. I know a lot of people are tired sick and tired of them already, but watching them implode (aka the tension comes from within their relationship, not outside forces like parents, etc.) could prove to be spectacular. We can all assume that everything literally boils down to 4/22/11, not only the airdate of the final episode of the season, but also the anniversary date of Julia’s death.
It’s already begun. The Eli fangirls are already turning on Clare. They’re going to hold her “personally responsible” if Eli dies. I’m simply amazed at a lot of the comments on the youtube pages of these promo vids. I can’t believe so many people are blindly jumping to Eli’s defense, and (to an extent) trying to demonize Clare, as if breaking up with someone who you think is suffocating you is a bad thing. It doesn’t matter if Eli is the greatest human being that ever existed….these young girls have obviously never experienced a clingy relationship.

Other things to discuss:
*Sav apparently watches as the women in his life (Alli and Holly J) are dealing with some issues of their own. I wonder what personal issues Holly J ends up dealing with.
*Bianca and Drew…are they going to become a legit item? And is Bianca the one that helps him get high?
*Jenna , the baby and KC. We’ve seen literally nothing about either of them in these final episodes.
*Dave and Sadie…I’m curious to see how in the world they end up getting together.
*Riley and Zane feel like they’ve dropped off the face of the planet. But I can’t wait to see the reaction of Riley’s mom when she walks in on Riley and Zane kissing.

AMEN! I mean, I love Eli <3 I love Eclare… but I've been in a clingy relationship, and it's enough to want out. I guess it just depends on what kind of girl you are. Either way, clingy relationships can definitely make someone you find super attractive and amazing seem annoying. As far as the whole blaiming clare for Eli dieing (if it happens), It's his choice, not hers.

immean she promised thought she promised that she would be with him forever and u kno he has a problem with letting things go. if u havent noticed i htink he is affraid of losing her so he is doing everything he cacn just in case something happenes to him or her. and possibly because of this “breakup” clare wanted he may be the one to depart for real. no one likes clingy, but, she should have chose her words more wisely. she should have said something like i will try my best to help you or i will TRY to stay with you instead of “i will never leave u i will always hbe here with you.” i think im gonna be pretty mad at clare for this i repeat i will be mad at clare not aislinn paul just clare. its just eli wasnt doing anythign wrong and she could have told him about him “suffocating” her in a nice way and maybe he woudnt have freaked out like that. she should have told him the truth as soon as she felt “suffocated” te point is i hope eli doesnt die he is my FAVORITE carachter out of all of them I DONT WANT HIM TO DIE PLEASE DONT LET HIM DIE if they let him die then i will NOT EVER NEVER EVER NEVER EVER WATCH DEGRASSI EVER AGIAN! i hope the writers of degrassi can see this the ratings will go down on that show.

The storylines better not become too unique to the point where it feels soap opera-y. The only one that doesn’t seem overly unique is Alli’s. They also better not make HJ follow in Paige’s footsteps and become a lesbian lol

and Eli and Clare. hmmm! I hate to go in depth just about these too. But I’m not going to lie, I’m a part of the Eclare fanatics. But I’m also a Clare/Aislinn fan. I love Eli/Munro too. But I’ve always looked at Clare as an Independent, so I see them as two seperate people who just happen to be dating. No blaming another or anything. I love them both and can’t wait to see where the writers take this. And right now I’m hating on the Clare haters because Clinginess is the f**king worst in relationships. So no Hating on Clare!
Also no hating Eli either. Becuase Kary even said this in his Try Honesty Review about maybe Eli has some sort of Mental problem or something. I’m starting to agree with that after I dinied it then. Maybe there’s something more wrong with him other than a dead ex-girlfriend and being a hoarder. Oh Eli where are you going to be taking this???

I agree. Eli hasn’t gotten over Julia in time, he can’t let go, and he’s gotten very emotional and clingy after Julia’s death. It must be a mental or psychological problem.

Fiona and Holly J is just…not feeling this. Rich, distant ice queen repressing her feelings for the girl who was dating her twin brother by terrorizing her, eventually becoming her BFF, and drinking herself into oblivion and dating the school transman while continuing to repress her love for her…it just sounds like some ridiculous soap opera.
Palex was more natural, more relatable. I’m all for Fiona being a lesbian, but give her something a little less Days Of Our Lives, please!

I dunno it makes sense to me, they are both adorable and I think they have good chemistry. Fiona is really unstable and Holly J would keep her in line. I don’t think it’s too much of a twist because I saw it coming like a season ago. I saw Holly J as a lesbian (or bisexual), before Fiona was on Degrassi, because she is independent and whatnot.

Any smart person could have known Fiona was a lesbian from the get go.I didn’t think of it but now it makes sense. The men in her life have only been Riley, Bobby, and Declan. We all know how those worked out. Now Adam is in her life and she wants to be with him, but she really wants a girl. Poor Adam. First, he was mocked. Now, he’s in the relationship he wants to be in, only to find out the girl is interested in other girls.

I’m interested in seeing where this Fiona/Holly J storyline goes.
Degrassi has needed a good lesbian storyline for a while. While I adored Palex, it was a little discounted considering that Paige was merely bicurious and Alex, who actually was a lesbian, never actually had any A stories that involved her being a lesbian.
But I don’t really see Holly J reciprocating Fiona’s feelings, and I think I’m okay with that. It would definitely be realistic, and if Holly J were to reciprocate, she would be bisexual at best, which would mimic Palex just a little too much.

