With season 13 behind us, we can officially look forward to Degrassi season 14, which will premiere this fall. The overlapping of the end of one season and the beginning of production for the other means we don’t get many episode descriptions or behind-the-scenes stuff as they happen. Below is just a compilation of the season 14 news that’s out there (some of it might be new for you). All of the various pictures come from the cast and crew.

According to a press release earlier this year, season 14 will contain 28 half-hour episodes.
Stephen Stohn was gracious enough to post a photo of the first episode’s script.
Degrassi fans transcribed some of the stuff on the script page underneath.
There’s been nothing else really in terms of episode titles, except for this image below. 1323 and 1324 are “Finally” Pt. 1 & 2:
The guy in the photo below with Mindy is Randall Thorne (Everyone calls him RT). He’s the guy who directed the Shark In The Water and Bite Your Tongue promos. He’s finally made the jump into directing Degrassi episodes; his episodes will appear pretty early in the season.

If they’re already up to reading or filming episode 24, then I think it’s likely there’s going to be more than 28 episodes in the season. Maybe way more.

im thinking the reason they made this such a short season was to be a sweet send off to the seniors. they will prob add a few new niners through out this season. it will prob end early june or maybe earlier. then there gonna come back with a bang tele novela for summer. and hopefully even a movie. i feel clare and alli’s class deserves a movie just like emmas class. to truly finish off there class in style. and season 15 will prob go back to 40 episodes hopefully

I love degrassi since I was little now I 27 and married and have babies of my own. So ready for season 14 I hope Clare keep her baby even if its Drew baby. But if its Eli baby at least it will bring them together as a family. Zoey and Maya can become friends and Thristian and Miles can start dating more.

“Finally” is actually the short version of the finale’s title. The real version is “Finally! No more Clare!”

I wasn’t too excited after the finale about where everything was heading, but now that I see RT is on board, I’m pretty stoked. Both of those promos were extremely memorable and I remember getting chills when I first saw them. Hopefully he brings that kind of spark into this next season.
