Degrassi: Next Class Season 4 will make its broadcast premiere on Monday, July 3rd on Family Channel in Canada. The Netflix worldwide premiere will be on Friday, July 7th, so Canada will get the first four episodes before everyone else!
Netflix will NOT release Season 4 in Canada on the 7th (Canada doesn’t even have Season 3 yet)…instead all episodes will be eventually made available “Netflix style” for Family Channel subscribers in the Family Channel App.

So they spend all of S3 building up to Maya’s suicide attempt and then don’t even touch on it at all in S4? She’s not even mentioned in an episode description until 6 episodes in and then they pretty much graduate? What a waste of a storyline. That was such a raw and beautiful story arc and then just like Manny’s abortion, they forget it even happened. I feel like they majorly dropped the ball here. So much potential to explore mental health and it gets wasted.

I hope they can come up a reason to keep Esme and Goldi around, kinda of a waste to just have them for two seasons.

I believe that Esme and Tiny are the only two seniors staying behind.
Also, I know that episode descriptions are always very very vague, but no mention of Rasha or Zoe reconciling with her mom? Was Rasha even in the promo?

A terrorist attack in Brussels, interesting. I live in Belgium, so it kind of caught my attention. I would rather expect that the writers would make up a terrorist attack closer to Degrassi, in Canada itself. But maybe they wanted it to be more real (and also be more internationally aware), so they based it on a event that really took place (the attack in Brussels airport on March 22, 2016). Curious to see how they will handle that, seeing it is such a current topic, with different points of view. I’m also a bit disappointed to read almost nothing about Maya, as she will (still) be handling her depression. It doesn’t just go away, a good friend of mine had a depression when she was younger, and it’s still a struggle everyday. And as Sarah noted, a lot of potential goes to waste, together with the credibility of the show. But maybe it’s a bit early to draw conclusions. These are only the descriptions, we haven’t seen the episodes yet.

Maya is going to be utilized a lot more than they are letting on. Like everytime they mention Esme, you know Maya is involved. Esme will do anything to keep her man, meaning Esme is getting insecure that Maya is going to take him. Maya, Zig, Jonah, Grace and Tiny are taking a camping trip, which Esme and the other girlfriends crash, meaning that she’s so insecure about Maya/Zig that she feels the need to latch. I think this season is going to have a lot in the way of Maya trying to grow into herself and recover, and Zig being there for her, and thus falling back for her. Not that I think he ever stopped.
But it’s really going to be Maya trying to get better and having her friends be there, and Esme getting furious. I think we’re going to see the Esme who pretended to be suicidal to keep Miles again, and that’s going to cause a huge rift between her and Zig. Esme has a huge problem with forcing things, and making them happen, rather than occurring naturally, where Zig and Maya are all natural chemistry.

[Oh and aslo sad that she lost aginast Zoe,Tristan and Miles.Those three charaters are not as cleever and smart as Goldie.But you know what they say the last is the first and the first is the last

Can I just put there I had the greatest Idea for Shiny[A.k.a Tiny and Shay} What if Shay brings Tiny’s parents and Vince[Or vince only]

[Oh and will we be seeing Tiny is season’s 5/6 because of shay.[Note.Eli was back at degrasi in season’s 13-14 for Clare]
