This weekend over at TeenNick.com, they’ll be posting clips of “Degrassi love” from episodes from Season 8 and 9….and quite frankly, they’re lame. Really? there weren’t ANY other better examples of love that you could’ve chosen from the show?
1) Peter says “I love you” to Mia. (Danger Zone)
They’re the most contrived couple in history. Nuff said.

2) Holly J visits Spinner in the hospital (Danger Zone)
Now this one isn’t too bad…actually it’s a GREAT scene in context of the episode. But I wouldn’t consider it a love-esque scene by any means. Man, TeenNick must really love Spolly J *hint* *hint*.

3) Clare and KC kiss. (Danger Zone)
Their kiss reminds me of the Semma kiss from White Wedding, with its awkwardness. I think it was also more cheesy than necessary because of the music playing when they locked lips. Awkward scene or not, it’s the only one of these Degrassi Love clips that actually FITS!

4) Emma and Kelly’s first date. (Lost In Love)
Huh? The clip is right after their date, when they walk to the dorm room, and as they’re about to kiss Kelly’s ex pops out of the blue and wants to talk. From that entire storyline, this is just a really random clip to show.

5) Jane apologizes to Spinner. (Lost In Love)
I guess it could be considered a love clip because Jane actually says “I love you” in her speech.

6) Sav shows up at Anya’s Larping wedding. (Beat It)
*sigh* Another completely random clip. Yes, I get it, they’re at a wedding. And Sav showing up shows he isn’t a complete douchebag. But there are much better clips of Sav and Anya in other episodes that would get the point of love across so much more clearly.

ANYONE can edit it, so it can be completely inaccurate, Degrassi Wikipedia doesnt have anything written for the episodes that have not been relseased yet. so you dont know what happens in the episodes, unless the degrassi wikia is correct, which is possible, but can also be wrong.

Hey, Kaylynn? You’ll never know unless you try, but I highly doubt Stephen Stohn’s gonna tell you when Degrassi’s coming back. He’ll answer you, but when I asked him when Season 9 was coming back to Teennick, and for a summary to the movie, he only told me the summary! And what sucks is, they’ve already filmed all the episodes, and they have NEVER been this secretive before! Next season, I wouldn’t be surprised if there were no spoilers at all! And in reference to what you said about Blue and Leia? I wouldn’t be so sure. Remember her last desperate attempt to fit in?

I really think they’re setting things up for Why Can’t This Be Love to be Sanya’s breakup episode. I mean, aside from the title of the episode itself, for one of the most on-screen couples on Degrassi, they’ve NEVER had a two-parter! I REALLY hope this isn’t true, because I LOVE them together, but that’s really what they’re shaping this episode up to be. And what sucks is, that would make this their 2nd PREDICTABLE breakup! But anyway, if they wanna make any love clip show, they should stick strictly to season 9.

You know what’s odd? In Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Emma and Sean are looking back at their Season 1 photo, saying: That was us. Six years ago. Well, no. That picture was taken in the episode friday night, which took place in 2002. Sean got out of jail in 2006, which would have made it four years between the time that picture was taken, and the time Sean was released.

You guys should watch the reairing of Love Games tonight@9. They’ll probably be showing that ‘Love Will Keep Us Together’ OTS and a new preview, or at least an updated version that ACTUALLY tells us when it’s coming back. And keep your eyes peeled to the D&R Manathon tomorrow! You know Teennick Marathons and their Degrassi infomercials.

Supposedly Melinda Shankar accidentally gave away important news about season 10. Might of been the “big news” that Stephen Stohn was talking about. So get this, there is going to be 48 episodes in season 10! I think it’s a good idea cause then CTV and TeenNick won’t have to take any stupid breaks.

Seasons 1-5 had 1 year 1 season and most of the episodes were like under 20 episodes. So thats why i doubt it will be 48 ep season.

21 episodes are less then the current season, so obviously hes not gonna say that and make it less then usual. also
the reason he posted that was because melinda shankar revaled the 48 episode secret in an interview. she wouldnt say that for no reason, and he wouldnt have posted that on twitter if she just made it up lol. also, 21 episodes dont take course over a full year. 52 episodes do, but they cut out 4 weeks due to holidays making 48 episodes.

I’m working on a post that I’ll put up later, but I just find it odd that they (and by they I’m talking about CTV, not TeenNick) are going to air episodes of Degrassi outside of the Fall and Winter/Spring seasons. As for TeenNick, it actually benefits them since they’d have a consistent stream of episodes

Obviously that still-image promos were already filmed, and all those photos were from season 8. But check this: On February 1st, Shand Kippel tweeted, Going to set to film some new promos. So we should be getting some new one’s soon! And it’s been RUMOURED, I repeat rumored, that Jane cheats on Spinner in In Your Eyes and AGAIN in D:NYC Summer Of Love. And if the twincest really does come into play, this would leave both Spinner and Holly J. Single, and Spinner never said anything about NEVER dating her!!!

i dont think it will be incest lol, i think the thing between fiona and declan is that fiona gets in a “fight” with holly j, it was stated that the rivalry happens this season in an interview. im not saying you are wrong, i just cant see declan and fiona having a relationship lol, unless they have some dark secrets that we dont know about, or maybe they arent really related, idkk

And if you think about it, the whole Spolly J. Situation has been VERY SLOWLY building up all season. Along with 904/906, there have been very subtle hints. And Thing 3? Cute username by the way. I get what you’re saying. Maybe 24 2-part episodes? You have to admit, it would be cool, though. And hey, after season 5, they had a major change with semester per season. Who says they won’t go full year, longer season? Just a thought.

I think they will probably do what they did this season and just air 2 episodes a night and have the 48 like that. Regardless, im just glad Holly J and friends get alot of episodes before their send off.
I think Teenick tricked up, i dont think spolly j will happen. There has been no foreshadow or anything. Holly J is head over heels for Dec and Jane really hasnt had a plot since 906 so idk…
