Entertainment Weekly has released a new Degrassi promo for the upcoming 13C block.
TeenNick has gone the fluffy, tween route with their promos in season 13, but they opted for a big change of pace with an intense promo. It’s funny how I hated Alli’s plot in Paris, and now it’s the one I’m most excited to see in 13.
My heart hurts seeing this.

There’s still no official date for the 13C premiere, but it still looks like we’re headed toward a January 16th premiere date.

Looks like since we were able to sleep through A & B, they’re planning on shaking things up a bit in C. About time. Your right about the promo, I’m sure somebody will have the time to dissect it before the winter break is over. But it appears as if all those boring episodes in the summer and fall were setting up a pretty exciting winter!
I was actually losing faith in their ability to put together a decent show. if nothing else, it should be fun to watch. One observation, everybody knew Alli’s arc wouldn’t have a happy ending, but I’m anxious to see just how far they’ll go with this one…

YES! YES! YES! Now this looks like the Degrassi we have been waiting for!!!! I am so pumped for this! This promo just blew all of the previous ones out of the water! Alli’s plot looks so GOOD! I’m officially excited again!

Man 12c looks exciting and im so pumped for it. I agree with you Kary; Alli’s plot was just dull and not forcing us to care for her story line but it looks like it was all just setting the stage for 12c. I’ve re-watched this promo three times already and I feel like their going to do a date-rape story line with zoey’s character because if you pause to the scene when she’s with Miles’ sister she says “you think I asked for it” and then when Becky is looking at photos on someones phone it appears to be zoey and she says to someone “tell me what im seeing isn’t real” I could be completely wrong but I’m calling it now if it does happen. Idk what is going on with Dallas but he is getting busted for something it seems and i also feel like their going to do more with jena and Conner’s relationship but again i could be wrong. I am just really looking forward to this block tho. cant wait.

it sounds like theyre doing a steubenville thing with Zoe. and something about this promo is bothering me, maybe it’s that all the female characters are punching bags in some way (and in Alli’s case literally). seems like too much for one block. lots of gendered violence. i guess they were tired of people calling the show dull

looks like this season may FINALLY be finding its footing. I’m hoping it ends up as the opposite of the last couple seasons or so, where they lost steam considerably in the second half (though 12C was pretty good).
im interested to see what happens with Miles, it looks like he’s being kind of self-destructive.

Zoe is going to get drunk and makeout with Miles (who will drunkenly cheat on Maya), and wakeup the next morning knowing she was raped with pictures to prove it. She is going to findout it was Luke, which is why Becky is there for her and Zoe hits Luke later in the promo.

Finally! The writers are getting somewhere this season. I mean yes there’s still going to be the tired EClare, and Drew and Clare/Zoe drama in 13C but I’m excited for the polarizing plots in this block such as Alli’s which looks like it’s going to end a whole lot better than how it started last summer. 13A and 13B were boring episode blocks, but if 13C is as good as this promo proclaims it be then Degrassi will have a much-needed turnaround in Season 13.

As long as this block is free of grade 10 love polygons, I’m down. Seriously, I think that the current grade 10 class has been involved in more love triangles/squares/pentagons than all of the previous classes combined.

Im so worried about Alli & Zoe. I hope these two stories are done correctly both subjects are very sensitive and need to be told. It happens way too much and I hope it wakes people up.

There is gonna be a party of some kind ( probably the basketball team winning finals or something). Zoe is gonna get drunk and hook up with Miles and not remember it. She will be portrayed as a slut and try to make it look like Miles rapped her. Miles will hide the event from Maya and will hear rumors about it around and the school and ask miles about it. He wont say anything and they break up. Maya will then go crawling back to Zig and he will say he doesnt like her anymore . The most that is gonna happen to Alli is that she will get a black eye and broken arm and jenna and clare are going to call the police for her after leo follows her to school after she tries to break up with him.

Okay i know everyone is really annoyed by eclare but I can’t be the only one who still cares about this ship?? I paused the promo and caught eli crying. Seriously no. If they break up eclare and I don’t care who thinks they’re annoying I’m going to flip. I hate clare and drew and I freaking love Eli he’s the best character on the show. Exept for eclare alli’s storyline looks incredible!!!!!!!!

I have this odd feeling that Zoe & Drew break up quickly.. Zoe gets hurt goes to Miles party, gets drunk. Drunk Miles & Zoe kiss they pull back. Zoe passes out Miles and Chewy carry her to a room to sleep it off. Later that night some other guys see her in the room then sexually assaults her, possible rape. The next day or too it comes out viral via hastygram & facerange. Then she finds out the nightmare she could not remember.

I think the writers did it for a reason. I mean in Clare’s mind kissing Drew is probably as big of a mistake as Eli ‘sleeping’ with Lenore, so she was willing to forgive him since she made a mistake as well. But keep in mind that Eli never told Clare specifically what happened “that one time”. She’s still in the dark, and could potentially believe that they had sex. It might lead her to having sex with Drew, then she’ll later find out that Eli only kissed Lenore, making her the bad guy. That’s probably why Eli is crying.

Eli might also cry because Clare breaks up with him. He hasn’t come clean completely with her and she was already hurt with just part of the truth. There’s a whole lot of trust issues and the continued lack of communication between the two. Out of all of Clare’s boyfriends, Eli has always been my least favorite with the mile long list of inappropriate actions and recent events continue to keep him there. Out of two current guys, Drew is looking like a much better choice. He’s learning from his mistakes and has been there for Clare a lot. Regardless, all three characters have flaws and I like he fact that they’re not these perfect people that don’t make bad choices or never lie to suit their purpose.

Hate what miles did to maya he said in episode barely breathing all those nice things on out maya and now he’s making out with freaking Zoe. Maya starts acting emo and try to ‘fit in’. Stupid Leo is hurting Ali. And Ali geting married .
13c is getting all evil and exiting.
Though I really don’t want to believe that miles and maya is going to break up

Is it sad that the only couple I like right now is Jenna & Connor… I really do hope Clare & fall for each other. Hopefully Clare breaks up with Eli asap.. I don’t want Clare to cheat. Sorry fans Munro needs to go.