We all seen Fiona developed. We all know what Fiona had to go through. Now with this whole Lesbian thing; I finally understand why Fiona wasted all her time with Riley when she thought he was GAY…
Now it was like Marco and Ellie, but Ellie wanted to help a friend and she also liked Marco.
Fiona and Riley; Basically Fiona was using Riley as a cover, and to help him figure he sexuality out. Now a straight girl wouldn’t waste her time like that. Another thing… Fiona never been involved in a sexual relationship. Everytime she was in a relationship she never mentioned sex, and even when Adam was helping her get with Drew. She told ‘him’ “Nothing sexual.” Fiona has always been into girls.
The whole being mean thing; reminds me of myself… Yes, I’m kind of still in Fiona shoes, but I’m a guy. {{I’m not gay, But I might be Bi I don’t really know.}} She was being mean to Holly J. because she actually liked her; she liked her so much to the point she couldn’t stand seeing her with Declan. She took it upon herself to try to get rid of her. Thinking maybe when she’s out the picture everything would be fine. But no… What makes her crazy is her sexuality. She doesn’t want to be Lesbian; she don’t want to be lonely. Fiona’s characters honesty confuses me. {{I was mean to this guy because I liked him a lot, and I couldn’t help it. I didn’t want to like guys. I love girls but this guy was just something else… I mean he was actually so cool I felt like I was going to die if I don’t stop! Nowadays I’m about to tell him I liked him… Just to help make my feelings go away, but I haven’t found the courage to do so.}} Fiona’s sort of like that with Holly J. But she still ahven’t admit that she like Her. Now I believe that she’s using Adam as refuge. And the whole drinking thing is like a cover, saying that the whole reason she drink is why she can stay with Him/((Her)). Overall I think this plot is going to be so interesting! {{I also used this guy as my refuge, when I was in the closet; I’m kind of still am, but I told a lot of my friends. And Now I think I’m starting to like that guy.}}
Fiona and Holly J. wouldn’t be soap oper-ish because we saw them developing just like Palex. It was in a friendship zone but there’s still a developing process going on there… And I love it!

rather insightful, coming from another doctor, this will be a good story line if she is a lesbian i imagine the only reason she wants to have a physical relationship with adam is because he is biologically female so i hope that they will give adam a nice girl to be with if she is a lesbian as for the fiona/holly j relationship while i do think they would be good together they haven’t shown any evidence of holly j being a lesbian or bisexual i don’t think they should make her one just for the sole purpose of being with fiona similar to how they did with paige in her relationship with alex making her bi for the sole purpose of being with alex and after they broke up they just kind of dropped paige being bisexual and never really did anything else with it and as stated in my earlier post on the mini marathon 3 thread i hope that if fiona is a lesbian her and adam will stay friends and hopefully develop a close bond similar to paige and marco’s friendship (a girl and her gay bestfriend except reverse) they do have good chemistry together whether it be as friends or a couple

If she dated Adam though, technically she would still be a lesbian. I kind of wanted her to be with Adam because I lost hope of her being with Holly J.

I don’t think that Holly J will return Fiona’s feelings. It’d be too similar to the Paige and Alex storyline. I think that allowing Fiona to explore the lesbian world on her own would enable the writers to show the diversity of the lesbian community, which the show needs to do, as it has with the gay male community. The show has always played it pretty safe when it comes to lesbianism.
We’ve seen a lot more action with respect to the gay males on the show than we have with gay females. We saw (Italian) Marco with (Ukrainian) Dylan, Tim, (Black) Eric (season 7); we saw Dylan with his “study buddy” (also named Eric, also Black), we saw gay male prostitution, we’ve been in a gay club, we saw (Greek) Riley with “SoccerStud”, and now with (Korean?) Zane. But the lesbian relationships have been a lot more tame. We had (Latina) Alex with (Ukrainian) Paige, and with Carla (with whom Alex never even shared an on-screen kiss). And that’s it. And now we’re getting mayonnaise on white bread Fiona and Holly J? Can we get a little more diversity up in here?
I feel as though the writers treat male homosexuality a lot more sensitively than they do female homosexuality. The gay guys’ stories seem to be imbued with a lot more emotion, physical intimacy (I’m sorry, but Lauren Collins NEVER looked entirely comfortable kissing Deanna), and pain than the gay girls’ stories. I’m sure that there are PLENTY of young lesbians who are struggling with coming to terms with their identities as Riley did, but the show has yet to present us with such a scenario. Instead, I feel as though the lesbian plots are treated more playfully, with more of a titillating angle.

But I’ll have to say Homosexual guys do have it rougher than girls do. Especially sporty gays. I mean the agonizing harrassment they have to face; That’s why it’s harder for guys to come out than girls. Yes, Girls still would get harrassed about it; dealing with straight guys making sexual comments and the girls make rude comments. But Gay Guys have to deal with comments, having trouble making guy friends, guys uncomfortable around you, and physical violence. Girls still would go through some of those things, but everyone knows it’s worse for the guys… Seriously Homosexual guys is never a playful plot; always should be taken seriously. And they show a lot of gay guys on the show trying to encourage guys to come out… That’ll it be alright!
Still I would really love to see a serious Lesbian plot carried out.

What if Fiona isn’t a lesbian? I mean, Degrassi has a way of tricking us with promos. Remember the Halo pt.2 promo when everyone thought that Jenna would have her baby? Degrassi tricked us then. Maybe Fiona is just complimenting Holly J because girls do that all the time. Also, Adam might say she wants a girl because Fiona is okay with him being an FTM and Adam didn’t expect her to be so accepting and he’s confused by that.

Come on, it all makes sense:
1. laughing at Peter in JCGE when he suggested they’d become an item.
2. her indifference towards males in general.
3. the fact that she was a virgin throughout season 9 (and likely still is. Why would she not have had any sexual encounters with boys unless it was important to the her character make-up?)
4. telling Riley that she would not have allowed him to kiss her if she thought he was straight, not wanting anything physical with him, wanting him to be her “boy repellent”
5. her defensiveness when Declan probed into her love life, calling her “boyfriend” Sebastien a “penpal at best”, meaning there was never anything physical between them.

yes, but there are two screen shots of him. He is driving in one and in the next he is in the passenger seat. I don’t get how that happens so I am assuming they don’t go together. Eli was supposed to “die” in the summer finale and he didn’t. I don’t think he will die. He was new in the beginning of season 10, so why would he be gone by the end of season 10?

