CTV published an article today which gives a tad bit more information about Degrassi Season 10 (CLICK HERE to read the full article.)
Some of the information we already know (such as the first 24 episodes airing during July/August), so I’ll only highlight the two NEW tidbits of info:
*The final 24 episodes of Season 10 will begin airing in its normal weekly format on Much Music starting in September
*Snake (Stefan Brogren) will be Degrassi’s NEW PRINCIPAL!
The most interesting part is that the second half of Season 10 will start in September, which is an earlier start than normal for the show. They are not kidding around this year…they know we want Degrassi sooner than later, and they’re giving it to us!

First of all, Thing 3 didn’t say anything wrong. Besides the fact that that is obviously not Clare, his gramma is horrible. It is WAYYYY uncalled for to tell someone to shoot themselves or get run over by a truck.

Well it’s just a headline, but since Season 10 starts in the summer Snake will obviously be the principal before september…it’d make no sense for him to be principal for just half of the season lol

I doubt Darcy will be back (since Shenae seems pretty busy with her other show).
The characters I believe are leaving are: Jane, Johnny, Bruce, Manny, Emma. (just from main characters, not completely from the show I hope) Also Leia will only be in the first 24 episodes :(

gawsh, they cant bring her in and shove her in our faces and get rid of her without having her do anything important. She has to have a point of her existence in the Degrassi universe and so far there hasn’t been. So I hope in season 10 she gets some real character development and a solid plotline for her. If she’s leaving then she should kill herself, no one has commited suicide in the next generation and that would give her a point for sure.
but anyway.

I don’t think it will be summer. It will be first semester, and second semester. Finally a full year. Cause they are really behind on the timeline. I think Degrassi world is still stuck in 2008

hey kary! idk about CTV, but here in the U.S. on TeenNick they are referring to “Keep On Loving You” as the season finale..i thought degrassi takes manhattan was the season finale?

because snake has seniority as a teacher with a good reputation. he also has a great relationship with the students on and off the set. it makes him a good candidate and makes the show more interesting
