If you’ve been following the Degrassi 14B ping pong ball, then you’ve heard many possible returns for this block: April (after Open Heart season 1 airs on TeenNick), generic “Coming soon” and “Coming this spring” from network promos, May 26th, every Tuesday in June and now Monday, July 20th. So much for the spring premiere!
This most recent return date comes directly from MTV Canada as it prepares for its summer broadcast lineup. For a fandom that obsesses over the tiniest details and has been starved for information for several months now, I’m quite surprised at the lack of response toward the show’s return date being on a Monday. With 12 regular episodes and the 4-part special, you’re looking at 11-13 weeks worth of episodes if aired in the weekly format. It seems awfully weird to have a show end during the same time period (Late September/Early October) where every network in the land is premiering its shiny new fall lineup. We’ll have to wait and see to confirm, but the signs are there for the return of the beloved telenovela format.

Forgot to add that the Epipomie studio is also being used for Make it Pop. That could be they delay for filming Degrassi.. But it makes me wonder if they are filming Open Heart S2 Right after Degrassi or before.

I’m done. I’ll need a break from the show. I dont think her leaving is a rumor. The storyline is made to kill her off. I hope she feels bad for her last plan. But the girls need a happy ending.
Good thing is the block ends right before my bday. That’s good. If she goes free I’m going ape shit. Funny how they set her & Zig up. Knowing she will never get him. Her happy endings are disasterous
But with Gloria in it I hope for the best. I’ve been thinking about the show since it ended. Hell I should stop commenting… I might miss class:p

Maybe they’ll do two episodes each Monday. They could then get the season done in six weeks and then follow it up with the movie, which I have a hunch may be used to springboard Season 15 rather than wrap up Season 14.

Oh it will! I can feel it. Everything from 14A (minus Zig crap) is a conclusion. But we do get a good Frankie plot. She needs it. But the 4th ep will be epic. I hope Zoe’s plan fails. Its funny. She is like “I wanna do the right thing but
I dont wanna go to jail”. She’s hurting on the inside. & like HxV we saw some of that on the outside. Sure she’s trying to flee but it will ultimately end with her going away for GOOD! That is what makes it worth the wait. But if we see

It makes me wonder if Niamh Wilson & Ehren Kassam will be in S15 as Jack & Jonah. To me they seem like fillers for Imogen & Becky moving forward with there lives or figuring out what they really want & need after graduation. We all know the seniors are ending their arcs and not coming back. To me it seems like Jack could leave at anytime with her military family.. As for Jonah I have no idea. I feel that Imogen, Drew and Becky will be leaving Degrassi single. I know they will not follow up on Eli & Clare and baby in tow and fans will be pissed about that. Thats why I feel they will leave Eclare open like they did with Dolly J & Ziley. The only 2 I can feel endgame is Bhandallas & Jonnor.

I know Jack is a complex character thats why I hope they keep her. I do hope we get to see Becky & Jonah, maybe Jonah helps Becky go to the right path when she leaves. Hopefully single. As for Clare if she loses the baby it will be stillborn. I have a feeling Eli & Clare leave baby in tow and many Eclare fans pissed because they will never see the baby. As for Zoe who knows but I think she is in the last 4 ep finale/special for the underclassmen. So she may come back. I loved her character until the nudes. And I am happy none of the seniors are coming back. I want the to see those actors move on to better things. I realized too when they over play characters somehow they get ruined or fans just get tired of them. Also I hope the writers stop with these patterened romances in season 15, like Matlinsworth. I hope they learned their mistake from Eclare tragedy.

My prediction is that season 15 might be 1 hour episodes. only cuz after s14 there will be 19 episodes to ep400. to make it an epic season and switch things up wit da new owner but whoo knows

I calculated the dates & it should end either 1st or 2nd week in October. But I’m only here for 1 thing! To see Zoe go! That 4th ep 1st plot. I hope she gives up at the end. The storyline should have her getting her punishments. I dont see why not.
Its her last plan. She needs to stop actin stupid. Its like each time she’s making plans she’s hurting herself. Her 1st 2 didn’t last. I want something “expultion worthy” in that ep. I love to see villians go down. This is better than comics. I hope when
The finale happens she is already out of school & in police custody. There’s not that much left of her. So we just need to see her charges last. & I hope Frankie gets to be in the last event. That’s the kind of ending you cry & clap for.
Who cares about the seniors. I’m glad they go. But with 8 less people & no Zoe? Yipeeee!! Now I need to find that TV movie to see when it comes on. & where. I knew her storyline is killing her off. after she goes I’m taking a block break. She took

It is now apparently confirmed by MTV Canada (based off their in progress summer lineup, that Degrassi returns July 20th. Not exactly firm with this premiere date as of now as Summer starts about a month prior and it was first announced months ago (at least by Teennick) that Degrassi would return in the Spring. Granted, a month wasn’t given therefore 14B could have reasonably returned as late as June 21. I mean I’ve heard of pushing back dates, but for an announcement teaser that was broadcasted on TV, is pretty much suppose to happen as advertised. Something had to have gone wrong, otherwise if this was known to potentially happen before hand, there should have never been a promo as early as there was let alone mentioning Degrassi would return in the Spring (and a more common Spring month such as April or May as oppose to June). I have to say, at least over in Canada, MTV Canada airs current shows and new episodes. Teennick is the opposite of that with pretty much only airing reruns of old nick shows and often showing the same episodes. I mean there’s nothing new to the network. The bumpers and idents I believe should be revamped and new shows need to be made targeting all teens. It needs a new and more focused rebrand. TN needs something new really bad, and with Degrassi not airing at all but very early in the morning, TN can get repetitive and boring especially with it at times simply being another Nickelodeon. I have to say this is ridiculous and unappealing that this show is going through this mix-up, but my guess is that it was probably due to the change in productions with Epitome becoming DHX and all. Degrassi as a program today: 6/10 (hopes for improvement in the near furture) The running of Degrassi on the networks currently: 4/10 ( hopes for well excecuted and appealing non-Disney/non-kid-like promos for when Degrassi does come back. :-P -_- :-) >:-(

Do we know if it’s cancelled period, or if another outlet will pick it up or will continue on in Canada? I saw the audiiton list on this site, so clearly there are/were plans for a 15th season, and if you read what tvline wrote, DHX media says they will announce whats to come in days ahead. So maybe it will still air in Canada or maybe netiflix could pick it up? That would be great Degrassi would be an awesome binge watching show!

People, we’re not sure if Degrassi is defenitly cancelled. They only said they will remove it from TeenNick USA. But they still have Degrassi on MTV, if you’re crying because you live in the US (or somewhere else) and you can’t see this… YouTube is the answer.
So just hope that Degrassi is not gone forever… Because there’s a lot of nice people we want to see graduate :D