I really like Eclare but I really want more Ziley action and I honestly think the writers forgot Jenna was pregnant because it’s been almost 9 mos.,the baby has to come out sooner or later! They also should focus on The three Tenners,Anya/Dr.Chris and the Holly J/Sav/Declan love triangle! So what if Eclare and Fadam is what the majority of the viewers want to see, they will eventually lose at least 1/4 of their viewers if they forget about every other student that goes to Degrassi! I LOVE Eclare/Fadam but I want to see more than relationship drama and sexuality issues! How about someone dealing with seizures (cant spell eppilespy), a bulimic/anorexic BOY, or a rare medical disorder..I don’t care I just want different,original storylines,with a better variety of characters… :)

Ick,Degrassi already handled bullimic boys with Toby and it was the most nervewracking degrassi episode ever (I HATE young Toby about as much as i hate Dave) The three tenners are just plain CHEESY. I cringed when Wesley gave Dave a purple nirple…It was on full house level of corniness. Anyis seems like a boring Patt (Paige and Matt) rip-off. HOWEVER we need more Ziley. I cant wait to see How Riley’s Mom handles a gay son. Marco’s parents were OK about it but maybe She will be the opposite. And I NEED more Kenna! She should have just given birth on the last episode!

Maybe even miscarriage. It’ll be interesting… I can’t wait to see what might happen, but even if she just have a perfect birth; it’ll still be fine. I just wonder How, where, and when it’s going to happen!

About baby Guthrie… if you watch the new much music promo KC and Jenna are seen but not together. Maybe just during the cafeteria scene. There is also no drama as teen parents shown between them. So I don’t think a disabled child could be possible if she had already had her baby by the start up on Feb 11th. Since there is no drama that is to be seen so far between Kenna I have thought that maybe the baby was given up for adoption? Also, a miscarriage could be possible but, we don’t see any grief coming from them. Going onto the topic about when she has the baby. It is possible that she had her baby during the time off OR she will have the baby ASAP when degrassi starts back up. I began speculating that when Jessica Tyler promoted the Feb. 11th return with an ultrasound picture. It will be interesting to see what happens!

In my opinion Alli running away for some reason is the most interesting storyline to me. I like Alli and it seems like a really good and interesting plot. I mean we already know her parents are really strict and that she does get in a lot of situations/trouble. Also, Eclare and Fadam are not something that I hate but I’m not really excited for them. I like Fiona and Adam but not together. I’d honestly rather Fiona be with Declan (haha) or almost any other guy or girl but we’ll see how it plays out. & I’m one of the people who think Eclare is majorly over used and I’m just overall tired of seeing them so even if there scenes/storylines are intense I don’t care as much (but I do admit that saying this before the ‘intenseness’ actually happens to them is wrong bc I’ll probably like it if it lives up to the hype).
Next the comment “It doesn’t matter if Eli is the greatest human being that ever existed” annoys me because people need to realize that Eli is a fictional character! There’s a difference between being in love with a character and the actor and there’s a difference in having a favorite character and being in love with a character.

Agreed. Melinda Shankar is a very good actress, so she could make it a little more interesting. Eclare will be interesting because they never have problems, but we ALWAYS hear from them. Fadam will be interesting too, but I think more people care a little more about Folly J.

I was excited to see a promo come out. I expected it to be as intense as the others that we’ve seen for season 10. But it did show a lot. It’s not the kind of trailer I’d keep watching after the episodes have aired though, if that makes sense to anyone.
From the beginning I thought Fiona would be a lesbian. She didn’t really seem interested in boys at all. But by season 10 I figured they just weren’t going to do it. This character has come far from being a prop in season 9 for her brother’s character.
I think All is going to be fun to watch too.
Okay I am an Eclare fan! I love them very much. But I do feel like they are overloading us. And I don’t want Degrassi to become that show that is all about one couple, so far no couple has been able to conquer that no matter how popular, not Sean&Emma, HollyJ&Declan, Paige&Alex etc.
I don’t want the writers to be heavily influenced by cries from fans.
Overall season 10 is possibly the best or at least second best season of Degrassi. Which is awesome because shows rarely can say that after 10 years.

I’m honestly most excited for Fiona and Adam. You never know what’s going on with Fiona. On top of the reasons that Fiona might be a lesbian, she drinks. Drinking usually means pain. This could be the top to it.
“It makes it easier to be with you when i’m drinking” also makes a huge point. As we all know, people usually do dumb things when they’re drunk, like have sex and kiss people. This might be the case.
And EClare, oh I love them. I honestly also thought Eli was smothering Clare. I doubt this “break” will last long. Also, Eli would never kill her, and he wouldn’t kill himself because of it. I thought that maybe something happened with Fitz, and Clare likes him now, and is taking care of him. Maybe she wants Eli out of the way to be him?!
Am I the only one who noticed Holly J in a bed, or something similar? She was still in her school uniform, which could mean something happened at school, or on the way home. Also note she looked tired. Maybe she just woke up, or just awakened form being knocked out.
Ziley, I can’t wait. Not much there, but I can’t wait for Rileys mom’s reaction. Will she yell, hit, kick him and Zane out?
Not too excited for Ali. It just seems too vague and short for me. I can tell it won’t last long; someone WILL find her, and her story will be over.

“Making” Fiona a lesbian is actually a VERY bold move on the writers’ part. Unlike Alex, who was more of a peripheral character, Fiona has been, along with Holly J and Clare, one of this season’s leading ladies. She has quickly become a favourite among many young female viewers, and her personal revelation may alienate much of her fanbase.
Characters like Riley and Zane were introduced as gay pretty much from the get-go, but Fiona has been developed in ways that don’t take her sexuality into account. Her lesbianism will no doubt be a hard pill for many viewers to swallow. I’m looking forward to see what happens!

ok, i have a few predictions/moments i want 2 share.
1) FOR PETE’S SAKE, ELI’S NOT GONNA DIE! he is such a new character and the writers KNOW that he has a HUGE fanbase! the writers also know that he’s such a new character, he wont die so soon!
2) have u peeps realized clare is the THIRD GIRL ON DEGRASSI 2 SAY THAT SHE’S SUFFOCATING (as far as i know, im still working om seeing seasons 5-9 and the boiling point of season 10)?! first it was Ashley to Jimmy, then it was Kendra to Toby, now it’s Clare to Eli! crazy, right?
3) fadam is FINALLY HAVING SOME DRAMA! re-read the following dialogue:
FIONA: Drinking makes it easier.
ADAM: Makes what easier?
FIONA: Being with you.
so, i think that adam told fiona about him being an FTM and she started drinking again. it sort of makes sense, right?
4) what the heck is eli slamming down on his car? it looks like pliers…
5) eclare having problems=maybe back 2 fitz? cuz, think about it, fitz might be there 2 comfort clare and all, etc. or blackmail her… and, dont kill me here, but i think eli might be trying 2 commit suicide after all of this…then those fanfics start to come true since eli may get into the hospital!
6)hj looks like she’s bandaged up and all in a hospital bed. ppl are saying SHE’S gonna die! idk…
7) fiona-lesbian thing. they’re probably trying 2 confuse us with the bit where s he says hj is beautiful. well, sometimes, girls say that as encouragement when one’s going on a date. “OMG that dress is PERFECT! and you look so beautiful!” *and scene*. anywho, she might think she’s lesbian or whatevs, idk.
8) alli running away, hmm? she must be escaping degrassi, boys, her new/old boarding school, etc. i dont know where that one will go…
9) degrassi may be having a dance? cuz, w/ clare and alli when they’re talking about eli and such, they’re wearing dresses=maybe a dance? without the dress-code?

