The “New Rules” are in place at Degrassi, but I’m not sure I’m on board with it yet…mainly because I don’t have faith that they’ll stick with this whole “strict” Degrassi theme for very long.

Okayy did this creep anybody else out i mean these new promos(especially because of the light ing and the screaam at the end) are starting to remind me of horror films a little bit lol.
Okay so heres my analysis of the promo:
i sorta think that alli says jenna instead of dad a little bit. Most likely she said dad but i could sound like both. Its the type of thing that what you think it is makes it sound the way it does.
Declan comes back for holly J. YAYYYY- but it looks like she wants to stay with sav but has sex with him anyway by her- i didnt expect things to go as far as they did. But they easily couldve taken that voiceover from another scene an put it in here. And sav gets pissed
It looks like Clare throws out somthing of elis and he freaks out. Makes me think about what could be that important to him. Maybe somthing old of julias or she just threw somthing random away that was more than it seemed to eli cus i cant picture her throwing somthing away that belonged to his dead ex.
Jenna is due in the next part of season 10 so we will see what she will do and what will happen. Her am i seeing things could be her seeing kc and bianca making out and complaining to somebody about it.
And i was thinking that since getting a divorce can be seen as unchristin in some forms of religion and maybe clare thinks that god doesnt love her or her family anymore cus her parents are fighting and her sister got raped and dissappeared in africa maybe she starts changing her church girl ppersona.

If you look at the first promo where Eli is freaking out and drops all his papers, i think in the 2nd promo he is picking up the same papers he dropped. So I don’t think Clare threw anything of his away. For some reason I think whatever Eli is freaking out about is not Clare related,(but then again it could be). I think the fact that he was music sheets with him could be a clue, like he failed to get into the music program? over reacts, and trows a fit.

scratch what i said, I watched the promo again, and paused frame by frame, in one frame(which was really hard to pause on) eli is by the lockers with clare and he seems to be mad and storming off somewhere, next he is sorting through the recycling bin? So I think it was something that clare told him that made him look through the trash, and watching the first promo i see the scence are unrelated(maybe, its hard to tell) I still say that whatever was trown away wasn’t by clare since she is trying to call him down, if it was something she did wouldn’t she be apologetic? ….I’m excited to see what is actually is happening, lol we could all be wrong.

Maybe Clare adopts the goth/emo look in response to her parents’ divorce, in an effort to freak them out a little, in hopes that they’ll stay together. Somehow, the makeover doesn’t seem sincere like it was in season 2 with Ashley. Though we haven’t seen man promos yet, I feel that Clare is doing this more for attention.

Here are my predictions.
I think Eli is incredibly frustrated with all the new rules. And when he said “I cant believe this! I was looking out for you!” he meant all i did was look out for you and this is what happens. I think its safe to say Clare turns emo/goth in a rebllious act against her bickering parents. I think Mr.Simpson might blurt out to Mr and Mrs bandari that Alli sent Johnny naked photos and they take her out of degrassi. Jenna might be freaking out and going into labor or she sees KC with another girl. But aside from predictions can you REALLY blame mrs torres for freaking out so much? Hell if i was her i would have taken my kids out of degrassi instantly. Mr simmson is nice but damned if he isnt the worst principal in degrassi history. He makes Shep seem good at least he kept things in order. She had no right to call Alli a whore but still…

