Drake Injured At Concert

They like damn who’s Drake, where’s “Wheelchair Jimmy” at?  -Drake

Drake (aka Jimmy from Degrassi) collapsed while performing at a concert last night.  It’s reported that Drake tore his ACL a while back (if you remember, he performed sitting down at the BET Awards in June). 

Drake told MTV news that he decided to perform on the America’s Most Wanted Tour despite his doctor’s warnings:

“I didn’t really get any approval from my doctor, but I made a personal decision 48 hours ago that I’d be letting a lot of people down if I didn’t show up and at least show them I’m there for them,”

“…If I tear my ACL again, the doctors say I might not be able to walk again. I have to be cautious.”

Famous last words…while performing last night in Camden, New Jersey he was moving around and collapsed in obvious pain.  No word on his condition yet.  Let’s hope that he’s ok, and that this doesn’t become a case of life imitating art.

Drake posted on his twitter that he’s fine, but he’s gonna have surgery on his knee:

I was wondering what took so long for it to show up….someone finally posted a video of Drake’s fall on youtube.  It looks like he slipped, but you can also imagine his knee just sorta giving out on him as well.  That has to be a scary feeling.
