TeenNick just released a promo about Clare’s time on Degrassi. It’s been a while seen we’ve seen character promos, so here’s to hoping we’ll see lots of them for the graduating class during the next two weeks.

So who is the passenger with Clare heading to NY who has no idea whats going on? I doubt its Eli because he knows whats going on. So is it Alli? Jenna?, Imogen? Drew? So many??

I’m hoping it’s Connor, but that won’t be happening, although it would be nice if the writers would acknowledge that they were once good friends. Jenna would be an interesting choice, since she too was pregnant.
This promo only serves as a reminder that Clare was the wrong character for this stillbirth storyline. She’s already been through enough and had enough storylines. It’s over the top.

Clare doesn’t need anyone, I hope Clare leaves happy and to start her new life over. I feel every time shes is with Eli he brings her bad luck.. She needs to refind herself and to that she needs to drop some people and start fresh. I know Clare got accepted to Columbia but knowing Clare she told them she is taking time off. And when she goes to NY she will find out she will be put on a waiting list for Columbia. And that is the reality. So if that does happen will Eli be will to drop NYU to follow her? Or will she move on.

I’m with Robin, i kinda hope she leaves Eli and go separate ways (and maybe still keep in contact). But then again, the baby needs a father figure…(if Clare doesn’t get a miscarriage..) ……Oh so many things that could happen!!!

If Clare has a stillbirth or a miscarriage why would she go to NY with Eli, she would be bedridden.. Thats why I think she goes with someone who has no idea what has happened and it wouldn’t surprise me if it was Alli or Drew. Clare is known to keep people in the dark when real bad things happen to her.

See, that’s why I can’t find it in myself to sympathize with Clare anymore. It’s too much and too over the top. I felt the same way with Emma’s anorexia, Craig’s coke habit, Paige’s HIV scare, and Drew thinking he got Clare pregnant. These characters already dealt with enough and giving them more is just too much. If they pile too many issues on a single character, I just don’t care anymore. That’s why it’s best to spread these things out and not play favorites.

It’s life, but can’t it spread out to other characters instead of the writers’ favorites? Degrassi is supposed to be an ensemble show, not the Clare Edwards show.
