As we know, Clare heads to NYC is the season 13 finale of Degrassi. A storm hits and Clare will stay with Eli. The fourth and final webisode shows how Eli reacts when Clare calls him. By the way, he’s still not over her.

Yeah . . . I never thought I’d say this . . . but I’m kinda over Eli . . . it’s time for him to exit the show . . . and this webisode proves it – I was just cringing through the whole thing. Didn’t he learn ANYTHING from trying to write his life the way he wanted it to go in script form previously? I mean, REALLY!
And Lenore’s confession of love . . . *shudders* Please, please, PLEASE don’t put Lenore and Eli together . . .

If there’s anything we (the viewers) should’ve learned by now in season 13 it’s that the show’s been pretty prominent about showing that characters DON’T learn their lesson, and continue making the same mistakes (I’d be lying if I said I didn’t know many people who are like that).
This webisode made me wish we’d seen MORE of this perspective throughout this past season, actually. Eli brings far more emotion to the show than anyone, and it would’ve added more depth to this long-distance relationship storyline instead of half-assing it and using him as a generic plot device. And Lenore declaring her love for him wouldn’t feel like it came out of left field if we’d seen more than the maybe 10 minutes or so they’ve interacted with each other in the webisodes.
If they’re not going to use Eli valuably, then just let him go. But we also know he will be on the show as long as Clare is here, and the seniors will be around for most, if not all of season 14. And given the insanity revealed in this upcoming finale, I don’t know where the hell he will fit into things so that it doesn’t turn this into a soap opera circus.

Kary, have you read the leaked recap? I have…and it’s kind of coloring how I’m viewing this webisode, as much as I’m trying not to let it.
I’m with pocksuppet on the whole thing – I’m irritated. And I’m sort of anticipating watching the fandom implode Tuesday night…and seeing this webisode as just the beginning of something really ugly coming. I’m genuinely not sure I’m even going to bother watching the season finale.
And while it is my own fault for reading the damn thing – I’m glad I did, rather than having to watch it unfold on screen. :-/

*laughs* I’m glad to know I’m not the only one sensing implosion. I can’t help feeling like Thunderstruck is one enormous shark-jump. There was only one part of the recap that I wasn’t irritated about – I won’t say what, other than to say I said “I KNEW IT!” outloud when I saw it.
This season seems to have been the season of random, off-the-wall pairings – and the finale will certainly take the cake!

well dam they are officially beginning to close the deal with eclare. this webisode basically pulls the trigger and the finale will be the final bullet killing degrassi’s most famous couple. degrassi might turn us on our heads and bring the love back but i highly doubt sparks between them will fly when there relationship has been dragging along like a wounded dog.
eli and lenore make a cute-ish couple. its really putting the final stamp on the eclare wagon.
i imagine the finale is eclares swan song and will be a VERY bitter sweet episode as they both realize together that there finally done.
and of course season 14 will be clare vs becky vs drew triangle with becky probably winning and i predict season 14 ends with eclare returning together haha

I don’t know why but i really don’t like lenore or the idea of her being with eli. Not bc of eclare but bc of the lenore-character : she says to eli that clare made her choice but so did eli. Eli just doesn’t want to give up on clare and that’s his choice so stop trying to change that. I’d say clare called right on time ; is that a sign ? Idk

im in a degrassi depression because i stopped watching like the last 5 episodes and im just not feeling it anymore everything feels so ungenuine. im gonna catch yup but i have such low expectations now. I was a superfan now im just like oh its degrasi. anyone else?

You know whats odd. After watching this webisode and reading the recap it felt like this was suppose to be after the finale not before. Why would Clare call Eli if shes not in NY yet. Because in the summery it says that Clare fears she will bump into Eli so why would she call him before she heads out to NY.?? Something is missing.

The Thunderstruck promos heavily elude that Clare will call Eli because she needs a place to stay. That would mean the phone call Eli received during the webisode is actually taking place during the middle of Thunderstruck.

I like keeping eli around bc he still is a strong character. They’ll just follow him like with emma, manny and liberty. At least until munro thinks eli is overdo

Yeah, but why follow him and nobody else in his graduating class? What’s so special about him and not, say, Fiona? I think TeenNick’s love affair with Eli had a lot to do with this.

Wow, Clare! Pregnant! I was always wondering why they left out the fact that Drew didn’t use a condom. But then again, it could be elis baby. I think they should make Clare have a miscarriage. It is so late to make Clare have a full pregnancy. And Miles and Tristan making out, Wow! Maybe Miles character can be bi. Also, the kiss happened right after they broke up with people. Becky and Drew kissing is just . . . . . .. . . .. . .. wow. What would Adam think? Adam might just interfere with there relationship. I am thinking that Degrassi might change details b/c of leak. Maybe!
