Black Or White airs Thursday, November 14th at 9pm EST on MTV Ca and TeenNick.

A public clash with Winston threatens Drew’s popularity; Eli goes home for a visit.”

We also know Tristan/Maya/Zoe are involved in the episode’s other plot.  MTV has also given a longer description for the Eclare plot:

Eli is town for a short visit but Clare quickly becomes concerned when Eli struggles to keep his eyes open during their date. After receiving a strange phone call, Clare concludes that Eli must be hiding something.”

  1. Can anyone see the writing on the green and yellow box Clare is holding in a few of these pics well enough to read it? Cause I’m curious as to what it is . . . must be something pretty bad.

    1. I think it a box of cigarettes…not sure though. (There’s a big M on it, presumably for Marlboro.)

      1. I don’t think there cigarettes.. I have never a pack like that even imported ones.. BTW its a W not a M.. It could be a film box for the 8 mm film that you have to slide into the bigger reel for the projector thats on top of Jakes truck.

  2. Maybe Eli is just tired on his date because he hasn’t been sleeping well at university. Which is pretty darn normal in Dorms. Most walls are paper thin, roomies can be noisy or like to party. Writing many Essays and cramming for exams can do it to. Also I bet that secret call is Lenore.. I bet something is happening between Lenore & Eli but I don’t think its physical yet. I think Eli is emotionally confused.. I don’t think Eli is on drugs.

  4. And of course there are only promo pictures for EClare. Surprise surprise.

I have a feeling that the other plot will focus more on Drew than Winston. Face it, nerdy male characters on this show are doomed to be screwed over when it comes to storylines.

    1. They’re doomed mostly because the writers try too hard with them and they don’t give them a chance to act naturally. An example being Winston in the episode You Oughta Know where it felt forced that he was in all THREE plots and delivering nothing but flat humor.

      1. Toby was a character with a ton of potential for non comic relief storylines. The same goes for Connor. There are plenty of potential interesting storylines involving his Asperger’s. I think it’s the fact that the nerdy males simply aren’t writer favorites, coupled with the fact that they’re probably catering to Teen Nick (I can’t be the only one who doesn’t think that it’s a coincidence that the more influential The-n became to the show, the less important Toby became).

  5. I feel that Eli betrayed Clare’s trust by lying to her about Lenore not just being a friend but his roommate over a month. Maybe Eli & Lenore do start having feelings, idk.. I bet you 10 to 1 that Lenore is who Eli is one the phone with. This arc is about trust not drugs, cheating or smoking cigarettes. Eli is trying his best at NYU. He has no one but himself to make decisions and this is part of being an adult. And this is coming from an Non Eclare fan.