i was wondering about them wearing dresses too because of the uniform policy i mean wasn’t that the whole reason for adam to throw the secret party so fiona could come and wear what ever she wanted versus going to the school dance and wearing a uniform so either its the end of the crack down, another secret party, or we may be looking at some scenes from another degrassi prom because even at real uniform schools the dress code is not enforced on prom

I’m really looking forward to the Fadam, and now I guess Holly J, storyline. I mean, I hadn’t quite expected Fiona to be a lesbian, really, but it makes a bit of sense when you look at her character up until now. I thought that she’d break up with Adam because she had a problem being with a “girl” (in all technical senses). It’s a good twist that, since she doesn’t know he’s a girl, I think, that she finds he isn’t what she’s looking for sex (i can’t exactly say gender) wise. I wonder what will happen when she finds out he’s a girl. It’ll be complicated because if she likes that he’s a girl, but he wants to be a guy, there will be conflict. (that whole storyline is a bit on the complicated side)
But Fiona and Holly J .. wow. I mean, I might have considered it as a passing thought, but not for real. I don’t think Holly J will be too into it. And what will Declan say? But I wonder what happened to Holly J. She’s laying in a bead with a band-aid on her forehead in one shot.
I really don’t find Ali’s storyline interesting, but EClare seems like it will heat up. I honestly don’t blame Claire, though, for whatever he ends up doing. Because if you’ve never been in a clingy relationship, it is suffocating. I’m glad Claire is trying to be independent, in my honest opinion. I love Aislinn, and I’d rather she’d not become known as part of “EClare”, but her own character.

It’s true that the promo could be leading us on, in terms of Fiona having a thing for Holly J, but it’s pretty clear from her expression and gesture when she tells Holly J that she looks beautiful that she likes her. The Holly J/Fiona/Adam storyline is going to be AMAZING. I’m nervous, but excited. If Fiona is a lesbian (which I’m sure she is) then I DO NOT want her with Adam. As much as I LOVE them together, it’s not good for Adam. I’m hoping for the best, though.

Fiona/Holly J- What if HOLLY J is the one who has the “thing” for Fiona? Just because Fiona wasn’t interested in a sexual relationship, doesn’t mean she’s a lesbian. She could be traumatized by some even from a male in her past (like Jane with her dad). Fiona could also just be asexual at this point in her life, just genuinley not interested in sex. Or perhaps, a farfetched theory, what if Fiona is a boy or hermaphrodite?! Could explain why she never wants anything physical. (The last theory was just a fun farfetched idea :]).
Clare/Eli- I think it would be nice for EClare to break up. The couple is so popular that if they go on any longer, the characters will always be known as EClare instead of individuals (as someone state earlier). Clare has always been a good strong character on her own, it would be nice to see her get back to that for a little bit, then get with someone new. I mean COME ON this is HIGH SCHOOL people! Eli’s character has had the most development out of any of the new characters in season 10 (Adam’s is just beginning). It will be great to see where they take Eli.
Alli- The show seems to be a bit less high school-y without the girl who wants to have the “perfect” high school life. I hope they give her character a reality check, it would be great development for Alli.

Ok, so it seems like everyone is assumming that the Fadam/Holly J plotline happens all in one episode. What if it’s a spaced plot? Like, I think in the first episode whe Adam and Fiona get ogether Holly J will be all against that. Then, in a later episode, maybe Holly J becomes more of a distraction for Fiona.
I say this because then they can really develop Fadam (which has a huge fan base)and foreshadow the events with Holly J. I mean, until the In Too Deep promo, the gerenal thought was that Holly J would be totally against Fadam, but Fiona wouldn’t really care what Holly J thught.

Um, just a thought, what if Holly J tries to convince Adam that Fiona is a lesbian after she catches them to try to break them up becasue she knows that Adam considers himself as a guy. And that’s how Adam gets the idea she’s into girls. Then when he sees her interact with other girls, he over reacts.

dammit! see, i have this thing about lesbian characters: i totally love them. im a straight girl, but for some reason, lesbian characters, on tv or in books or whatever, just make me really happy. and fiona is currently my favorite character. so, on more than one occasion, i’ve thought “well, the only thing that could make me love her more is if she was a lesbian.” and now she is, so i should be happy, right? wrong. because i was SO FREAKING EXCITED about fadam (adam’s my second favorite character). so, literally, the two things that i most wanted to happen are now conflicting with each other. dammmit dammit dammit!
but anyway, i highly doubt that hj will like fiona back. but fiona being a lesbian is not completely unexpected. she’s always been sorta female-oriented, not just with not wanting anything physical, but also just in little details. like, her imaginary friend (in umbrella, when she was talking to drew) was a girl. and in try honesty, she said to hj (one of my favorite lines), “once you marry declan and pop out a few neices for me . . .” notice: just neices. i know that those things definitely dont a lesbian make, but taken together, they just make her tending that way.
and one more thing: i remember way back in Breakaway, when fiona and holly j locked pinkies at the end. i was squeeing cause it’s exactly what brittany and santana do on Glee (any other gleeks here?). and then i remember thinking, “huh. well, now they both have to be bi.”