Can I please just say I am thrilled to bits and pieces for this season premire! It looks amazing! I’m actually considering skipping my schools homecoming this year for it (and it’s my senior year)! I’m so happy degrassi has been around as long as it has I literally grew up with the show (I’ve been watching since I was in third grade when the show came out) and it just keeps getting better and better.
I’m seriously betting my money that Mrs. Torres (being the obnoxious pain-in-the-rear butinski that she is, is going to notify principal Simpson that Ali attempted to “sexually attack” drew in the boiler room on the night of the dance and Ali is going to be in massive trouble…maybe shell be expelled but I think it’d be more likley that her parents would make her leave degrassi on her own…and send her to like a traditional Muslim program/school thing or something but who knows?
And poor, poor, poor Clare. She has honestly become my favorite female character this year (it used to be Holly J but I feel like she lost a lot of what made her “her”, if that makes any sense). I really hope Clare handles her parents situation in a healthy way. I’d really hate to see Clare do something shed end up regretting in the long-run.
Also, Im completely lost on the whole Eli thing. I mean that’s so up in the air it’s crazy! lol. I mean maybe fitz returns to degrassi all changed and reformed and Eli doesn’t understand clare’s current situation with her parents and Clare confides in fitz and fitz develops feelings for her and tries to make a pass at her and Eli sees? I doubt that’ll be the case, but it’d be interesting. lol any one else have ideas?!:)

I’m not trying to be mean but DON’T miss your last homecoming for a TV show. Season 9 premiered on my sophomore homecoming but I had to miss it but I just watched it later that night lol. Like I said I don’t wanna be mean but saying your gonna miss being out at a nice event to watch Degrassi which will be on when you get home is kinda pathetic haha. Especially that it’s your senior year! I just feel like you’ll regret it when you sit home waiting for it to come on and then in an hour its over and you have nothign to do while your whole school is at the game lol. Just record it, tape it, watch it online, or watch it when you get home because it will still be on, or the next day if you really have to. But I agree with the whole Clare is a great character and Holly J lost all her spark. Jess is a new character for the second half of the season she was in 1 of the episodes for the boiling point 99 problems she was the 1 that sided with Bianca when alli tried to get them to preform at the pep rally or whatever and she said something like Biancas rite….and were a team blah blah but she will have a bigger role this half of the season along with another girl who has not appeared at all and sam Earle tweeted there not allowed to give away her name yet so basically we no nothing about her yet

My thoughts:
-Dave and the other class reps are now hall monitors who carry around tasers, hence why Dave has one in the other promo.
-Mrs. Torres definitely told Alli’s parents about the boiler room incident, making Alli sound as whorish as possible. But I don’t think Alli will be leaving for long, if she leaves at all. I kind of have the feeling that story will only last two episodes; Alli’s parents are horrified, threaten to send her away, but then something happens (Drew actually stands up to his mother and her parents, maybe? Luke DID say Drew would go through some GOOD character development…), and her parents change their mind.
-Declan comes back to woo Holly J, and she is shocked to realize she no longer cares for him…But goes back to him because she feels that she should. Sav is hurt, because he thought they had something, prompting her to say she didn’t think it would be like that and him calling her naive. But Sav and Holly J will eventually come back together. Maybe they’ll even be endship? Who knows? Stranger things have happened…*coughspinnerxemmacough*
-In slowmo, you can see that Eli is staring at the garbage can while standing next to his open locker…So I think he probably came back to Degrassi to find that his locker has been searched and something important to him was thrown out. There’s a good chance that it COULD be the sheet music he’s picking up, since he’s shown nervously dropping it in the other promo. Maybe Eli’s become a band nerd? :P I also think (or rather am desperately hoping) that there isn’t much drama with him; he’s just upset at the moment for losing something important to him. Maybe he’s suffering from PTSD though.
-It’s been confirmed that Clare’s parents are suffering, so obviously a large part of her emotional trauma has to deal with that. And I also believe that her transformation has nothing to do with Eli, just with either the drama club or in an attempt to get her parents to notice her. And, yes, I think she will definitely question her religion. Whatever; as long as she stays out of Eli’s pants, I’ll be happy. I love Eclare, but she should NOT have to abandon her ideals to be with him. Period.

HA I agree completely. If you look at pictures people have seen of Jess, she’s with KC in the picture. On the set, some of the cast will update twitter and in the past week the new unnamed girl is not usually on set with Munro or Aislinn.

