Wow, if the show puts Zoe’s plot on the back burner next week, I will be pretty pissed.

OK, This is becoming my biggest issue with Degrassi right now. The show does a great job at a hard subject & they should be showing the fallout of it (From Zoe, Becky, Dallas, Miles, Winston, Drew, etc.) But no, does the promo show ANY of that?
In a normal situation, I’d be very interested to see more of the Jenna/Connor relationship & Zig’s troubles, but they MUST make this Zoe story a long term thing that is hard to get past for many people. Degrassi has had many episodes in recent seasons that tackle hard hitting subjects & I can’t remember any time where they actually went through it in a way it should’ve been (Not even Cam or Adam’s deaths). Continuity is a major issue for this show

I hope so &want to believe that, but Following up this hard episode with a episode that really has nothing to do with Zoe doesn’t make sense though. I get that there are other storylines, but it’s not the right time after this episode. Even if they do follow up with it, I don’t see how you can go from “Zoe was raped” to “Jenna & Connor are having troubles” so casually
It’s more of the timing. Nothing in that promo gave any indication that a serious follow up in the immediate next episode would take place, which is really what is needed
Have the Jenna/Connor & Zig episode later, it’s just a poor time to air it immediately after this.
Don’t want to sound negative, so I’ll end by saying this Episode was perfect in so many ways. A Top 5 Degrassi Episode of All Time without a doubt. Major props to Ana Golia & Sarah Fisher for that episode. I just wish for a satisfactory fallout from it for all the characters involved

I totally agree. I hope Degrassi will stick to their word, but like you said, continuity is a big issue for them.

Based on the ‘So Much Drama’ promo, it looks like we’re going to be getting a storyline in which Zoe bounces back, regains confidence, etc. (“Zoe Rivas is back, bitches.”) Or, at least that’s what I /hope/ happens. Let’s just cross our fingers that the Zoe storyline doesn’t become one of blame a la Cam Saunders.

I think what maybe happening, like with Becky shes going to very glum about whats happening to her family since she turned her brother in for Zoe’s assault… Then we see Imogen & becky dancing. Maybe Imogen is trying her best to pull her friend spirits up. But she will not making the move on her, so she asks her FRIEND Becky to dance and thats that.
As in, Clare may see a different light with Drew they bond over what has happened and the Sparks get hotter with them.. It happens. Stefan said after Basket Case “Everything Changes”. That means after what happened after the party everyone changes and that includes Eclare/Clew/Bandallas.
For Zoe’s change it can go either way good or bad because she will be a mess for a long while.

Leave it to Degrassi to make an important, pressing issue into an excuse to put together couples (a la Clew).

BTW I am liking Clew sorry if you don’t. I think Drew and Clare will be there for each other because Mr. Eli is drifting into University life. Its realistic in an LDR especially for young couples. Clare has lots of friends in HS as Eli only has JJ & Lenore in NYU and Imogen back home..

I really like Clew as well. The chemistry between Drew and Clare works for me. I never really pictured them together until recently, but the writers have made it a slow build up from friendship instead of just shoving two characters together after one episode of liking each other. I wasn’t a big Eli fan and the cheating thing just sealed it. Eclare had some cute moments, but I found their relationship over all problematic and I felt Clare wasn’t being treated right more and more often in the most recent seasons they got back together. On and off again couples aren’t appealing to me and I’m sick of Clare giving Eli a pass when he makes asspull gestures after making an ass of himself or trying to hurt her.

Finally Eclare is going to be over! sorry for the Eclare-lovers but since Eli cheated on Clare I can’t wait for them to break up! I wonder how their break-up is going to be. It must be big or I’ll never watch degrassi again!

I actually think spreading out certain storylines is a good thing. That way, viewers won’t get sick of the character. Degrassi has had a bad habit of giving a character a bunch of drama in several episodes in a row (Paige’s three A-plots in a row in Season 6 comes to mind). Connor desperately needs a plot anyways. Now if this was another Alli episode, I could see the outrage.

Does anyone else feel like we’re finally going back to past seasons of Degrassi, with actual interesting drama in every episode? I’ve been having this feeling since Basket Case, that things are starting to hear up again. Not as drama filled and heavy as early Degrassi (seasons 1-6, maybe 7), but more like season 12?