I’m also a lesbian-loving straight girl. I’ve always been tremendously supportive of the queer community generally, and as a voluntarily single feminist (who went through a brief questioning phase of her own), I’ve always felt a bit of a kinship with lesbians. Season 10’s shaping up to be the most sexually diverse season yet! A gay couple, a FTM trans teen, AND at least one lesbian.
I wonder whether Alli will be attending Degrassi again during these last few episodes? It would definitely be weird to have her re-enroll after only attending her new school for about 2 months. But I assume that her runaway plot will occur over the course of several episodes, so she can still be on the show without being a student of Degrassi, since she’ll be at home/on the street. For such an allegedly smart girl, her conclusion that the only solution to her problems is to run away is really immature and stupid. As for her presence at the dance, it’s probably one of those “secret” affairs again, so she doesn’t need to be enrolled at the school to attend.

I think that there have been a lot of hints that she would become a lesbian.when she knows that Riley is gay, she still wants to be with him. it seems like she wanted to help him. the only way that she could help him is if she knew what he was going through.I think that the reason Fiona never told anyone about Bobby was because he was giving her what she deserved, in her own eyes, finishing the trial will make all of her true feelings be known.
We also have to think that everything in all of these promo’s happens at the end of the season. My theory is that the only reason the Adam knows Fiona is a lesbian is that he caught her doing something with Holly J or something. I am not completely sure what she was caught doing, but i do know that more information than we have now will help understand adams words later.
Last thing. if fiona was just telling Holly J she looked pretty she would have been standing farther away from her, not been in the mirror in front of them, and she would have probably said it quicker or something. talking like that is not just as friends. It clearly states that Fiona loves her.

Some of my theories about how Adam comes to the realization that Fiona’s into girls:
1. During their game of truth or dare, she reveals that she’s fantasized about being with a girl, or that she’s made out with girls before.
2. After finding out that Adam is transgendered, she tries to encourage him not to hide his body from her, that she likes it the way it is naturally.

I just have to say something really quick, just because I am (just as the census seems to be around here) am getting a little fed up with the Eli-crazied population we’ve got ourselves.
Now, I think a smothering relationship is on we’ve seen before, but there was something that bothered me a little more about Eli. When he said at the end of the second one, something like “You said you’d never leave me” (or something to that affect…) right before he’s clearly about to do something stupid. To me, that seems borderline manipulative.
I know that a lot of people think Eli’s character can magically solve world hunger and stop global warming, but kind of behavior is scary. My sister just recently got out of a relationship that was SUPER manipulative; he wouldn’t let her see people without him, and when she did, he made her feel like the worst person in the world for wanting to be with other people. He even prevented her from seeing our family – it was awful.
That’s the sort of ‘smothering’ I sorta see. Now, I’d prefer it if Eli wasn’t that kind of person (and I know there’s some emotional scarring from Julia to take in account), but before fangirl crazies take a pitchfork to Clare, people need to realize that even if you’re dating the best person, like, ever (:)), you still need space and to see other people. And, heaven forbid, that it’s NOT Clare’s fault and it’s Eli’s…
I guess then the world’s gonna explode.

If you could create the perfect boy for Fiona, what would he look like and how would he act?

I think the perfect person for Fiona is someone gentle and kind, someone who can put up with her drama, and even calm her down a bit. With Fiona being so worldly and well-traveled, it would be nice if this “perfect” person could open her up to things she’s never experienced before.
I know it could be nothing, but notice she doesn’t say boy, she just says person. Just thought it was kind of interesting.

I did ask that about Holly J as well, but the scene was brief so it seems that people are overlooking it. I don’t think it has to do with the Fiona/Adam situation, I mean, I know that is one of her main plots right now, but I can’t see Fiona or Adam getting violent with her. If anything, MAYBE Adam could get mad if Holly J starts taunting him.
Anyway, I think it’ll be something like that, too. I just can’t see Holly J suddenly developing feelings for Fiona past being like a sister.

Dude they’ve been being obvious about it since season nine. There’s no doubt she’s a lesbian. The Holly J thing I’m not getting into. It would make since because it’s a terrible cliche that’s really common in reality. I don’t know, her liking of Holly J is probably nothing she considers huge. But she WAS willing to pay Holly J to be her friend, just to keep Holly J in her life. Which people don’t normally do. That was weird even for Fiona. Declan’s kind of a terrible brother. She’s supposed be a recovering alcoholic and he let her anywhere near alcohol? Eff, he’s just not cool lately. I think that whole thing was Fiona’s way of keeping Holly J close to her. And even though Fiona is most definitely a lesbian, Holly J’s straight. Meaning they wont try to throw another cliche at us again. Like Palex, which was fun for a while. Anything can be an OCD if it gets out of control. I’ll name a few less likely OCDs
– Counting: Like counting your steps, corners, items, and people; now that would usually be a quirk, but it’ll be an OCD if it gets out of control. Like they miss count and they gave to start over from where they started to count over.
– Thoughts: Compulsive thoughts is part of OCD! Like thinking you might cheat on a test ((I read an OCD book, and believe me it was weird a young elementary student thought she might cheat on a test because her teacher said if she catch them cheating they would get an F! ((The little girl was a great student)) She thought “What if my eyes wonder and I cheat and not know it. So every test day she would either stay home ((Faking sick)) or Keep her head on her desk ((She had back pains for that.)) . Thinking you are gay because you and your friends made jokes ((I also read this one, this boy started to think he was gay and he questioned it; he was scared because he wasn’t gay. He had dreams that he just grab some ones COCK! So he changed his walk ((He walked with his hands in his pockets)) and the way he talked. Thinking a loved one would die. Thinking of death! OCD are compulsive thoughts that come frequently even though you know it makes no sense but it still bothers you.
– Checkers: People who constantly check things! Now that goes into the whole “THOUGHTS.” They check their home so many time before they go to sleep making sure nothing is on, no one is in their home, and everyone is safe. The thoughts keep coming back and they have to keep checking over and over until they feel right.
– Order: People who have to have things in a certain order. They have to have Books on this shelf, pencil here and there. Everything have to be in a certain order, and if they are moved… Sometimes they feel something bad might happen.
– Perfectionist: That can also be an OCD; if something isn’t neat and right for them then they would do it all over again until they get it PERFECT!
– Clean: Clean, Clean, Yes Clean! These people feel like they or something isn’t clean. They always get COMPULSIVE thoughts that their HANDS ((Normally they always wash their hands.)) can’t get clean; they feel something sticky or something. They feel dirty. Or an item isn’t clean enough so they wear gloves use too much Hand Sanitizer, ((Which is bad because it’ll start to kill your GOOD GERMS.)) Mysophobia and this OCD are linked, the people with Mysophobia would try to avoid the germs by all means, and the OCD people would wash Obsessively.
Eli’s Condition!
-Hoarders: They collect; keep; pile important and even useless items. They do this because they feel, they have COMPULSIVE thoughts that something bad might happen to a loved one or to themselves. They can’t get rid of anything because they feel like it might be handy in the future evem though most of the things they keep; even they, themselves don’t understand why they feel like that, but they have to keep it! ((OCD is basically just a THOUGHT thing. It’s an OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE THOUGHTS that bothers patient.))