I disagree with a lot of the theories on here concerning Alli’s exit from Degrassi. I don’t think she leaves Degrassi for something she did, but rather for something that she’s going to do. Think about it. She wouldn’t get kicked out for having a relationship with Drew or being in the boiler room (even though she didn’t do anything in there). Those activities occurred before the new rules were enacted. Second, the new promo said something about breaking the rules so clearly Alli is going to break a rule in one of the first couple of episodes, and that’s why she leaves.

i was thinking (not sure if other people thought this too) that if alli leaves degrassi for something she did already, then it wouldnt be because she broke a rule. it would be because her parents would be punishing her. personally, if she ends up leaving for more than a few episodes (and to me, it still seems like thats all she’ll be gone for, since melinda was mostly gone while they werent even filming), i think her parents will send her to india to stay with family, or maybe to some sort of muslim school, or something.

alright, so someone earlier said that it sounds sort of like alli says “jenna” and not “dad”. when i was watching the promo on here (on the internet, i mean), i thought it was just that the audio and video were off. but i’ve seen it on tv a couple times now, and i’ve finally realized (sorry if everyone else already knew this) in the seen with alli and her parents, ALLI’S MOUTH OPENS (like maybe she wants to say something and decides not to), BUT SHE DOESNT SAY ANYTHING. the audio line there is from a completely differnet scene, that we obvioulsy havent been shown. and i’ve also noticed something really weird: when you watch the promo here on the internet, alli definitely sounds like she says “Dad, I’m sorry, but I can explain.” but when i saw the promo on tv, alli very very VERY cleary says “Jenna, I’m sorry, . . .” i have no idea how this happens, since “dad” and “jenna” dont sound all that similar, but since the tv sound system is (i assume) better sound quality than my computer’s speakers, im pretty sure she does indeed say “jenna”.

okay so watching the promo (yet again), this is what I think why Eli is pissed off. He isn’t taking the new rules to well, (maybe the fact that he had something to do with the dramatic change doesnt help things) so did the school have a massive locker clean out and threw away things in peoples lockers? Eli is pissed his stuff is gone so he attempts to find it in the recycling bin. Clare is trying to calm a frantic Eli, who yells “I can’t believe this” 0.o;; thoughts? I only half believe that the school would clean the students lockers, even though they are enforcing their rules hardcore, what is their reasoning/excuse to invade the students personal property? I would love to hear what you guys think.

Technically, the lockers belong to the school so they really only need to be suspicious to rade your lockers. Though I don’t know if they would do it without the student being there.
I think you prediction makes sense. But it would be more convincing if maybe they threw away something uber important to him then he gets so upset. Unless he is one of those people that gets freaked and stressed out over change and stuff

I think it’d be great if they went back to this whole Degrassi boycotting thing. Like them boycotting this whole new rules effect and have the student body fighting for their rights or something… Or even better. Have the teachers not so on board with things and go on a strike. Something that can affect these highschoolers that we haven’t seen in a bit/while/not at all.

Judging from Fiona’s Twitter, I don’t think her problems with alcohol are over. Last night she tweeted something about how she was watching a cheesy movie at her New York penthouse and drinking a bottle of bubbly. Today she’s drinking mimosas with her mom. This is weird for a couple of reasons. First of all, she can’t legally drink in the U.S. Second, why would her mom allow her to do it after what happened in Purple Pills? Echoing one my previous posts, I think that the name of Alexx’s character might be a giveaway to a plotline, so that’s why they are keeping her details under wraps. If her character’s name was some random name like Michelle, Susie or Beth, there would be no reason not to reveal it. But if her name was Julia, then this would be reason enough not to disclose any information about her.

Leia gets herself killed via taking advice from sizzle teen but nobody cares. Anya is kissed by Wesley but she pushes him away and says “Sorry i dont like you like that” and then says suuuper bummer. Riley and Zane break up because Riley goes back in the closet and Zane punches him and they both get expelled which is why they havent been seen yet. Darcy comes home with an african tribe along with Mia and her super models and they all have a war and Clare says STOP IT! Eli cant believe it isnt butter.
