TeenNick’s latest promo is for a “Show & Tell” Marathon they’ll be doing starting on Sunday, September 29th. It looks like they’ll be showing two episodes a night from that Sunday through Wednesday, October 2nd, with the fall premiere happening on October 3rd.

So Eli cheats on Clare ? Honestly, I’m not surprised. Anything to give them drama. The writers really want this trainwreck of a show to end. They keep these ridiculous storylines up and it will.

Slightly off topic, but anybody know what kind of commitment, contract wise, they gave to the 3 graduates? Kary, you seem to have a little knowledge from the inside out, is this a 1 year deal?
I see the ties with 2 of them, but wonder what they have in mind for Chloe? Did she have any screen-time during the summer block?
It’s been discussed before, but wonder how they will handle all the grads this series? They obviously don’t have enough people coming up to fill all the lead spots. I’m sure that they have a plan, but what?
Always find it curious, they have all these meet-ups with various characters, but no-one ever asks these types of questions. It’s not that the featured actor/actress would necessarily have all the answers, but they would say something. Instead, it’s always the same vanilla Q&A. What’s your favorite______? What DeGrassi character would you like to have _____? Who’s your best _____? People get picked and have this opportunity, but then pretty much waste it. Opinions?

Thanks! But I’m pretty sure I don’t meet their target demographic. But it would be rather fun. I’m a bit more interested in the process or how they get to to the point of what ends up on TV, than the actual finished product. Not to say I don’t enjoy the episodes, tho.

Chloe was only a guest actress for Summertime and I don’t think she’ll be back (unless there was new Katie stuff in the Promo…..I tend not to watch those)
Alicia I know was in Young Forever and I think is going to be in one or two episodes most likely in this next block
Munro was in the Summer Block and he may be in this block for a bit but then after that I think Eli is just going to be in the web-series spin off
I think it’s doubtful anyone else will show up cause while Owen and Jake would still have ties to cannon I don’t think Daniel left the show on good terms and Justin I know has been doing other projects and it’s not like Raymond has been back as Sav for Alli’s plots so…..

Thanks for your reply. Your right, the only 3 graduates who actually received a new deal going forward from season 12 were Munro, Alicia, and Chloe. That’s in addition to the couple who are repeating their senior year. I’m just rather curious about what they are going to do with them. As you mentioned, Munro’s getting the 4 part web-series, but I’m betting that they didn’t bring the 3 of them back for just a couple cameos. There’s got to be more than that to it. Otherwise they wouldn’t have actually extended their contracts. From what I’ve read in Variety, they got the same deal as Christine, Dimetrius, and Luke. Although they didn’t exactly say if they were extensions or new contracts.
So, I’m just kinda curious. This is the first time since season 10 that there are actual graduates in the main cast. In the past, it wasn’t all that successful, so I’m betting it will be different this time around. Thoughts?

I don’t think we’ll ever see Katie again honestly based on the shows track record of bringing back past characters who are still relevant. I think we were lucky to get to see her one last time in Summertime.
I think Eli and Bianca being on the show will be successful because we’re seeing them in Clare & Drew’s world which is still the high school unlike with the originals where there were two separate worlds going on. So far nothings felt unnatural about it.

I’m not even a Eclare fan but where are fans getting the idea Eli cheats?? Also where are these other rumors that Winston & Imogen will be a couple. Winston is too young for her plus I think that they’re both working for the paper with Clare. I also can’t wait to see Tristan shove a pie in Zoe’s face.

The scene where Clare tells Eli to go. The only thing that would make sense is Eli telling Clare he cheated on her with someone at NYU. I believe the webisodes will play a factor into that scene.
Speaking as an Eclare fan. I’m annoyed at the writers for doing this. Clare & Eli are not capable of cheating. There are ways to create drama without cheating. I guess they really want this trainwreck of a show to be cancelled. First Cam, then Adam and now ruining a huge ship. Do they want to keep fans ?

It could happen if Eli freaks out over stress maybe he meets some new people. He may drink or do drugs to calm down with them and has sex with this new female ‘friend’? Who knows.. Stuff does happen like that in universities. I know NYU isn’t a big party school but there are clubs all over the area.

“Clare tells Eli to go.” This automatically points to cheating?? I’m sorry, but I don’t understand this mental process one bit. “Just go” can mean an almost infinite number of things.

I don’t know why anyone would assume Eli cheated based on a few words. They could’ve been bickering about something. I think most people and the writers know that there are ways to create drama, which is why the show is still on the air. I doubt the show will get canceled because some people are upset that two characters died and a relationship may or may not end. There were popular ships that were terminated and a popular character that died seasons ago, but guess what? Degrassi kept coming and Eclare fans must be grateful otherwise there wouldn’t have been an Eli introduced. It’s not even a big deal and definitely not life alternating if a ship sinks. Relationships can come to an end for many reasons and that’s life. If someone is only interested in a show for the ships or character then it’s a burden those folks have to bare if their ship(s) sink or a character leaves. Degrassi will still have fans, it has pre Eclare and will have it after both characters leave the show.