ok so heres what i think is going on with eli and clare:
tbh i think fitz is behind all this. i mean think about eli is probably starting to get all close to clare becuz fitz is back. maybe fitz does stay with with clare and its scaring the shit out of him. fitz is probably trying to steal clare away from eli and sadly its working. i think when alli asks clare does eli know this its becuz either clare has let fitz stay with her or shes starting to develope feelings for him. i also think when eli is talking on the phone with clare and he said u promised ud never leave me in his car hes saying this becuz maybe clare has chosen fitz over eli for something and thats just about the last straw for eli. i find this quite sad becuz i think back to how clare was so crazy about eli :( but this is just a prediction so u never no will just have to see how it all plays out

3. Eli and Clare. – Man, I love them.:3 But I do think Eli has more problems than just being a hoarder. Because if any normal person were to be told by their gf/bf they wouldn’t go try to kill themself. (Correct me if I’m wrong, but it looked like Eli was asleep or something in the car) But Eli does seem clingy. But I still don’t wanna see them breakup.

They haven’t done anything to make it seem that way.
They didn’t make it just about dating. If that was the point then every episode would be about a relationship. ((I haven’t seen an episode yet where it’s just about a relationship. Every character on the show had a storyline involving more than just their relationship Drama.))
I’ll name about five.
Holly J. Sinclair- Yes, her and Declan; then her and Sav. But look around that. She dealt with the Election. That’s the only thing I could think of for Holly J. for that fact that she was hung over Declan half of this season, therefore the rest of the things she done was for the best of her relationship. Holly J. is one that can carry her own plot with out an relationship, but at this point Holly J. is the biggest character with Relationship Problems, so yeah she going to have a lot of relationship plots!
‘Alliah’ Alli Bhandari- Now, she’s all about the BEST relationship. The only one we saw was Drew. ((For this season)) There wasn’t really many issues between them. Before she got with Drew she was trying to pursue that perfect High-School life style! Dealing with Dave, being #40 for Dave’s Degrassi’s hottest girls list; Her dance team to rival the Power-Squad; Her parents finding out about her history. Excellent! Just remarkable how they made this character drama intense with out involving her relationship so much like they did with Johnny Dimarco ((In season nine.))
Clare Edwards- Now, every sense she gotten with Eli she has been all around him. But she did carry her own plot with out him. Clare had to deal with Jenna’s rumor. Okay, that plot wasn’t so strong, but it was a setup for Eli. The whole parents divorce thing was just to help bring Eli and Clare closer. ((That doesn’t count as her own plot.))
Riley Stravos- Riley had carried his own with out Zane. Dealing with Drew Blackmailing him. That didn’t benefit His relationship with Zane, but it was an Okay plot for Riley, then it started to become personal with him and Zane.
Fiona Coyne- She carried a plot with out dealing with a relationship; Dealing with loneliness, and Alcoholic. Fiona is capable of carrying her own.
Degrassi hasn’t become all about relationship, but they are showing a lot of relationships and the reason for that because there are plenty of regular characters then there were back in TIME. They have to at least give the other characters a love-interest. Everyone would be like “I wish ____ They would get some one!” Instead of leaving the show like Bruce Da Moose with out getting SOME BODY TO LOVE! ((Justin Bieber))
Just like how you guys feel about Wesley! ((Lol))
Degrassi is just showing the truth and how things work. The writers are doing thing great and I think the show is stepping up a whole other level!

What about Fitz? I didn’t see him at all in the promo – and boy, did I look. That’s the one plot I’m most looking forward to. WHAT HAPPENS IN THE GODDAMN RAIN SCENE?!

I know they didn’t say Fiona slept with Bobby but what if they did? In the episode where he first hits her on the couch he says, “Come on we’ll make it quick!” I’m sure if they never had sex before he wouldn’t make it seem like a quickie for her first time, so it kinda seems like she did have sex with him before that.

I don’t think they had sex before the incident where Bobby hit her. He may have said that, but don’t you think she wouldn’t have been so against it if they had had that experience before? Also, there was something innocent about Fiona’s character in that plot line. She wanted to start over. I don’t think she would’ve rushed like that.

Don’t hate me but…I kind of want Eli/Clare to break up. Perhaps not forever but jeez, I’m started to feel suffocated myself with all this Eclare craze. I understand they were good together but I need a break from them together. I feel that both characters are really good on their own. Besides, just watch, Eli/Any Character will end up generating a huge fanbase because Eli has such a HUGE fanbase. So it’s not the end of the world if Eli and Clare don’t end up together for of eternity.
Concerning Fadam, I was all for them but if Fiona turns out to be a lesbian (which would be interesting), I don’t want to see them together. It wouldn’t work out of for either of them. I think they could have a good friendship though.
Plus, I’m still waiting on my dose of Ziley, I miss them so much! February seems like a century away.

So I was reading some previous comments and read that Eli has OCD, but I thought he just has compulsive hoarding?
Well anyway, if it’s correct that Eli does indeed have OCD, then I think it makes sense to why he might be suffocating Clare. I read somewhere that said, “Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder where a person has recurrent and unwanted ideas or impulses (called obsessions) and an urge or compulsion to do something to relieve the discomfort caused by the obsession. The obsessive thoughts range from the idea of losing control, to themes surrounding religion or keeping things or parts of one’s body clean all the time. Compulsions are behaviors that help reduce the anxiety surrounding the obsessions.”
In that case, maybe Clare becomes Eli’s obsession in which he begins to suffocate and smother her. So then when he looses her, he begins to panic and feel as though he’s losing control resulting in him doing something reckless. Someone stated earlier that in the scene where Eli slams something on his car, it looks like an orange prescription bottle. Maybe that’s medicine he uses to treat his disorder and then he might possibly overdose because of the strong urge to end the anxiety affects from his disorder, causing him to pass out while driving.
But then again, I’m no mental health expert, so who knows? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Hoarding is a form of OCD. People with OCD have many different habits…for example hittnig walls when they walk past, counting,overly clean(the most commenly known)hoarding (yes), driving…. I even heard of a guy who had to fake wash his hands like twenty times every time he saw or anyone talked about a certain typeo of car. Another hint, OCD is usually triggered by a devestating event in a persons past.

I feel as if degrassi is just repeating it self. Clare is the new Emma all conservative, spontaneous and idependent. Ali must be the next Manny going from good to bad. I dont really like to compare Sean to Eli because Eli is just sooo mych hotter and just an overall better character but maybe he’s replacing Sean. Also i think that Eli could kind of be replacing Ellie being all edgy and stuff (the writers named eli after ellie too) and maybe Anya could be the new Ellie because she helped Riley through his confusion just like Ellie helped Marco. Fiona could be Paige or Holly J could be Paige. Marco is Riley and Zane could be Dylan. Adam is a completely different character along with K.C., Jenna and Drew. Wesley, Connor and Dave could be like the new J.T. snd Toby crew ( but no one could ever replace my J.T.). But overall I still love the old Degrassi AND the new Degrassi!

Each new character have a personality of each old character. I don’t think no one is the New Paige, Marco, Elli, Sean, J.T., Jimmy, Spinner, Ashley, Toby, Craig, Terri, Hazel, and Liberty.
Each character has their moment like them, but they don’t act like them at all! Holly J. was way worse than Paige. Fiona is nothing like Paige; the only reason she’s like that because she’s RICH! Riley and Zane are nothing like Marco; Marco was Girly ((Not Girly Girl, but not Boy-ish)) and Riley and Zane are Masculine gays. Anya and Eli are not the new Ellie; they does nothing or act nothing like she did. FYI- Fiona was helping Riley figure his Sexuality out. Eli is not a BAD BOY like Sean; He doesn’t act like him at all.
What I’m trying to say is “All THE CHARACTERS NOW ARE ORIGINAL!” That goes way back to when I said every teen act the same in a way.
Alli and Clare are also different from Emma and Manny. They are the hearts of the School like Emma and Manny were, but they are way different. Alli never want too far to Exploit herself to the whole School like Manny; Clare never gave a BJ, received an STD, and Anorexic.
How they act?
They act nothing alike. You can honestly see the BIG differences between Alli and Manny; Clare and Emma. You can also see Similarities.
((I’m not trying to bash you; I’m just stating that it’s like the writers gave certain part of personalities from the older characters to each of the newer characters.))

Ok never b4 used possible future degrassi plot. Eli is nearly killed in car crash and tells clare he will kill himself if she breaks up with him so clare is then forced to maintain a relationship she no longer wants and suffers emotionally.

Sooooo, I wanna say some stuff about Fiona and Adam. Firstly, I was super excited for this storyline cause I thought they could make a great couple but at this point I’m not so sure.
Why didn’t Fiona go to Adam’s party? Did she not want to or was something wrong?
I think Fiona is a lesbian but I don’t really think that she has feelings for Holly J and there’s no way Holly J has feelings for Fiona.
With the drinking dialogue (drinking makes it easier) I think it’s easy to assume Fiona has problems being with Adam because he’s actually a girl. But I think the real problem is, Fiona wants a girl but sees Adam as a boy. When she’s drinking it’s easier to see him as a girl. But that doesn’t work for Adam either because Adam sees himself as a boy and wouldn’t want someone who thought of him as a girl.

So, I’m most excited about Fiona, Holly J and Adam, but here’s what I think-if Fi and Holly J were really going to get together, they wouldn’t reveal such a huge plot point for a promo.
I think it’s a fake out.
However, I think that once Adam realizes that Fiona gay, he’s actually going to stop his FTM transformation for her.
That, of course, will make her happy and make him feel horrible and then they’ll break up.

I’m honestly most excited for Fiona and Adam. You never know what’s going on with Fiona. On top of the reasons that Fiona might be a lesbian, she drinks. Drinking usually means pain. This could be the top to it.
“It makes it easier to be with you when i’m drinking” also makes a huge point. As we all know, people usually do dumb things when they’re drunk, like have sex and kiss people. This might be the case.
And EClare, oh I love them. I honestly also thought Eli was smothering Clare. I doubt this “break” will last long. Also, Eli would never kill her, and he wouldn’t kill himself because of it. I thought that maybe something happened with Fitz, and Clare likes him now, and is taking care of him. Maybe she wants Eli out of the way to be him?!
Am I the only one who noticed Holly J in a bed, or something similar? She was still in her school uniform, which could mean something happened at school, or on the way home. Also note she looked tired. Maybe she just woke up, or just awakened form being knocked out.
Ziley, I can’t wait. Not much there, but I can’t wait for Rileys mom’s reaction. Will she yell, hit, kick him and Zane out?
Not too excited for Ali. It just seems too vague and short for me. I can tell it won’t last long; someone WILL find her, and her story will be over.

I think the promos for In Too Deep were really well done. They did exactly what the producers wanted which is to create a buzz. In the end I think most of our assumptions will be wrong at some point.
My predictions:
Eclare: It won’t end because it is one of the biggest fandoms in Degrassi history. Eli will likely get hurt and it will bring him and Clare closer together. I love Eli and Clare together and so do various others and I know the producers know that. In the end they will do what’s right.
Alli: I think she will prove she has changed be able to return Degrassi.
Fadam: I’ve been waiting for them since I first saw their picture together. I think when Fiona said “It makes it easier to be with you” meant it makes it easier to be physical with Adam because it’s hard for her to be physical with anyone since the Bobby incident. I think Fiona and Adam are great together and when Adam says Fiona wants a girl I think he’s jealous of the relationship Fiona has with Holly J. Fiona has confided in Holly J for a long time and considers her to be a sister. Of course she likes her, but I think it’s nothing more but a hero crush. Holly J has helped Fiona through a lot and it may seem like a romantic feelings but i’m sure it’s strictly platonic.
You never know what you’re going to get with Degrassi though. Overall the rest of the season looks promising and fulfilling.

I definitely don’t see Holly J. and Fiona actually becoming a couple, but I am very interested in seeing how Fiona’s feelings for Holly J. pan out.
On a related note, I have a theory about Adam/Fiona: Perhaps Fiona IS aware that Adam is transgender, and that’s exactly why she’s dating him. She knows that he is biologically female, and that’s what she wants, so that’s the reason she’s with him, which of course conflicts with Adam’s desire to be viewed as male. I might be wrong, but with the way Adam’s identity came out at school, I don’t see Fiona not having heard about it.

I agree. I think when she told Drew she didn’t know the “big secret” that she was lying. She likes that Adam is biologically a girl but wants everyone to think she believes he’s physically a guy.

I called Fiona being a lesbian as soon as she was introduced! I haven’t been watching this show regularly for a long time, but I want to see her storyline.
I hate EClare, but I hope that Eli doesn’t die, because if he does, fanfiction.net will crash. Plus, it will piss me off if they give Clare all of these huge storylines dealing with Eli’s death, while they didn’t bother to that for Liberty after JT’s death.

Okay well I just started watching Degrassi when Eli arrived so i dont know all about the other characters.
Alli- Ive never been a huge fan of her and I honestly find her part in the promos to be slightly less entertaining but how does she get back to degrassi? Where was she going in her new uniform?
Fitz- I am anxious to see what twist he will bring to the whole Eclare situation(s)
Fadam- Well alot of things can be interpreted from the promos but as for Fiona being a lesbian I’m not saying its impossible but it would be confusing in terms of her and Adam.
Ziley- That seems like it would be funny and thats all I have to say on that subject
Sav- I am kind of curious as to why he yelled at Alli but I’ve heard rumors that its because she told about Sav’s relationship
Eli- I am extremely found of Eli as a CHARACTER. I can understand where Clare is coming from when she said hes suffocating her because from the promos thats how it appears but as we know promos have a way of giving us false images. What confuses me is what Eli slams on his car, what did Clare tell Eli (from Alli and Clare’s part), what happens with the 2 DIFFERENT car scenes he’s in and I know that Julia will have something to do with the new episodes but I would like to know what.
Clare- I noticed that at the end of the second promo Clare had on the same makeup from when at the “dance” with Alli but she also was wearing the same denim jacket that she wore when she “told” Eli that he was suffocating her so that has me puzzled. Could it be that she told Eli that he was suffocating her then went to the “dance” and told Alli that something that might have to do with why she told Eli that he was suffocating her then left the dance, attempted to call Eli and thats when you heard the crash. Or was her and Eli being on the phone the part when Fitz appears in the rain? Like I said two different phone calls two different car scenes with Eli.
Holly J- Where is she laying and what happened to her forehead?

im sooo excited. I hate being a cliche but, i love eclare & i literally cant contain my xcitement 2 see how their relationship & their chracters turn out in the nxt half of the season.
As for fadam, that i cant wait 2 see. Enuf said.
Ali, im happy shes coming bak. She just kind of a fun character w/all her hs shallowness.
Jenna & kc, i found a website that listed tweets from the characters that were posted when they were filming & he dropped some hints bout the baby. Then said he waz lying. And then said he waz lying bout lying hmmm…..

As for Eli/Clare/Julia, i JUST came up with a theory. I think the “You promised that you would never leave me” and him appearing to fall asleep is a flashback. I think that someone was driving him to go look for Julia (it doesn’t look like he’s at the wheel and if it’s a flashback, that makes sense because Eli was only a freshman when she died), and he was on the phone with her. During that phone call was when she got hit by the car and he either heard the brakes squeal over the phone or saw it happen. The only problem I have with that is that it doesn’t appear to be a flashback at all.
But in one of the scenes where he’s in his car, he is at the wheel. So this must be at a separate time.
Also, when Clare says “You’re suffocating me!” the look on his face looks like he is startled and remembering something… I think this is what he and Julia probably fought about when she died.
Those are my thoughts, but I guess I’ll have to endure the antagonizing wait.

Not bad but unfortunately your wrong because I just saw a new promo and when Eli was having a flashback as you predicted he was infact driving and arguing with Clare but I missed part of what he said she and him will get into a huge fight which you might have gotten right but no Eli was definately driving when on the phone with Clare

ive heard some rumors…eli DOESNT die,its declan who dies andfitz shows up at clares door and steals her to basically rape her and shes missing for a week or so and holly j id say shes in the hospital because she was in the car with declen talking to him at the time eli was on the road and when eli closed his eyes he slammed his car into declan making him die and holly j injured.FADAM on the hand are going out but that not best for fiona because shes drinking again.drew and bianca get high before the game and drew plays the drum.riley and zane start to kiss in his room and rileys mom walks in shocked.now eli isnt totally over julia,shes darker than eli and died in a crash with eli and the baby because she was pregnant.johnny comes back and anya goes out with the doctor.

I think youre wrong Kary, I think Fiona does know Adams a girl. Thats why she says she wants him because he has a girls body and thats why Adam says “face it Fiona you dont want me you want a girl” Like a real a girl. And Adam doesnt want her to want him because he has a girls body, he wants to be a guy and be seen for that. Adam doesnt want to be a lesbian couple he wants to be a boy/girl couple.

The writers in the past have made the promo look like something was going to happen and then it didnt and it went in the total opposite direction like when they made it look like Jenna was going into labor. Therefore i really dont go by whats in the promos anymore.
But, i hope Eli doesnt die(which i doubt he will) because he is my favorite character and when i thought he got stabbed i cried…..
In the fiona case i think she is lesbian but i am not completely sure because she could have been drinking when she said that holly j looked beautiful. Also when Adam discovers that she is lesbian he could get mad because he wants to be respected and viewed as a guy and fiona wants him as a girl
I also wonder what will happen after ali gets robbed which is what it looks like in the promo.
I hope In Too Deep will have as much drama as the promo suggests.
